    Congrats on picking a place!! I'm sure you must be a bit relieved that that part is over so you can actually start planning!

    I'm sorry to hear. I too am really bad being centre of attention and it makes me really nervous. So like you said, I opted for a DW to have more of a smaller crowd to celebrate with. I hope everything works out for you.

    My friend had a candy buffet at her wedding. Her main wedding colour was pink so all her candies were pink!! I also had a candy buffet at my brother/sis-in-law's shower...I had all sorts of candies that they both like. It was really a hit!

    We're having a very simple and informal AHR so I'll maybe just wear a simple dress, nothing fancy or anything.

    I've also been dealing with Ashley from Weddings By Oceans and they've been pretty good so far. Correspondence has been a bit slow from time to time. I was also referred to them by someone who used them for their own wedding and they had nothing but good things to say about them.

    Together for just over 10 years...have been engaged now for 6 months and will be married in Feb. 2011.

    I'm also in the "I can't worry about them" group!! Sand will definitely be everywhere and I don't think your guests would be too concerned that you don't have anything set up for them to clean their feet.

    I agree with the others on this. Perhaps the Cuban coffee and the donation would be a better combo.
