    I was under the impression that the resort usually increases their prices yearly...I guess I'm wrong! I'm getting married at ROR in Feb. 2011 and requested a copy of their pricelist for 2011. I noticed quite an increase in rates....for example, the steel drum band was listed on their 2009 & 2010 price list at $350/hour and has increased to $500/hour for 2011.

    Thanks! Good to know because I certainly don't want other noise interrupting our reception! Jenna in Jamaica - Just curious, I know the beach party only happens once a week...did you not want your guests to check that out since it's only there once a week? We're a bit torn about it since we want our guests to be able to check out the beach party however our wedding happens to fall on the same day (we actually couldn't get another wedding date since wedding dates at the resort were getting booked fast!).

    ames - I haven't decided on what we're doing for our reception yet and actually my wedding date isn't until next Feb. 2011 too!!! I'm also curious to see pics of set up.

    Hello... Just wondering if the poolside reception is near the beach party that happens on Saturday nights. Are they close enough that you will hear the beach party going on at the poolside reception?

    Hello, My wedding will be on a Saturday which is also the same night that ROR hosts their beach party. I'm wondering where exactly the beach party is held and is it near the pool where the poolside reception is held. I'm also wondering if the two will be close enough where we'll be able to hear loud noises from the beach party at our reception. Thanks!

    ames - I believe that's correct. I read on another thread that if too many weddings are booked at the Mammee Bay restaurant, you will be moved to the Plantation restaurant. The Plantation restaurant can also be booked for private receptions for either 2 or 4 hours.

    I would love a bouquet with lots of tropical flowers - orange, fuschia, purple. I've seen so many pics of bouquets and can't decide on one!
