    I also don't have a touchy-feely relationship with my dad and think it would be kind of awkward to have a dance. Perhaps you should have a talk with him and see if he even wants to do it. You guys could maybe do something else together instead of a dance? I'm not sure what though!

    My friend had a DW last year and at first both sets of parents were dead set against it. After coming back from the DW, they've been raving about the trip and always talk about how much fun they had.

    That's a great idea! My friend's bday is our wedding day!! I didn't realize it until we set the date.

    I'm also not religious so a church wedding doesn't do it for me. I love the beach wedding with the sand and ocean.

    I'm more of a casual girl so I'll probably be in my bikini and sundress all day/night!

    My brother and his wife went to Thailand for their honeymoon and they absolutely loved it. They said they have one of the nicest beach they've ever seen. My brother's been to Phuket before the Tsunami and did snorkeling and scuba diving and said the corals and fishes are absolutely beautiful....after the Tsunami, it destroyed a lot of the reefs and corals.

    We're getting married at Riu Ocho Rios then going to Negril (either Sandals or Couples) for another week for our honeymoon.....I'm sooo looking forward to it!!

    I will be getting married at Riu Ocho Rios. I've read many posts here saying it's a great place. I also ready lots of negative reviews on tripadvisor so it's making me nervous but like another poster said, you must take it with a grain of salt. Lots of people like to complain even if it's for something very small.

    I got rates for Feb. 2011 and they seem pretty high. I'm wondering if it would work out better for the guests to just book on their own as the "group rate" doesn't seem like it's a discounted rate.

    Hello, I'm getting married on Feb. 12, 2011 at ROR. I haven't been able to find a photographer (maybe I'm just picky?!). I actually have a photographer in mind in my hometown, however to fly him there plus the cost of the wedding shoot would be over $7000!!! I was wondering if any of you who will be getting married around the same time and is flying their photographer there, would be interested in sharing their photographer?

    I'm also curious to know what her price is and the packages she offers. I really like a photographer in my city but to fly him down to shoot my wedding will cost me over $7000 including airfare and accommodation!!!
