  1. I think full member is 300 because I just realized I am a full member and I'm at 311.
  2. I never noticed that maggie dress before. Its stunning! Any pictures on you??
  3. go to vistaprints website and sign up. You will get emails all the time offering you free stuff. You can save the emails and use the links when you wanna order.
  4. Congrats! At least you are already ahead of the game on the planning.
  5. Everything looks so amazing. You put so much work into everything you will have a great time.
  6. Most places I have looked into also have a $300 charge for the judge to make the ceremony legal. So you are looking at $300 for judge, $300 for bloodwork & $300 for document translation.
  7. So far I have really liked working with a TA. I mostly like the idea so I don't have to worry about making all of the reservations/bookings/deals etc. Some brides do that all on their own and say its a lot of work. In terms of prices I don't yet know what kind of deal our TA will get us because prices aren't available yet out for our wedding date. We are looking for Dreams Palm Beach. She has a bride going there in March 2011 who she got a deal for $1500/pp and expedia says $2000/pp. So I'm hoping we will get the same sort of deal for our guests.
  8. I keep going back and forth on this. I haven't picked my dresses so I don't know how expensive they will be. But I might just pick a dollar amount and give that to each BM's for the dress rather than paying for the whole thing.
  9. I don't think bringing your own photographer is a problem at all. I am bringing mine. However, mine has done DW before. I would suggest that your photographer maybe get in contact with a photographer that has done a DW before and get any details they might need regarding customs.
  10. In terms of contacting the resorts I have heard that alot that people wait a long time to get responses. They are doing multiple weddings a day plus responding to probably hundreds of emails a day so I wouldn't worry too much about that. If you don't hear soon though I would probably send a follow-up email. In terms of the travel agent I think if you haven't heard anything back thats a bad sign and you should choose a new travel agent. I'm Canadian too and I am using the travel agent from this website. Becky works in B.C., I'm in Alberta but so far she has been fantastic! She gets back to my emails within hours. I have never waited even a full day to hear back from her. She emails the resorts for me and cc's me on everything so I see all correspondence but don't have to email the resorts myself. You can find her on this website or PM me if you want her contact info. Hope that helps some!
  11. Hey Hannah, Definitely check with your resort on this one. All resorts differ on whether or not they require legal marriage before they perform a symbolic ceremony. I'm getting married at Dreams Palm Beach and they don't require you to be married first so I am getting married after. So since you are Dreams Tulum hopefully they have the same rules. I feel the same way about the marriage, saying our vows to eachother is marriage. Coming back to Canada and signing papers is just legal paperwork stuff. Your day in mexico will be your wedding day. And for a symbolic ceremony you can ask them to have something for you to sign so that it looks like a real ceremony. Lots of girls do this and the guests are none the wiser!
  12. I don't know much about the poolside location I just know that its an option. I would think you wouldn't need a dance floor though. The only place you would really want to rent a dance floor is for a beach reception and even then its not necessary. I think I'm gonna have beach reception without a dance floor. Just dance in the sand. As for the lighting, I was wondering that too. Especially on the beach. They must string up lights or something if you have having your reception beach or poolside.
