Thanks Desiree!! I love my dress; I just need to keep losing the pounds. As you can see, there is no room for extra weight in that dress and I can't wear spanx under it! And.. OOT Bags, its going to be a slow process. We just keep picking up stuff that I find out about on here or see on sale. MeRocket -Thanks!!! The invites actually came in the other day. We are sending them out this week. I was so shocked when I found them as I was having a hard time locating something in my colors that was niec. JWeldon - Welcome!! And, don't stress. Granted, my wedding is going to be super simple; but the resort DOES pretty much take care of the details. If I were you, I would skip the STD's and go straight to invites; but I would do it soon to allow people enough time to save $$ etc... How is everyone else doing?

FI and I also do not want gifts.. It has been mostly spread through word of mouth. We have not registered anywhere and do not plan on it. If people become insistant (which I am hearing rumblings that they are starting to) - we are considering putting out information of a charity that we love that people can donate to in leiu of gifts.

I love that dress!! I actually saw it right after I purchased mine .. and almost went back to find it and try it on. In the end, I talked myself out of it so I don't become a 2 dress bride. Can't wait to see pics of you in it..

I tried on that dress as well!! It is stunning and super flattering; perfect for a DW!! In the end, I decided to go with a different feel and wanted something more open in the back.

I am doing chocolate brown, sky blue with touches of gold and white for our wedding. Here is some of my stuff and then some things that I have found for inspiration: Invites: Tropical Flowers which inspired me: I am doing chocolate brown bm dresses (VS convertible) with white hair flowers with blue, gold and chocolate accents - they are still being made with an amazing supplier on Etsy. My dress is white and I will have a white hair flower with blue accents. FI will wear tan linen pants and a white shirt. GM's will wear tan linen pants with either blue or brown shirts (haven't decided yet). Honestly, we chose the color palette because it's natural. We want our decoration to be the beach, ocean, trees and sunset.

The dress is gorgeous! I love the color variation and the corset back..

Now.. for this year. Since Vday is on a Sat and FI has to work --- And yes, we are like a lot of people.. Vday is a Hallmark holiday for us as well; but we use it as a reminder/excuse to have a romantic date bc our lives are so hectic that we rarely have time to do that. We are all about saving $$ and hate crowded restaurants - so we planned together to do a romantic picnic in our living room. Some really good wine, cheeses, maybe some kind of fondue, romantic music and/or a romantic movie along with lots of snuggling on our furry rug. That's the part he knows about.. what he doesn't know is... I bought him a Goose Gossage Yankees jersey that he has wanted for years. When he gets home I will have everything set up for our picnic. Surprise will be that I will be wearing the jersey .. double the surprise on that will be that I will have something super sexy on underneath (I never wear lingerie, so he will be shocked) and that can be our appetizer. He he!

Dolcegirl01: Our first Valentines Day together was a snowstorm; but anyway.. FI made me the most amazing dinner as it took me forever to get home from work and we missed our reservations. If you like beef, buy a really good cut angus prime rib or fillet.. Sear the outside on a hot pan and make a pocket in the middle - stuff the pocket with stilton cheese and then cook on a broiler to however you like it done. We did that with whipped potatoes and asparagus with creme brulee for dessert- was amazing! Yummy!

Wow... those are all amazing!! I am sneaking a peak at work too (he he) - luckily my office is in the back corner so noone ever really comes back here. The bar is set so high now.. I will absolutely need a few cocktails beforehand to loosen up -- JOSH if you are reading this .. Rich and I are ready to rock our TTD. We have to live up to all the pics on this thread.

I completely agree with Abbie!!!! One thing that worried me about about my resort was the reviews about people getting sick from the food. Well, FI brought me back down to earth; you are in a foreign country and people are probably drinking the water (a la' Charlotte in SITC) - so of course they are getting sick. And some people's stomach's are more sensitive than others ... Look at the reviews in general and def look at the pics!

Oh.. feel better soon!!! I have never had mine out; but the dr keeps pushing me to do so bc I keep on getting sick. After hearing of your experience, I am going to keep holding off. Get lots of rest and I hope that the pain alleviates soon!

My work is so much like that too.. everyone here is so clique'ey; it give me high school flashbacks all the time! I have one very good friend that I work with in my office and that is it. I am very friendly and polite to everyone; it's just that when I am at work - I want to work (and go on here.. he he) and when I am not at work, I don't want to hang out with the clique'ey girls and talk about their hair extensions, botox and $1000 shoes. I agree with the others; as long as you get your job done.. are seen as approachable, then socializing shouldn't be a component of your job performance.

Okay, I am just seeing this now ... but I am mad for you! Seriously, what is wrong with people? Why do they all feel that Facebook is the appropriate place to say something like that so publicly?!?!?! That just annoys me. And, it's not the location that makes a party; it's the people. Evidently, she is not enough fun to make things interesting; so she is obviously concerned that her truly boring nature will surface. Either way, you are nicer than me. I would write her back on Facebook and tell her that since she feels the wedding will be boring; then you would appreciate her not attending as to not ruin the fun others will be having. And.. if she wants to stay at another resort; that is her choice. There is NO way you should have to pay for her day pass. Why are people such inconsiderate idiots sometimes? Even if SHE claims she wasn't the one who originally said it - why would she forward the bad feelings and bad taste on through FB? GRRR... sorry, inconsiderate people just really bother me!

I haven't checked in for a while!!! Welcome to anyone I haven't said Hello to yet!! And.. I resized theimages twice and they are still too big; so I apologize in advance! Okay, so I have been a busy little bee... I have done the following - *Bought my dress and booked all my fitting appointments: *Started talking to a the designer about customizing mine and my BM's hair flowers; they will look something like this .. with the white goose feather base with accent feathers in blue mainly, gold and brown. Mine will be a bit smaller than the pic and mostly with blue accents and the BM's will be even smaller with more of the gold and brown with the blue: *Picked out the BM Dresses (the VS convertible dress): *Ordered our Invitations; they should be arriving today: *Bought our OOT Bags (and decided upon a lot of stuff to purchase ...) Also...we bought First Aid Kits, Mini Spanish for Dummies Books and some other little stuff for the bags. *Booked my BD Shoot for March 6th with some local BDW ladies. *Still going strong on Weight Watchers online and joining the local YMCA tomorrow with FI. I think that's everything. Let's all check back in ladies. I can't believe it's coming this soon. Now, I just have to figure out how I am going to afford everything when it comes time to pay.!!
