About Lilpaisley

  1. When we were at RMB, there was a large private party on the beach. I don't know what the occasion was ...so I don't know if it was for a wedding or not. It was on the west end beach, the same location that we picked to get married. They had lots of tables, a bar station and all the palm trees had little white Xmas ligts in them. It was really cute. Hope that helps.
  2. Now that the wedding is over, I am going to sell some of the stuff. I thought I'd post these here first, before putting them up on Ebay. I bought or recived these books as gifts. I did read them, but they are still in good condition. Destination Weddings for Dummies by Susan Breslow Sardone Destination Bride by Lisa Light Let's Elope by Scott Shaw Kiss Guide to Planning A Wedding (Keep it Simple Guides) by Stephanie Pederson Make me an offer on one or all. I will mail them via media mail to keep the cost as low as possible.
  3. Yes, we used Photoshop. It was an assistant named Lincoln. If you want Michael, you have to pay extra for him. We booked the Classic package and just used the 45min that came with it. (it was just the 2 of us) We got about 150 proofs for that time.
  4. Delta – A We had no major problems on our Delta flights. I placed my dress bag in the overhead bins, but I did see another bride on one leg of my flight have her dress placed in the 1st class closet. I wasn’t too concerned about it as my dress had no petticoat and didn’t seem to wrinkle easily. One our return flight leaving Montego Bay we were upgraded to 1st class!!! We didn’t know till we got on the plane we had been upgraded. I’ve never flown 1st class before and it took the sadness of leaving away a little…so it was a great surprise. Riu MoBay – A We did get ever
  5. Here is one of our wedding proofs. It has the arch in it. (and my free bouquet)
  6. Our wedding was on the beach (no gazebo) and we had the bamboo arch w/ the tulle wrapping. I thought it was going to be the palm leaf arch, and didn't realize it was the other one till I saw it at the ceremony. We had the classic package and didn't upgrade anything. (didn't qualify for free package). I'm working on posting my review and pics now, so look for it soon.
  7. That is the Knottie Knot. It is from the DW board on theknot.com. I actually found this site from that board, so I still post there once and a while. The knot goes from DW bride to DW bride and each adds her wedding pic and a post card from the location they got married with a note to the future DW brides. Then when you get back, your picture with the KK goes up on a speial website. It was kinda fun to read all the postcards from the previous brides.
  8. We are back from our wedding at the Riu MoBay. Everything was great. I will write a review in a little bit, but will be happy to answer any questions in the meantime. I did get our low res, unedited proofs up on Flickr...so you can take a look if interested: Pro Proofs - a set on Flickr
  9. As we are getting on our plane to head to Jamaica tonight...FI and I are a little obsesed about the weather. Well after a bit of searching online I found a hotel that has webcams. It's the Coco La Palm in Negril and kinda fun to see: Web Cams - Cocolapalm Resort Cheers!
  10. We leave tomorrow!! I can't wait. It has been crazy last week or so for us....my sister had a baby, my parents are in town, Bon Voyage party thrown by our friends, tons of errands to run, and we both still have to work. I will be so glad to get on the plane and finally relax a little, but I think I'll be too excited and still running around.
  11. Has anyone had any problems when taking RX meds to Jamaica? Joel and I both take a few daily meds. While mine are fairly small and I am going to keep them in the original RX bottles...one of Joel's, a potassium prescription, has a gigantic bottle. The bottle is 2/3 empty and will take up a large amount of needed room. They look like large vitamin pills. We want to take them out of the bottle to save room. I thought about getting one of those daily dose containers for his meds and just taking all of them out of the bottles. Will we have problems? We haven’t had problems on domestic fli
  12. I don't know if it works on sand flies...but vitamin B1 helps with mosquitoes….so it can’t hurt to try. Start taking it about 1 to 2 weeks before you go and while you are there. FI always gets eaten alive, so we started taking B1 last week. It’s gotten rave reviews on Trip Advisor…I’ll let you know if it helps with Sand Flies.
  13. If I hear one more "So a dog walked into a bar" joke...someone is gettin' hurt
  14. from a fellow RMB bride. I leave in a few days and promise to have a full report when I get back!
  15. Update: I got the kit and used the Photo Finish and my Bare Essentials for my BD/Bridal shoot. Turn out great, no washout or weirdness. Plus your skin feels really nice after putting it on. I haven't had a chance to try the mascara yet as I wore fake lashes for the shoot. I think I'll wear it to our Bon Voyage party next Friday.
