  1. Fi and I just started to buy more organic food. I love the fruit from Whole Foods. To me it just tastes so much better. Although, I tried an organic rice krispie and after one bit had to spit it out. It was so gross.

  3. I think Michelle08 had the ones you are talking about. I just looked at her review, but I didn't see her list the site. Maybe you can PM her for the details. THere is a pic of the bag in her review to make sure those are the ones. http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t22752-4
  4. I'm sure your hubby would love that gift. If anyone watches The Girl's Next Door , there was an episode where they did a calendar and had some really cute ideas. They made Bridget change her panties because they were too revealing. I thought that was hilarious considering they are Playboy Playmates and usually pose nude. That pic of the naked birthday girl is too funny. I would need a body double to do a pose like that!
  5. I like the 4th idea as that would be a little more personal and something she could look back at forever. Although, I wouldn't turn an ipod down either.
  6. That is so sweet! I have always wanted to go to Mackinac Island.
  7. I wasn't planning on getting a cake topper, but now I really like the palm tree one. Hmm, I think I may have to add that to my list.
  8. Maura, you look beautiful in your dress. I really like the bustle.
  9. Our next big trip will probably be to Jamaica for my cousin's DW next year. We'd also like to go to Italy to visit FI's family, but I'm not sure we'll be able to fit that in next year too. We would like to take a trip somewhere for our 1 year anniversary, but haven't decided where. There are so place that we want to go and we aren't too picky so where ever we can find that has a good deal is probably where we'll end up. We're also moving to AZ next year so that will be like a vacation for awhile until we get used to living there!
  10. What about Children's Place? I know some of the other ladies on here have ordered guaybera shirts and linen pants online.
  11. FMIL ordered them from Italy, but I'm sure you can get them online if you do a google search.

Please be honest I dont want to look like a goof. and I plan on getting my hair done, half up half down is what I was thinking. The dress has not been pressed or anything yet. Any thoughts por favor... I think the dress looks very nice on you. It makes your eyes really stand out.
  13. Paper Source has a blue metallic and other metallic papers, card and envelopes. It might not be the right blue color for you though. Sapphire Text - Paper Source
  14. Those pics turned out great! It looks like you had a beautiful wedding. Congrats!

I was having major writer's block this morning and couldn't think of anything clever. I knew someone on here could help me out. If I haven't mentioned already the BDW crew is the BEST!!!!
  16. My FI is Italian and his parents were both born in Italy, but moved here after they got married. They are very traditional and superstitous. I had once asked FMIL about the symbolism behind the 5 almonds as wedding favors because someone told me it was an Italian tradition and each one represented something. Of course, she remembered that I asked so now that we are getting married she found these these almond flowers and wanted to get them for the shower favor-insisted! Anyway, I have had nothing to do with the shower as my aunt and cousin have planned it all. So I told them she wanted to get these things, but they already got something for a favor, but they were OK with her getting them and we would figure out what to do with them. You can't really tell from the picture, but they are on a long wire. It said on the website they can be used as a napkin ring so we will either do that, or just place them on each person's plate. I wanted to make some kind of tag that says what the almonds represent, but am having a hard time coming up with how I want to word it. Each almond represents health, wealth, happiness, fertility and long life. Please help!
  17. If all 66 are booked, can you cut costs somewhere on the jamaica wedding details or AHR to make up for the extra guests? If they aren't all booked I would guess there may be some that won't end up coming. I would still have a back up plan, but if you need to cut the ice cream social maybe you can have everyone meet up at one of the bars instead if you're at an AI the would be free. The only downside is you'll have to keep the itinerary to yourself in case you do need to make changes people won't be wondering what happened to the ice cream, ya know?
