I'm starting to gather info for my welcome packets, there more a What You Need to Know Before You Go packet since i'm handing them out ahead of time. I haven't really been too stressed either. I feel like I have gotten a lot of things accomplished over the past couple of weeks. I'm just glad we have two more weeks to go before the RSVPs are due so I'm hoping we'll get the rest of them soon and can finish getting the rest of the stuff done. We're still missing 36 so I sent an email to my TA yesterday since she offered awhile ago to send out a reminder to anyone who hadn't responded. Hopefully, that will do the trick. Does anyone know what your ceremony is going to be like? Maybe I'll do a search on here. I have no clue what to put in our programs!
  2. Travel is more expensive now with the gas prices the way they are so I think it makes sense to go somewhere where the US $ is stronger.

  4. Wow you ladies can sure whip up a tailgate menu. All we do is hot dogs and hamburgers!
  5. Great site! They had a lot of cute beach bags.
  6. I will have two bands so I will wear wear one on each side of my engagement ring. I think wedding band on bottom, engagement on top is the "right" way to wear the rings, but you can do whatever you want.
  7. I voted. I hope he wins. What a cool job to have.
  8. I liked # 2 the best. Since your not wearing other jewelry you can get away with a big earring. I think the coloring of those will look great with your dress as well.

How do you handle this question when its asked and the person isn't invited? Thanks, Carla Do you really not want her there? Do you think she'll come if she is invited? I had a couple people ask me if they were invited (who I initially didn't think I would invite). We sent out invitations to everyone, and most of the people that asked have replied they are not attending and we're still waiting to hear from others. If you don't want her there, just say you are limited to a certain number of guests for the wedding, but will be inviting everyone to the AHR where the video and/or pictures will be displayed. Hopefully, that will smooth things over.
  10. I keep seeing the commercial for it and want to get it, but I checked the website and they don't have it in our area yet.

I was thinking an etchasketch, but the one in this photo looks like some sort of whiteboard...if anyone has any ideas where to get it from it would be really helpful!! xxxxxxxx I like the way the pictures are displayed. I may have to add whiteboards to my list. I love this idea!
  12. You can change your name on your ID to submit it for work for insurance changes since they usually only allow you 30 days after the life change event to add someone to insurance. Do not change your name on your passport if you booked your airline tickets under your maiden name. The airport won't know that you changed your name on everything else if you passport name matches your tickets you will be fine.

Will be a blast!! Cant wait!! I've heard the Baton Club is a lot of fun! I'm sure you will have a great time-be sure to post pics!

I usually love surprises too but this is bothering me. Oh well, nothing i can do about it. I ordered a cake topper yesterday. I wasn't going to get one and then fi decides we should have one. I didn't want one because all the ones i liked seemed to be expensive, not that i would know i never had to buy one. But fi said you'll only buy one once so get what you want. He didn't have to tell me twice. lol My shower is September 7. My MOH and BM want to throw me a bachelorette party or do something, but I'm not sure I want them to do that. They are both strapped for cash so coming to the wedding is enough. I would rather just hang out with them in Mexico since I barely get to see either of them since we all live far away from each other. My MOH also works weekends as a nurse so her schedule and mine do not mesh! Danielle have there been any hints as to when the shower will be? Have you been invited to any dinners or other events that could possibly be a fake out to get you to come and then it will end up being your shower? Maybe just have a cute outfit stashed in your car for an inpromptu change! You will have to post pics of your cake topper when you get it. I'm still debating if I want to get one.

LOL...you girls probably think my hubby is a total jackass but I thought all of this was hilarious so don't worry That is hysterical!!! I can't wait to see what kind of stories I will have after my wedding. My family is full of jackasses! My dad's wedding had a few funny moments. First was my dad and his groomsmen were taking shots before the ceremony and his wife was not too happy about that. My cousin was one of the readers and she decided to wear these hot pink platform sandals and the stage was wood so she the shoes were making so much noise when she walked up to the podium that I started cracking up. Since I was in the wedding party I was sitting in the front row and she could see me laughing so she started laughing during the reading. Then, after the ceremony they rented a trolley and we had coolers filled with booze. I was taking shots with my dad (I was 19 at the time). The whole wedding party except for me pretty much was tanked by the time we got to the hotel where the reception was. Two of the bridesmaids had to be carried into the hotel, and started throwing up in the room. One passed out in the bathroom. After the reception started they closed the bar for dinner so my dad's best man went out to the trolley and put the coolers of booze on a bellboy cart and wheeled it into the reception hall and poured all of us a shot. My cousin (with the platform shoes) got really wasted and was making all of us do shots at the bar. At the end of the night she got on the microphone the DJ had and told everyone the afterparty was in room # XXX - MY Room! Then she went to go sit back down on the chair at the table and fell. Luckily I just so happened to have my camera handy and got a lovely picture of her spralwed on the floor (which I later blew up and gave to her for Christmas!). Good times!

And if i didn't feel up to donning the suit, I would still wish them the best, not give them a hard time! This forum helps a lot to decide location and other factors of which destination is right for the two of you! Well put!!!!
  17. I got my other order in today of more wedding stuff! I ordered the Adesso Polaroid guestbook, but I'm hoping we can just cut pictures to size. The regular digital photo guestbook only came in black and I really wanted the tan one. I think it should be OK, but may cause me some aggravation to get the pictures the right size to fit in the square. I got the ring bearer and flower girl books which are really cute. I also got bubble wands and personalized pink ribbon with our names and wedding date on them. The pink doesn't really match the pink I have been using in everything else, but it is good enough. I tied the ribbon around the bubbles already. I'm hoping there will still be enough left to tie around the fans (once I order them!). I also went to Paper Source over the weekend and got booklets and paper to make the programs. Luckily, the lady that helped me had just made something similar for an invitation and she emailed me the template she used. That will make things much easier for me! Things are slowly coming together! My aunt and cousin sent out the invitations for our shower, and they are so cute (pink flip flops)! They haven't told me anything about the shower other than the date and where it was going to be (they had booked the place right after we announced our engagement!). I'm getting really excited!
  18. No kissing for 565 days! Wow, I could never do that.
