  1. OK, that is the cutest engagement story ever. I'm totally crying right now.
  2. I'll take whatever you find. We initially thought we would need around 30 bags so I need 18 more to be safe. I think that will actually be too many, but we are still waiting for about 45 RSVPs. I have enough bags for the guests booked so far, and we have a couple people that are still in the proces of booking their trips. If there are any other people that say yes I won't have enough. I don't want anyone to go out of their way, but if you happen to come across them I would appreciate it greatly! I would rather have extra than not enough.

My BM and her hubby are on the same flight as us so I'm hoping one of them will be able to carry on the sand ceremony box. We're already going to have two carryons and my dress so I was worried they would not let us take on something else. If you find the bags I will pay you! I searched I don't know how many Targets and my FI checked a bunch too. I should have bought them the first time I saw them, but didn't. Then when I went back they only had 12, and no other Targets had them. I do this all the time, you think I would just learn to buy it and return it if I decide I don't want it anymore. Oh well! I found the ring bearer and flower girl books on Amazon, but actually ordered them with my guestbook and bubbles. I think the books were the same price as Amazon, or maybe a little cheaper but I saved money on shipping. 10 Cool Things About Being a Ring Bearer & 10 Neat Things About Being a Flower Girl - both are by Penelope Colville Paine and Itoko Maeno and they are hardcover books.

  5. FI’s wedding band from Robbins Bros. The dress I plan on wearing to our bridal shower (on sale at Macy’s) Wedding jewelry – Let me know your thoughts if you think this matches. They are different brands, but it was the closest match I could find. I really wanted a square shaped set, but couldn’t find one. My bouquet starfish
  6. Sand Ceremony Kit from Kensington Classics-I’m somewhat worried how we will be bringing this down to Mexico. It came in the blue box inside another box surrounded in bubble wrap. Will they let me check a box like this, or do you think I should carry it on? The seashells I got on sale at Pottery Barn and will go in the shorter vase. The shells will be poured in the bottom of the heart before the sand, or we will have family pour shells in before the ceremony. The heart is bigger in person than it shows online. I was surprised by how big it is!
  7. The ring bearer outfit that my little brother will wear (the other’s is having an outfit made, but hoping it will be similar). This is the gift for my brother, but we got the other RB one of the snorkel sets. I also ordered a RB book for each of them, but didn’t get that in yet. We plan on getting them something else, or just giving money. Flower girl flip flops (she’ll be wearing a green dress) Flower girl gift so far. She will also get a flower girl book and her swarovski jewelry. I might get her something else as well, but haven’t decided what yet. DIY Flower Girl bucket Shells for rings-I need to get more ribbon to decorate.
  8. OOT Bags and Stuff (so far). We were only able to find 12 of these bags at Target so my plan is if we don’t have enough I may wait to give the BMs their bags and gift until we get to Mexico and use their beach bags as their OOT bags. They will still get the stuffers. If that doesn’t give us enough bags then I may have to find different ones. I really liked these and the inside material matches our color theme so I’m hoping I won’t need to go that route. Oh and they were cheap- $2.50 each! This stuff will go in the OOT bags for the rooms that have kids-beachballs, sand toys and swim goggles. BM Swag Bags-Personalized beach bag, mani/pedi kit, flip flops (to wear with dress), travel blanket (another Target find), shot glass on a necklace, photo album. They will also get swarovski jewelry and a spa gift certificate for Mexico.
  9. OK ladies, I told you I took lots of pics so please forgive my multiple posts. Let me know what you think. The invitations, RSVP and travel card. We mailed them in the same pink envelope as the RSVP envelope. The petals were folded closed and were tied with pink and green ribbon or raffia after we ran out of ribbon. Al the paper and envelopes were purchased at Paper Source. I plan on using the same paper for my pther DIY projects-menus, placecards, programs, etc. The personalized stamps. I highly recommend stamps.com.
  10. I just checked one of our registries today because I wanted to add something and noticed someone bought us a gift already. My aunt just sent out the invitations for the shower so I was surprised to see something purchased so fast! I need to stop looking (and adding things!). Our shower isn't until September 7, I thought I still had time to update. Damn!

I'm going to get most of the diy projects done by the end of august, hopefully! I know my October is going to be crazy so i don't want to have much left on my list by then. that's my goal! I'm getting so EXCITED! I never thought of using the postcards for the bags. I was going to get postcards for the photshare info, but now I may change my mind. I love the lose 20 lbs on your list. My goal was to lose 50lbs for the wedding, and let's just say I am nowhere near reaching that goal. I think me losing 20 lbs at this point is even a pipe dream, but I'll take whatever I can lose. Let me know how your makeup trial at Sephora goes. I was thinking of going there as well. I did buy a makeup set by Smachbox that came with a couple different shades of brown eyeshadow, brush, lip gloss, the face primer stuff (I know there is a technical name for it, but can't think of it right now) and maybe a blush? I got it at Ulta for $45, but haven't tried it out yet. I figured that could be my back up plan if I don't like the way the spa does my makeup during the trial.
  12. What a great idea! I think I may have to add these to my list of OOT bag stuff to buy.
  13. Your hair looks cute. It is longer than I was thining it would be, but it looks great on you. You have the tiniest figure!

I had to work for another nurse tonight since I am so nice, and I decided to take my booking forms for Photo Souvenir with me to finally fax off. It was retarded when we started but finally got things under control just in time for me to go for supper. I went and had supper and realized when I got home to eat that I had forgot my forms. So I took them back with me and went to relieve for supper in the ER. While I was over there, I faxed off my forms. That felt good to do that. The ER was not busy and finally I got back to my duties. I was just about to start meds at 8:30pm when the ER nurse yelled at me to get over there. There was a girl that came in having a lot of pain and she was only 33 weeks along. We are a small rural hospital and our first reaction is to get them to the sity ASAP. Well this woman was already 7 cm, so she was going no where! We got her over to L & D and the Dr checked her again and she was 8-9 cm dilated. We called in the second on call Dr who had been working all day until 7pm, and when he got there he checked her and she was fully. We had her start pushing at 9pm and she delivered a beautiful baby boy at 9:34pm. He was doing so great too, but since he is so little, we had him shipped out by air ambulance to the city. I was supposed to be off work at 11:30pm, but finally left there at 12:15am. Not bad, and there was still stuff to do with the Mom that we couldn't do with the transport team all in there, but my Mom came on shift and she was taking over. My kids were over at my Mom's tonight too, and Justin is still there, but Hailey woke up before my Mom left for work and wanted to come, so she did and I brought her home. Once getting back here, I got online to pay the deposit for our pics and it feels sooooo good to have that done. Just as I started writing this I heard the plane fly over that was taking the baby to the city too. Cute little thing!!!! Okay, Goodnight! What a story! I hope the baby is doing OK. That is great that you got your photos booked. I took pics of all my stuff last night, but didn't have a chance to upload them to the computer. I'm hoping FI did it for me today since he is off. I had everything shoved in the back of my closet so I pulled everything out, and forgot about a lot of the stuff that I had bought already! Although, the only things I didn't get pics of were the centerpiece candleholders (clear glass starfish tealight holders and small glass tealight holders) and the chap-stick for the OOT bags. I had started to put things in one of my carry-on suitcases since I was running out of room in the closet and was tired of having things piled in the living room. I know the candle holders are in there and am assuming I threw the chap-sticks in there too since I could not find them. I should be getting the other stuff I ordered any day now. I still have to get the palm fans, but most sites I had bookmarked with ones I liked are all on backorder and won't let me place an order. I also need to get parasols, but haven't decided if I am just getting them for me and the BMs or for all the ladies. I also sent an email to this guy in Mexico that does wedding favors to find out his prices. I asked for quotes on mini or regular size bottles of tequila, and maracas. I thought of having the maracas as placecard holders and then people can shake those instead of doing the annoying glass tapping thing for us to kiss. My family goes crazy with that so I needed to find an alternate method. I figured if this guy's prices are good I can order from him and that will save me some room in my suitcase and less hassle of bringing more crap down with me.
  15. I agree with your mom. I've always seen people open gifts and cards at bridal and baby showers, and open gifts at home for wedding receptions. Some people will get you gift cards and put it in with the card rather than wrapping separately. Although, when people give cash or check don't do what my cousin's FI did and announce how much money there was in the card! Maybe it's just me, but I thought that was exteremely tacky.
  16. Those pics are awesome! The dog on the motorcycle is the best.
  17. That sounds so fun and I can't wait to see your pics!

I must say though that I am not too happy with the fact that they don't match!! FI hated gold and unfortunately he bought me a gold e-ring so nothing he looked at that was gold made him remotely happy. The thing is, I told him many moons ago - before he asked me to marry him, that if we got married I wanted silver or white gold...did he listen? NO. SO NOW - both of my rings are gold and his is tungsten. My ring is getting sized so I won't have it for a couple of weeks. I did poll 4 of my friends who are recently married (within the past 4 years) and NONE of their rings match. WHY?? Hubbies have all lost their rings and had to buy new ones! LOL!! Congrats on getting the rings. I got FI's band already, but mine are being made to match my e-ring. They should be done in August. I can't wait to see how they turn out. I think we might give coloring books and crayons at the wedding to keep the kids occupied. The hand held games would be a good idea. I know my brother has a Nintendo DS, but the other one is only 3 and I don't think he gets video games yet. Maybe we can get something else for him. FI and I also got a new camera on Friday. We decided we would get that instead of doing wedding gifts for each other. I will take pics of the stuff I got so far and post. Be prepared for lots of pics coming soon.

  20. We are not paying for anyone's trip to Mexico. I did, however, buy the girl's dresses and shoes and am getting them a bunch a gifts and spa gif certificate at the resort. I only have two BMs, but if either of them had to back out for money reasons I would completely understand. If you have the budget to pay for them and that is something that you want to do to make sure they are able to come then I say go for it, but if not I think they should pay their own way.
  21. Cute pics! I love the hats and the veil with the horns. Too funny.
  22. That is awesome! I hope it works out that she can come. Your make-up looks great!

We're not having an AHR for that same reason - to save cash. If we wanted to have a reception at home, we wouldn't have had a DW. We really only wanted immediate family and friends to come anyway and as of right now that is who is coming, so I don't feel bad for the people that choose not to come to Mexico. They can complain all they want. We'll send them a picture when we get home.
  24. These are great! I am definitely going to get some thicker paper and print some for the OOT bags. Thanks for sharing.
