  1. Halters show off the shoulders, back and of course bust in a great way so in my opinion wearing it up would be the way to go.

I'm her first destination wedding, I believe. Her website is papertraildesigns.com if anyone is interested!
  3. Beautiful! When you were saying you do that where you come from, I looked and it said Texas. I could just hear your southern accent (my sister-in-law is from Texas and has such a strong one that I just love).
  4. Good subject to bring up! I agree with some of the others and say that it depends on how happy you are with the services performed. I think we'll definitely get our TA and WC a gift of some sort. Any ideas on that?
  5. Thanks everyone! I'm so glad you all thought they were as cute as I did. The "Things to Know" cards I threw together after because I realized I should include some info on passports, etc. I just loved that paper and it went so well with the colors of the STDs.
  6. I think the idea of sarongs is cool. In Mexico there are beach vendors everywhere selling them, not sure about Jamaica..
  7. Finally they are finished, now we're just trying to track down some more addresses and finish our website before mailing them out. No they aren't a DIY...I wish I had that kind of time. A friend of a friend put them together for us, I think they turned out great. The picture is a detachable magnet.
  8. Can't wait to see them! I'm actually doing the same thing right now. I just got mine back and we're getting ready to send them out! So exciting...
  9. Your wedding looked amazing. Loved your shimmery cocktail dress for the reception. Thanks for posting!
  10. Thank you for posting all of those fabulous pictures. Your wedding looked perfect. Can't wait to see more!
  11. Oh and I have to add that if your guest list goes beyond around 80 you have to pay the difference... hence we are trying hard to cut down our list!
  12. Hey there, well I am going over the contract as we speak with Sunset Mona Lisa with my fiance. We're having our wedding there next October. The buy out fee has been changed to 13,500 as of recently. Basically, if you purchase that amount in food and beverages, they waive this charge. Now, you have to remember that they tack on taxes and service charges so the actual buy out will be more like 17,000. We've done that math..we'd have to have at about 80 guests to reach this amount in food and drinks. Yep, it's pricey but you sure can't beat that view! And the food is amazing. Let me know if you have anymore questions and I'll try to help!
  13. Oh are you looking for a filling? I must've misunderstood. Almond and poppyseed would be the actual cake flavor. I've heard of a kahlua flavored filling before. That would be awesome! And fitting for a DW.
  14. I've always had a fondness for almond flavored cakes and with buttercream frosting...yum! Otherwise what about poppyseed if you're trying to steer clear of chocolate and vanilla?
  15. Ugh, this thread is so great, I'm glad someone started it. We are having a heck of a time with our guest list. Mike and I both work for the same company at management level (well he's actually a VP) and we have become close friends with lots of our coworkers (4 of them are actually in the wedding party). Between going out for happy hour, company trips, and just working closely our circle has grown immensely. Now, the sticky part is if we start to invite coworkers where do we draw the line? We have to see these people day in and day out leading up to our wedding and then every day after that. Not only that, I think they'll all come! This group is always up for a party. I need advice, please help.... BTW, our guest list has already grown to over 100 with just family and other close friends. Our limit is 100 if we want to maintain our budget and not be on Platinum weddings.
  16. I agree with everyone else, your wedding looked perfect. I loved your hair! And that view...wow!
  17. Are you talking about the paper ones that you make with your program info on them? If so, I've been looking for a template or design for those as well. I'll try to do a search today. I have seen regular rectanglular heavy cardstock ones glued to a wooden handle those seem easy enough.
  18. Susan! (My typical start to any post reply to you Those are great. My fav's are the black and whites with some things in color..like the lighthouse, and the teal dresses. Simply stunning!!!! And how lucky are you to get those back so fast!? I hope Juan will do as great of a job on my pics next October!!!
