  1. That's really unfortunate to hear. It seems like they don't care at all whether they get bad reviews, publicity and the like! They know that they will have new unsuspecting guests no matter what and they are just looking to make money. I"m starting to wonder if we made the right choice by picking the Riu to stay at for our wedding. (not to have our wedding there, but just to stay)
  2. I agree, awesome idea. Shelley (Beachbride) was nice enough to sell me hers so I'm giving them to all my bridesmaids.
  3. You should do a seach for SusanK's pics from her wedding in October! You'll totally be convinced after seeing those, they are amazing.
  4. We had them in our room when we stayed there but we left them there. I didn't think we could take them home..
  5. I suggest calling a wedding coordinator, they will help you find the place that suits your needs. And you don't necessarily have to hire them for this information.
  6. Do you do any kind of specials for groups?
  7. Very cute idea! All those personal touches will really make your big day special.

  9. WELCOME! You should direct your son and his fiance to the forum too!
  10. Saraha, what a touching story. You're so right about the receiving part of it. I bet that man led a happy life up until the end because he had you great girls to look forward to seeing. I'm sure your kindness to him went a long way.
  11. Yeah, I thought that name sounded familiar. Awhile back I asked Juan to recommend someone and he told me that he was good but didn't speak much english. Or at least I think that's the same person...
  12. Not sure if this will work but here's the thread of my STDs. http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t11437
  13. We attached our magnet to a printed piece of cardstock with info on it. The card had our website and instructed guests to visit our it for more information on travel and the wedding. Once they were done, I realized that I should've included some information for folks without internet access so I printed up a "Things to Know" card on some really cute paper that included our Travel Agents number and a little about how a passport is needed to travel to Mexico. I posted pics on another thread...I'll see if I can find it...
  14. Wow, that was great! Thank you for the recommendation. Does he speak english?

My mom's drive way is VERY long it it takes a long time to clear it off so this is a super big deal. How sweet. Wow, that is sweet! He doesn't have the hots for your mom, does he? KIDDING!

  17. I know there has been a recent post about people being rude so I thought I'd start one about people being kind. This morning I went in to get a coffee at the local BP and stupidly I overfilled my cup to the very brim. An elderly man offered to pour some it out for me and I told him he didn't have to because it was so hot but he insisted that better he get burned than me. So he carried it over to the sink with the boiling hot liquid pouring all over his hand. He just smiled and gave it back to me after. I thanked him over and over again. What a completely unecessary and kind thing for him to do don't you think? Anyway, this has prompted me to try and be more generous and kind towards others around me. So this morning at work I took on a project that I know my assistant has been dreading. Now it's done and she doesn't have to worry about it. Let's keep the chain of kindess going, especially in the spirit of the season, so what kind act have you done today?
  18. Me and my Boone. He just turned 2.
