  1. Ugh, I'm sorry you've had such awful luck with rude people lately. There are folks out there that just don't care, but I always tell myself that maybe someone just ran over their puppy (or something like that) so I should give them the benefit of the doubt. I just hope you don't get the wrong impression of the U.S! p.s. i think it's so cute how you say "anywho" and "old biddy"...
  2. Very pretty. I love the colors! Creams, browns and green...that's the route I think I'm taking too!
  3. My W.C. suggested the same thing. We are having our ceremony at 5:30 and our music has to be done by 11. The night is going to fly. The reason ours is starting so late is to capture the sunset at the right time.
  4. Good stuff! Most people are all tired and loungy after eating Thanksgiving dinner but not you two!
  5. Welcome! You've come to the right place I was once in your same boat and all of a sudden it will all start to come together!
  6. This is also common practice in the company I work for. I think it's great if it's someone that you'll have to work with everyday. As for what to ask, you cannot ask personal questions in an interview but if the person feels comfortable they often just offer up that information. You could probably say something along the lines of "did you have to drive far to get here today, the traffic has been bad lately..." that usually gets someone to open up about where they're from, why they moved where they did, if they have a family, etc.

  8. That's kind of a toughie in Cabo, low key I mean. But if you go into San Jose Del Cabo you could have dinner and tour some of the art galleries and shops all within walking distance. I haven't eaten at either but I heard that La Panga and Local Eight are both fantastic. Otherwise, there is a little italian restaurant in downtown Cabo that FI and I both love. It's called Romeo and Julietta's. You don't hear much about it but the food is unbelievable (we ate there twice with coworkers on a company trip). They will make you your caesar salad to your liking right at your table, and it's the best salad you'll ever have. As far as activities go, shopping always does the trick with ladies And a lot of the marina bars/restaurants in Cabo usually have live music so just walking along the boardwalk you should stumble on something you like.
  9. So you're looking for something for the guys to do during the day before your wedding, correct? Well I'm sure you won't want them exhausted or drunk so what about surfng lessons? Or I know at the Finesterra they can set up a volleyball court in the lower pool, what about having someone organize a little water volleyball tournament?
  10. Everything looked beautiful, including the two of you of course. What were those stones you had on the tables? They looked like they glowed! Loved all of your decor!
  11. I forgot to mention that my brother's best friend ended up liking Breezes so much, he ended up getting married there the following year. Both of their weddings had less than 40 guests. Any more than that would've been too big for that resort.
  12. My brother got married at Breezes Runaway Bay about 5 years ago so I'm sure a lot could change but it was beautiful and they loved it. IMO, the Riu is a much nicer resort than BRB. BRB is a lot smaller and more quiant but older. They had their wedding in the garden gazebo but had the option of the beach. I do know that Breezes was very good about accomodating to anything they wanted. The recieved lots of perks in their wedding package..cake, flowers, carriage ride, video... Not sure about Riu, but BRB is in the middle of nowhere...any town is a good 40 minute drive away.
  13. Thanks for all of your input. That is a great idea to stay at a quieter resort the night of the wedding. Did you still have your room at the Riu for that night as well? One more question, did you happen to get the suite at the Riu for your stay? I'm so intrigued by the big one with the jacuzzi...I wish someone had pics of it.
  14. My FI went downtown on the casino night but came back as it was going on. They set everything up right on the patio near the lobby bar (this is the only bar that is open past 8pm). It looked like they had maybe 5 or 6 tables of blackjack and poker. I can't remember if they had roulette.. Sorry I can't be of more help since we didn't participate.

I was really grateful we devoted time to picture taking at the Sheraton with our families. After the wedding, Sunset was already open and since we did not do a buyout, there were other people and we were all getting scattered in different directions so it was getting disorganized. I don't even think we really got very good group pictures at Sunset. But since you are doing a buyout, it should not be a problem for you. Also if I were to do it again, I will be at Sunset earlier. we were there at 4 pm and it was enough for us. But if you have 100 guests and you are doing a buyout, I would suggest you start at 3:00? Sunset is most beautiful during daytime and since you have so many guests, you will be able to enjoy the place with your guests more? You and I seem to have very similar tastes! I actually wanted to have our wedding at the Sheraton for the same reason (beautiful landscaping, architechture, etc) but then when we saw Sunset Mona Lisa, we both fell in love. So did you have a difficult time with the Sheraton allowing you on the premise for the sole purpose of a backdrop? (sorry for all the questions)
