  1. Wow, I've been gone from this forum for awhile but just came back to check if there was a section for Eastcoast brides (my cousin is getting married in May)..anyway.. Bars in Cabo...you will not find a lack of them in town that's for sure! If you are looking for something low key (not a dance club) then I would take them to the marina. There are lots of restaurants, bars and shops with seating right out on the boardwalk. If you get sick of one place you can always walk over to another. I'd start with Nowhere Bar or the Tiki Bar. Otherwise, the place we ALWAYS hang out at (I've been to Cabo now 5 times in 3 years) is just outside of Cabo Wabo. There are three outdoor bars mixed in with the little shops and there is always a fun group of people there. One of them is called the Jungle Bar and one is Slim's the Smallest Bar in the World. The one in the middle of those two is where I suggest you go (sorry I can't think of the name). And if you want to dance/do contests/drink shots with people shaking your head and blowing whistles in your face, Cabo Wabo is right upstairs or the Giggling Marlin is right across the street. Another relaxing place is Hemmingways (it has a classy atmosphere and cigar bar) Hope that helps!
  2. I would say something to do with money. Maybe chocolates or something with a cash wrapper. I found these by doing a quick search.. Money Mints 2 Pack - 240 ct jar
  3. Wow, I am going to hit up you girls for our first anniversary trip ideas! Mike and I just got back Monday from our honeymoon in Lake Tahoe. We are lucky enough to travel a lot so we wanted someplace neither of us had been. October is definitely the off-season for that area but it was perfect. We stayed at the Hyatt in Incline Village and had a great couples massage at their spa. We also had the best meal at the Lone Eagle..great ambiance, views, wine and where I tried buffalo tenderloin for the first time. Yum. There are tons of little towns with quaint shops, restaurants and again awesome views of the lake and mountains anywhere you go. We rented a little Z300 and had the best time just driving down the winding tree lined roads and stopping to take tons of pictures. There are also great hiking trails and golf courses. I'll try to post some pics.
  4. I just realized you were asking how they range price-wise, not size I found that they range around $1200-$2000...
  5. I had a La Sposa! I loved it btw. Mine was a size 4 and it ran a tiny bit small..I'd say it was more like a 2. It was slim through the ribcage area.
  6. What is in a Wet Woody? I saw it on the website but there wasn't an explanation of what it was. I was going to try it anyway
  7. Try etsy.com and if you can't find the exact thing. Put a post on the alchemy page with a description..people that can do it will then contact you with a quote.
  8. Awesome, Thanks! Yeah, we probably won't make the trek to Napa. It would've really only been for me..Mike's not a wine drinker I just made an online reservation for Gar woods. They have acoustic guitar on Friday and Saturday nights. Fun!
  9. Thanks Jessica! That is a big help. Looks like I'll be over packing for sure..since you never know what the weather will be like! Is Truckee worth checking out? I've read that it's a neat town. How far are we from Wine Country (napa/sonoma)? Or are there any wineries near where we are staying?
  10. So I let Mike plan our honeymoon (with some suggestions from me) and he picked Lake Tahoe. We are so excited because we've never been there and wanted something near mountains since we got married at the beach. We're staying at the Hyatt in Incline Village. Is anyone familiar with that area that can offer up some advice on what to do, restaurant suggestions, what towns are fun to drive to, etc. We leave next week Wednesday..I'm sure it will be chilly!
  11. Looks like you guys had a perfect day! And you looked beautiful. Congrats!!
  12. The beachfront and pool bars close around 6 or 7 each day. You can try to set up a cocktail party at one of these bars for a price. It would be about $14/pp per hour. The only bars open at the time you are looking to meet would be the lobby bars located in the courtyard near the stage. One is called Ole. I can't remember the other one. And the sports bar is open all day. Its indoors and air-conditioned, has pool tables, foosball, air hockey, etc. The courtyard area near the stage is a nice spot to get together with a group. Lots of seating plus you can watch the show which starts around 9 each night.
  13. I almost had my rehersal dinner here. My husband and I ate there on our site visit and liked it mostly for the location, view and ambiance. The food was mediocre in my opinion. The deal breaker was the lack of communication on their part. My WC waited forever to get responses. Ultimately, we went with Panchos because we love their food, the service is great and they were very on top of communicating with us and working with our menu, etc. As far as the food goes, I would try Panchos or Mi Casa first before committing to Los Deseos.
  14. I'm not sure how factual this is but my WC heard that they might be putting a ban on private fireworks shows in Cabo San Lucas. She said that Mike and I might have gotten one of the last ones! Just wanted to warn you, in case some of you future Cabo brides were thinking about it.
  15. I say wear whatever you feel comfortable in. For ours, FI and I both wore old worn-in jeans with holes and frays because our first shots were on his harley overlooking lake Michigan. Then our second half were taken on the beach and I wore a white cotton flowy skirt and he wore a light weight button down and khakis. In an old mission you could get away with casual/jeans...maybe some funky jewelry..or even a fun sundress. I wouldn't go too formal.
  16. Amy, I just looked at your pics for the first time. WOW, your wedding looked awesome. The pictures are amazing! I love your dress too.
  17. Call the airline and see if they will have space to hang it. They should be gracious in trying to accomodate you. But if all else fails, you may have to fold it and put it in the overhead compartment. Your hotel should have laundry service and can steam out the wrinkles for you when you get there. I wouldn't check it either. But don't stress, it'll all work out.
  18. I like the 2nd one best. Very cool idea by the way. Check out Etsy.com for jewelry..there are some awesome things on there and very reasonably priced.
