Help me choose a dress!
**~Linda~** replied to linzangel's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
Like i said before in your previous post dress #1 fits you perfectly but it looks very very formal. #2 good as well looks like it needs some adjustments to be fitted here and there (small tweeks) and seems like it flows much better for a more casual beach wedding. So depending on the event mood then i would go with #1 for an evening formal event and #2 for a more casual daytime laid back wedding. Either way its just definitely my opinion as far as time of the day but just go with the one you feel more like a bride in. If its #1 then go for it! -
Ahh plz help!
**~Linda~** replied to linzangel's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
Personally i love #2 but its definitely for a more formal affair. #1 is pretty but its lacking something imho says dress to me and not bridal like it sorta doesn't pop in a way. -
thats great sounds like a huge wedding!! Congratulations!!!! this place is amazing and full of info! happy planning!

Ok so inside scoop FI and I did our TTD shoot this past weekend. I decided to hit the make up counter before hand and all the make up I got lasted all through the shoot even in the water. Even though i have my regular make up on hand I really didn't want to have to apply a base , loose powder etc. So I decided to hit up the make up isle and get some new things to test out in the water. I had no make up accidents whatsoever throughout the shoot and it was great not to have to keep reapplying but still getting that "fresh no make up on" look and feel! This is what i got: - Maybelline Unstoppable Expresso Eyeliner - Loreal Summer Dusk eyeshadow for Brown Eyes - Revlon Color Stay Mineral Foundation with SPF 10 - Cover Girls Volume Exact Waterproof Mascara - Revlon Color Stay Overtime Perpetual Pink Lipcolor (this was awesome!) I cant wait to get the picture picture teaser Saturday!

Did you meet your fiance online?
**~Linda~** replied to nicmicj's topic in Share your Wedding & Engagement Stories!
Yes!!!!! We actually met in an online game(which i will not reveal because i am to embarrassed to accept I played )!!!! LoL!!! We met about 4 years ago in the time where i was trying to hide from men and life per say ( i did a great job huh! lol!). At first all we did was goof off and well honestly just fight like no tomorrow about the damn game(he was an online jerk! lol). After a year of playing together we started talking seriously about things and getting to know each other a bit more. A year later he hinted around us meeting in person etc. He had trip planned to DR with his friends and had invited me to go. As you ladies may understand i was hesitant and completely bowed out of that trip. He then proposed a trip down to PR so we could meet. I felt sorta nervous because even though we had talked for a year, lets face it, he could still turn out to be some kinda "psycho!" lmao!... Anyhow i remember being super nervous as i drove to the airport to pick him up and when I saw him(I crap you not!! I knew he was the one!) it was love at first "meet" if there is such a thing! He spent a week in PR. It was great, so great it was almost perfect. We had an awesome weekend in Culebras island(super romantic dinners in front of the bay and gorgeous crystal clear beaches)! A month later we just decided to give this long distance relationship a shot! 2 years and tons of frequent flier miles later we are still going strong! -
Thats great news congratulations!

what to do with "the girls"

Sleeves? Bolero jacket?
**~Linda~** replied to dyanh's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
Had a friend who used a bolero jacket because she felt uncomfortable with the way her bare arms looked. In the wedding you have to feel as comfortable as you can with what you decide to wear. Did you buy the dress in a bridal shop? If so did you ask if you had any sleeve options that could be added to the gown? Here are a ton of of bolrero options. I think the boleros as nice because they give you the option of taking it off at some point during the wedding =D -
Welcome and congratulations!! Yayyy another PR bride! Hotel el Convento is gorgeous as its full of history and gorgeous sites but there are many other options in PR to plan a gorgeous wedding specifically in the west coast part!... I'm currently living in PR so if you need any info don't hesitate to ask!

Shimming in late but here it goes. First off I'm so sorry your going through this at the moment. With the wedding and your masters degree plus everything you've probably gone through during your relationship i can understand why your thoughts maybe clouded. All in all I do have to agree that it sounds like FI might have a gambling problem and if its the case its definitely an issue that should be dealt with before getting married. Only because as with any addiction the effects and future strains that it causes in any marriage especially a newly wedded couple can be exhausting and sometimes come to a point where it may turn unmanageable. Although in your original thread it sounded that he was genuinely sorry about what he had done it's obvious that the barrier of trust was broken and that is one that will take time to heal. I think at this point you need to probably just take a day or take sometime away and be by yourself and think about whats most important to YOU. I'm not in the relationship so i can not be the one that tells you which path you chose I can however tell you that you do have the answers. Try not to think about it as a black or white issue in which you should break up or forgive and not forget but think of it as what you gain with either actions. Stop thinking about the cost of what people have spent on attending your wedding. Remember that marriage is the celebration where two people become one in happiness. If you are to decide on postponing or canceling the wedding and you know people would understand then you really need to start focusing on the understanding and letting go of the rest. I hope this helps some if anything at all. You sound like a strong woman and i wish you the best in whatever you decide to do.

Im a size 4-6 depending on brands etc. and I tried on the 10 Maggie's. Although they were all still very big on me she recommended me getting the 8 due my back measurement. So i wouldn't get disappointed. Remember wedding dress sizes are very different to standard clothes. Alot of formal wear and wedding attire sizing runs very small. Don't worry yourself about it! Also like some of the ladies said if its a lace up it usually is very forgiving. But make sure you get measured by a professional before placing your order for any dress .

How did you pick a date ??
**~Linda~** replied to JillEBean's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
We picked January because of a few different factors. #1 Hurricane season is over by then so the weather tends to be clear and gorgeous. #2 Summer is way to hot in the Caribbean for FI and his family. The sun is way to extreme and like almost everywhere in the world its wedding central so the places are usually booked to the T. #3 Months of March and beginning of April are usually full of rain down in PR so not such great weather for a beach. #4 January was a great month for FI and his family to get away from the cold for a few days and into the beach!
