  1. The FI is always so easy flowing and in all honesty tries to make me happy however way he can. Yesterday I went to a boutique to try and find a dress for the AHR and ended up trying on more wedding dresses(sigh i know!) so i completely fell in love with this other wedding gown and when I was talking to him (even though i already have a gown) he said "honey don't worry get what you want if thats the one you really love just get it.. i just want you to be happy" .. after listening to him I obviously backed out due to the fact that well its more money and honestly my dress will be fine...But just having him say that made my day.... He's just a sweetheart always caring and even though he annoys me to death at times lol! I can never stay mad at him for to long.
  2. I love Etsy it has been my TO GO place for all the details(hair clips, jewelry etc.) for the wedding !
  3. Attorney taking a few months off atm to take a Legal Mediation Certification course =) .. oooh and a mommy to my adorable 6yr old!

The AHR site is putting up a big video screen so we can play a video of the wedding at the beginning of the reception... that way people who weren't there can see it... but I think maybe I should wear the dress too. Holy cow FI and I had the same idea! Lol we are now trying to figure out how to do this since the venue for the NY reception really doesnt carry a video set up in the room my FMIL chose.. With regards to the dress, im equally torn.. But i really want to sport something different for it. I see it as just a party and not my wedding but i do like the idea of wearing the dress in the announcement and the first dance for ppl that didnt get to see it at the wedding and then changing.
  5. So sorry to hear !! I wish you all the best through all of this!
  6. Ok im about to flip out crying! Ive been searching the forum all morning long to find pictures of real brides in this dress... Yayyy for my sucky searching skillz! Anyhoo! Ty gals so much for your pics. The dress looks amazing. Im searching for a dress for our NY reception(already have my wedding dress) and i think this is the one. Since i live in PR atm Ive been having a hard time finding the dress to try on but im completely in love with it and have been so tempted to order it online. But I do have a question about the dress so if anyone would be kind enough to answer id appreciated it so much =). Is the dress good for petite women? Im 5'2 so height in dresses has been quite the issue, not because of the hem but due to the proportions of the dress being all over the place lol!... thanks in advance for your help and replies and sorry for highjacking the thread!
  7. Have you see Sweet Home Alabama? Reese had fairly short hair in that movie i really liked the style alot. My hair is short as well so thats one of the options ive been pondering. My second option is slicking it back and kinda bumping up the top part(i dont know if this makes sense lol!).. Hth even a tad
  8. No nothing like that my WC is actually really really sweet and has gone above and beyond what FI and I could've ever hoped for. Shes been there every step of the way and always willing to do more. We really do understand the why shes a bit hesitant of a rehearsal dinner the night before. Our wedding is early in the afternoon on Sunday and will go on from 1:30pm till about 8:00pm. Its mainly a concern of how long Saturday night might be if everyone is having fun etc. and worries about the early wake up and everything else in the middle. I was just unsure about how it would look if we didnt have a rehearsal dinner and had just a welcome small early thing that Saturday. I think the ideas of early cocktails or even an early dinner would probably work best =)...Ty ladies again for your input!
  9. Good luck ladies! *BIG HUGE TIP 4 CUPCAKE and CHOCOHOLICS!* Only add 12oz of diet coke(this eliminates the eggs and oil usage) to a box of low sugar Devils Cake mix pour in the cupcake tray and voila you get 12 cupcakes at about 140 calories each with onlly 2g's of fat YUM! They come in handy when cravings attack! And trust me it works!
  10. I wouldn't be to concerned i think 7 months is still a long time. FI and I didn'tr book any hotel rates, we just set up a discount for the flight down if they chose to fly with that provider. We really couldn't keep track of everyone and everyone was coming in at a different time which made things a bit more annoying to coordinate hotel rate wise. In all honesty breathe I'm sure that you will be pleasantly surprised at your turn out(we definitely were and trust me I was flipping out at one point). Wait till the RSVPs come Im sure it will be a great wedding .. HTH!
  11. I agree with everyone your total redo is your DW !
  12. Both are extremely fashionable in their own way. #1 looks very casual funcky rocker style #2 looks very sophisticated and elegant so depending on what the "mood", style of the reception is then id choose #1 for a more fun, non traditional wedding and #2 for a formal style wedding .. Hth and doesnt confuse you more lol!
  13. Are you kidding! Wow those look great! Holy cow! Must hide this post from the FI lol!!!

  15. I had custom handcrafted jewelry(earrings and bracelet) made for them that they would wear for the wedding and could also use on occasions etc. It wasn't really expensive at all and they came out great!

FI and I completely understood what she meant but were sorta bummed about.
  17. I apologize if this has been asked before but i have a huge question. Last night after a long picture and video cam meeting with the wedding coordinator, decorators and FI we were asked about the rehearsal dinner. Being that this a half destination wedding(aka FI is from NY and am from PR) half of the people participating in the wedding would be in PR for the rehearsal dinner and half of the people would not. About a week ago we found out that my soon to be MIL and FIL would come with 2 other guests to PR a week before the wedding as to make a vacation stay out of it but that everyone else, including the best man would be able to come Friday night and would have to leave on the red eye Monday morning. Yesterday i mentioned to the WC that we were planning to do a dinner the night before the wedding as a mingle before "the day!" (LoL her face was priceless).. Since our wedding is on a Sunday @2pm after much debate last night we decided against doing a dinner and well wondered if it would be wrong to do some sort of "welcome lunch or even brunch" on Saturday? At this point we really don't know what to do or even what would be deemed appropriate in a DW... Thanks for all the input in advance
  18. TY so much for this post! I browse through the forum more than what I get to actually post on it mainly because, well lol! I guess Im a bit shy still! xD.. Since my FI and I are having a formal wedding in PR and another reception in NY(parents just wanted to have the WHOLE family and their mother to celebrate the ocassion ) I've been looking for a way to save on that second dress and have been overwhelmed with so many different contradicting reviews about all these websites.. It's awsome to have honest reviews and pictures to go along with it ...TY, Again!
  19. Ty all for your warm welcome's!!!
