So here are my random thoughts. My stomach is in knots. I haven't seen my FI in about a month and a half and he's getting ready to come down for TG Day, our TTD(my $100 TTD Dress) and my 30th bday. Im ecstatic, nervous, afraid. You see i never thought being in a long distance relationship would be this hard. I mean i knew it would need alot of work and TLC but I never in my life imagined to fall in love with a man whom i would have to be apart from for so long. Its been a year since we got engaged and now that i think about all the hard times throughout the years of this relationship, all the traveling(Jet Blue has it made with us!), all the tears every time we had to part and all the issues that arise with being in a long distance relationship it feels that its all coming to an end somewhat. With the time restrictions that we have job wise we have decided to leave the HM plans for our first year anniversary and save the money to buy our new home in NY and save the vacation days to go on a Disney vacation as a family in July. After we are married Stephen and I must face the challenges once again of a long distance relationship for 6 more months. I dont know how I will be during those months. I dont know how I will feel after saying I do and having to kiss my husband goodbye Tuesday morning knowing i will not see him until the AHR is March and then leaving him again until May when we can finally be a family together. These are sacrifices we have chosen to endure but I cant wait until the day when we dont have to leave each others side anymore and say goodbye.

Need help for the kiddies!
**~Linda~** replied to **~Linda~**'s topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
Thanks a bunch for your reply, help and suggestions! Guayaberas are a great idea, unfortunately we both want them to look a bit dressier as to stick to a more formal attire. I did however find a tan suit( his tux is more on the Latte/Tan color IRL) in the site you linked that just might do! BUT my goodness when did little boys clothes get so expensive! lol -
Ok girls ive about had it with all the men's and the boys attire! Everytime we come to an agreement about something, something else gets ruined... First it was FI not wanting to wear black and not looking good in Ivory or White because is washed him out. Then it was all about him wanting to wear grey and grey not really matching the wedding at all. To top it off the most recent situation we had was X-ing the idea of Chocolate Tuxes because my FMIL felt like she would be out of place and clash in the wedding pictures(sigh!).... We have finally come to an agreement and chosen this tuxedo for the guys but have come to a hurdle with the youngsters.. I have 4 cuties at the wedding, 2 of my nephews ages 5 and 21 months and my son who is 6 participating at the wedding. My oldest nephew and my son both want to carry one of the rings so they will each be ring bearers and the 21 month old is going to walk my 21 month old flower girl(cutie #4 !).. Its really important for me to have all my boys be a part of this and Ive been so looking forward to it but we have come to a hurdle regarding my 5 yr old nephews size. He is what we call a little bit on the husky side so much so that he is currently about a size 8 and about as tall as my son (say 4ft). The problem that we are encountering is that although he is a size 8 1) most of the suit sets that we have come across are only available up to size 7 2) the only other suit that we have come across that can be used for all the kids is only available in a sz 10 for him and is $70!!!! Does anyone know an affordable website that we can find suits to match and that have sz 8 available or customizable sizing? We have gone to local stores in both PR and in NY and have come up with nothing . FI is extremely adamant about kids matching each other and he doesn't want them to go as informal as khakis and a shirt. In his words "id like them to have something going on"... Any ideas or help are kindly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

need advice on bridesmaid situation
**~Linda~** replied to pineapple princess's topic in Just venting or funnies
My first question as far as that would be why your not asking her to be in your wedding? I mean from what you stated above it feels like your not asking her because shes been in many weddings this past year and she is currently moving. If these arent the reasons AND if you have been really close all throughout these years I think her feelings are going to be hurt and well you would have to be ready for an explanation at some point if she asks for one... Its a sticky situation! Good luck! -

Symbolic ceremony in Puerto Rico?
**~Linda~** replied to wahmsuzanne's topic in The Islands Weddings
As you propably are aware of getting married in PR is legal so you dont need to get married at home if your a US resident but if your just looking for someone to do a symbolic ceremony the people that are going to perform our wedding have a version of it available. They are really nice people and from the reviews ive heard they are very reliable. Ministros de Boda Puerto Rico is the website for them you can call them up their service with us has been great up till now. -
No info on the resort but welcome to the forum! Im sure you will find tons of info here! Happy Planning!

Matching rings?
**~Linda~** replied to Kelitaw's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
I dont think it matters at all. Even if i wouldve gotten a gold band FI wouldve NEVER in a million years done it since he doesnt like it. Its all about personal taste more so than anything else. If you want it to kinda a match maybe try for a 2 tone if FI is up for it but i dont think its a necessity. -
Dress Shopping

You have to go with what looks best on you. Your FI might not have liked the look because maybe the model wasnt you lol! Ultimately i think its great to take FI's likes an dislikes into consideration but you have to feel comfortable and beautiful on your day. -
This is the David's Bridal copy of that dress. Also have you seen Erudice and Columba by Pronovias? I dont know your budget exactly but if it doesnt extend so far off im sure some of the ladies in the forum have posted about their China made lace replicas and im sure you can find one of the sites that can make the dress and have it fit your budget. I bought my AHR dress from Landy Bridal and had a great experience with them. Not sure about this site as i have not bought anything from them but maybe look at the design and see if its sorta what you want Design#1.

FI is going to wear Latte Colored tuxedo's they are bringing them down from NY to the wedding. How about you getting a chocolate brown? It was the first color we thought of (but it clashed with my FMIL's dress and my FFIL is one of the GM's)Chocolate Tux #1 and here is another one. I see no problem with black either many grooms have worn it in destination weddings and they have looked amazing -
Lol! I think that its just a change to relate to other people going through the same thing and it serves as a sort of relief that your not the only one!!! Or thats the excuse i make up to feel better for the time I spend here at times! LMAO!
