This is a hard one for me.. .I honestly can't decide. This is my 2nd marraige and I had such a hard time getting everything changed back to my maiden name after my 1st marraige; that I have grown very possessive of my name. I know it may sound strange; but after a horrid first marraige and the constant reminder of it while I was trying to get everything changed back -- my maiden name began to really take on a new meaning to me and the new identity I had after my first marraige. That all being said, FI doesn't care either way. He has offered to take my name.. LOL! Part of me wants to take his name for our children etc.. but part of me likes my name too. Decisions, decisions!

I agree with the majority... don't take it personally (even though I can see how it would be hard not too). I would try to sell his current ring and get him a new one in the correct size. If he doesn't wear it even after you get him a new one; then it's time to glue it to his finger or have a talk with him about it.

I am absolutely appalled.. Who would do that?!?! Well, I assume that this person is a very close relative or you would have univited them by now?!?? If they are not, then tell them that it's your and FI's day and if she cannot behave appropriately; then don't bother coming!!! Or... if all else fails - I love becks idea.. spill the wine!

Those are great.. You had a great color scheme too!!! I am with the others though - too bad they don't come in a tan or brown for me.

I would try some on with your gown and your hair just pulled back on the side to see what looks best on you. IMHO, there is not a right or wrong legnth for a veil whether you are tall or short. It just depends upon what looks best with your look and what look you are going for.. Experiment and have fun with it...

I would try ebay or etsy... I am not wearing a veil; but I do know that there was a post the other day from someone who bought theirs at Target.

I have never had a problem wearing halters; I have always found them comfortable. I agree with the others, it may depend on your chest size, undergarments and dress construction.

You are too funny!! I love your vents as well.. they are my inside voice sometimes! I personally would tell FI to get his BM under control and with the program.

I am sure that we will all be in the same boat... My adorable MOH basically told all of my BM's (since I have no family local to where I live) that they will be taking an extra suitcase each if needed to help us get stuff to DR. We plan on taking at least one or two extra.. Gosh.. I hope that will be enough. Let us know how it goes! Can't wait to see your review and pics!

Ok.. so you need to lock the doors; shut off the phone and make him discuss it. Perhaps ply him with food and drinks!?!? Seriously though.. tell him that you need to get this done because it is stressing you out and you need him to focus on it for just a short time. That's what I had to do !!!

We chose DR because neither of us have ever been there and it just looked beautiful. To top that off, the prices are great down there as it is the 'up and coming' hotspot.. so it has not yet been subject to the higher pricing of the more 'of the moment' island retreats. As far as a Non-AI .. I would just do a google search or contact a TA. The ones on here are amazing and everyone that has used them has raved about them. They can probably help you narrow down your search and come up with some options. Personally, we chose an AI for price and convenience. It's nice not to have to carry around $$ and ends up costing less when all is said and done; which is great for our guests who are spending so much $$ to celebrate with us.
