Hi Everyone, So, FI and I decided this weekend that we weren't in love with the BM dresses our BM's picked out; they were too formal for our wedding and didn't fit with my dress. So, I ordered the VS Convertible Dress in Chocolate. It came in today and myself plus one BM tried it on. Sorry, didn't take pics of her in it for all of you but we were at work in the ladies room. But she wore it with the straps right over the bust line twisted tightly, crossed across her back and wrapped around her waist so it mimicked the neckline of my dress. That being said, I am going to let them all decide how to wear them! These are my 'new' BM dresses- These were my old ones- And this is my dress- What do you all think? Better?

I went to Target last night and bought the Spanish Phrases For Dummies for a dollar each... I looked at the cocktail ones and considered those too! I saw the bags (I already have mine) and they aren't bad at all. FI liked them a lot.

It all sounds good to me!! =) I haven't even thought that far... I think that FI and I may just do a quick thank you speach and be done with it.

KatyKo.. I love that idea! We aren't having an AHR - but since we are getting legally married bf we get to DR and FGIL (Future Grandma In Law) is too elderly to travel and my sister is too btchy to attend in DR - they will be out witnesses. Then we are all headed back to my house for a country themed bbq (bc I am a transplanted country girl in the city) with my bridal party and any other friends that want to hang. As far as our wedding goes, our theme is the beach too!!! Casual, relaxed tropical fun vibe!

I don't think it's abnormal at all; don't stress!!! For my situation, my TA was able to get super discounted rates; but she could only hold them for 2 weeks. So, I put the word out there and literally forced our BP and parents to place their deposits on the resort so they could get the better rate. Families and other friends weren't ready to do it; so I told them they could book whenever they want; but I can't guarantee their rates and the longer they wait - the more of a chance they are taking that the prices may escalate. FI and I booked our flights back in October; because we had the $$ and the prices were great. Some of the BP booked theirs; others haven't. Basically, we are leaving the rest up to our guests to make their reservations. We sent STD's with newsletters; are sending invites with cards incl travel information and we will send out a newsletter 2 months prior to the wedding. If they book, then fabulous .. if not, then that's okay too! As long as FI and I are there (plus our BP and parents) .. then I am happy!

I will ask her what hotels she likes or what vibe is best and get back to you. I'm sending my contract and $$ tomorrow. So excited!!

Those are all good points Blondie. I'm very open to other options... A central park view IMO would be fabulous. I will do some research as well tonight and tomorrow.

I think that is great!!!! I am just doing mine through word of mouth but we are not inviting a lot of ppl, but now that you brought up putting it with the invites - I may have to steal your idea!! And I am jealous of your bulldog and Jennifer's!! I want one so bad but I am not home a lot!
