  1. Thanks for sharing Mishka! You always know how to brighten the day!
  2. Hey Susan, Have you decided on where you are hosting your welcome dinner at the resort? I'm so curious to find out what locations people are choosing to use! BTW-- I never heard from your friend about Las Palapas. Did she make her decision? If she has questions she can call or email me & I'd be glad to help her.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this song? I am worried it might be more of a love song than anything- though it does talk about being there and being your friend etc. Here are the lyrics though I am sure everyone has heard the song: You walked with me, Footprints in the sand, And help me understand, Where I'm going, You walked with me, When I was all alone, With so much unknown, Along the way, Then I heard you say, I promise you, I'm always there, When your heart is filled With sorrow and despair, I'll carry you When you need a friend, You'll find my footprints in the sand. I see my life flash across the sky, So many times have I been so afraid. And just when I, I thought I lost my way, You give me strength to carry on, That's when I heard you say, I promise you I'm always there When your heart is filled With sorrow and despair And, I'll carry you When you need a friend You'll find my footprints in the sand. When I'm with you, Well I know you've been there, And I can feel you when you say, I promise you (you) I'm always there When your heart is filled (when your heart) With sadness and despair (and despair) I'll carry you when you need a friend (need a friend) You'll find my footprints in the sand. (I promise you) Ohh. (I'm always there) When your heart is full of Sadness and despair, (and despair) I'll carry you when you need a friend. (I'll carry you) You'll find my footprints in the sand. Scarletina--- I think that sounds like a great "father-daughter" song! Go for it!
  4. Hi Jessica, My brother just got married this past weekend & for their ceremony they had the person marrying them tell/ recite the story of how my brother & his fiance met. It was a cute way to fill everyone in on "their story", especially since each sides' guest didn't really know the bride (or groom) before the wedding since their families/friends live on opposite sides of the country.
  5. Hey Edssbride09, That looks like such a fun time! Did you friend give you the details on who she got the pinata from in mexico?
  6. Oh April-- I love the shirt your FI is going to wear! Great find!
  7. Hi PV Brides, I thought it would be useful to start a thread for Dreams VM since it's so new. Let's share ideas about activities and events at the resort to help with all of our planning. My FI and I (plus all our guests) are staying at Dreams VM. We are planning on having several pre and post wedding events there. As for our wedding, we are having it at Villa Las Palapas (which is down the street). We visited the resort a little over a month ago and were blown away. I have a few pics if anyone is interested-- just pm me. From what I understand, if you want to host a private cocktail event is $20 pp and for a private dinner event it's $30pp. That's if you are having a private set-up near the beach or something like that. Has anyone figured out what kind-of events they are going to hold there? Thanks so much!
  8. I'm using Prisar and have been very happy with them! I got to meet Hector and Priscilla in person when I went to visit PV in February and they are such warm and caring people. They have lots of great ideas too! I'd be happy to answer any questions anyone has about them. Just let me know!
  9. Have you thought about going with a colored return address label? I used a silver one that I thought looked very nice. As for the clear labels, yes, you can print color on them. I did that for the address labels for my save-the-dates though I do have to admit that I didn't really like the look of it too much since they were on colored envelopes. Some looked better than others.
  10. I don't think we're going to do a sand ceremony. While I think it looks pretty, I think my FI will feel silly doing it (just our personalities). I am thinking of getting some sand from the beach (before the ceremony) to take home with us to later put in a photo frame with a picture from our wedding. That way we can still have the memento, just not actually doing something during the ceremony with it. I am looking into mexican wedding traditions for us to add to the ceremony instead.
  11. Ayita-- I like your tags! Would you please share your template?! Thanks so much!
  12. Beautiful! I love them! Mishka, how much lead time do you need from brides who want to order maracas from you?
  13. Hey Mishka-- Maybe this is wishful thinking but if the rain season starts early does that mean it tends to end early? My wedding is in the end of October & I'm keeping my fingers crossed for no rain. Of course, I'm also keeping my fingers crossed for no rain for any of our BDW brides!
