  8. Valentin is one of my selections for our May 2010 wedding. The photos look beautiful. How is the beach? It looked rather rocky in the pics? Does anyone have other site reviews?

I was there this past year at the end of October through the first week in November. The days were AMAZING!!! I lived in sundresses and basked by the pool/beach all day. Nights were nice as well. I think there was maybe only 1-2 days that I wore a light jacket otherwise I continued the sundress trend!
  12. Welcome! This site is amazing and overwhelming all at the same time! My mind spins everytime I try and decide where I want to get married!! Happy Planning!
  13. Hi there, For those that have stayed at some of the more secluded resorts in RM, did you find your guests had plenty to do and were entertained or do you wish you did something closer to a main town like Cancun or Playa del Carmen? We went to a wedding in Playa del Carmen and we enjoyed the proximity of the town to the resort, but was wondering how others felt. Thanks!
  14. Depending upon if you are having kids at your wedding, we went to a great wedding in playa del carmen at the royal. the sister property (accross the street) allows kids. i really loved everything about the resort and the fact that the main part of town was a 5 minute walk. i am looking at getting married in the riviera maya, we just don't know where yet. the fiance says we need to have our own identity...LOL
  15. I am looking at a May 2010 wedding in the Riviera Maya! I know it will come faster than I can believe! I have about 10 places that hopefully we will go see in the coming months! Happy planning to all!
  16. Congrats! I fell in love with Playa del Carmen when we were there for a wedding in November! I am planning a May 2010 wedding and can't make up my mind where I want to get married!!
  17. i too am so confused! I want bridesmaides for photos and to be a bit more traditional, but at the same time I feel bad asking someone if they cannot afford to go. Someone posted a great suggestion regarding waiting until they confirm. That is probably the best idea!
  18. I would definitely recommend measuring inches....that is where I got the most satisfaction. I had to stop since it was costing me a small fortune, but I didn't notice a lot of weight drop, but definitely inches! Maybe once it gets closer to my big day I'll re-invest
  19. It is well worth it. I always take Tylenol about an hour before I go which definitely helps. I found a spa that does a great job, minimal pain and the waxer has such a great personality it seems like you are visiting with a friend.
  20. For those who have iphones, there is a great application called absolute fitness. It allows you to input your calories, current weight, goal weight, computes your BMI. I find it to be very helpful!
  21. i'm on day 2 (haha) of the shred. I find some exercises to be fairly easy and others much more difficult. I now use heavier weights on the easier exercises. Those push ups kill me though....LOL
  22. i've done mystic tan at the tanning salon and it tans your face as well. the place I went gave you the option of 2 different tan levels. it is a bit pricey, but well worth it before the big day! be sure to be generous will the tan block lotion they give you for your nails and between your fingers, otherwise you might end up looking like an oompa loompa...LOL
  23. Unfortunately my gym doesn't offer it either, so I pay for a gym membership and bikram. Fortunately my employer pays half of the cost up to $450 per year. Thank god! Day 2 of the shred....OMG some of those exercises are SO hard!!!
  24. I attended a wedding at The Royal in Playa del Carmen. This is an adults only AI though. Our friends got married on the beach, but I am not sure of their other locations. They were supposed to have their reception on the beach, but due to weather it was moved to Pelicano's which actually turned out better. I stayed for a week and had a fabulous experience. The food and service was great! I really enjoyed that the resort was so close to town and not completely secluded. That gave us the opportunity to walk into town to enjoy restaurants, shopping and bars. I know they have a kid friendly location accross the street, but I cannot remember the name. Happy planning!
