  1. I may be biased, but I am going with fuchsia, lime green and orange so I am partial to those colors. I do think that bright colors work best in a beach setting since the sun is strong and you have the backdrop of the water and sand. I love looking at sites like snippet & ink: daily wedding inspiration and Style Me Pretty - The Ultimate Wedding Blog for inspiration. Maybe that will help!
  2. I got my wedding band from Ross-Simons - Fabulous Jewelry. Great Prices. Since 1952. and FI's is from Amazon. My e-ring is from a local jewelry store. There's definitely no rule that you have to get a separate wedding band-- for years my mom just had one band. (She got another set later on and gifted the diamond to my brother/SIL).
  3. They are from Etsy seller By the Card. She is going to use fuchsia pocketfolds instead of the papaya ones. Her prices are totally reasonable too. I love the palm tree motif because the two palms mirror the ones at our ceremony site!
  4. I am clueless about designing my own stuff, but there are a lot of cute and affordable options on Wedding Invitations, Bridal Shower Invitations & Announcements by Wedding Paper Divas.
  5. Those look super cute! I think it's nice but not necessary to have everything match. We sent out STDs almost 10 months out and we were nowhere near picking out invitations at that point. So ours are totally different.
  6. We're asking for RSVPs for three events, the welcome party, wedding and brunch. Our response date is 1 month out. Here's what it looks like: Please respond by April 16. Name(s):___________ __Will attend wedding and reception __Unable to attend __Will attend sunset cocktails __Unable to attend __Will attend Sunday brunch __Unable to attend __Number attending
  7. I agree, especially if you are the one paying for it! However, if you are willing to compromise I can suggest Islamorada. It's a lot closer to Miami but you still get that awesome Keys-y vibe.
  8. Wow I love them! Pink, green & palms are the direction we're going too-- can't wait to be able to post mine
  9. I am 5'7" and about a 10/12 on the bottom (smaller on the top tho). Here's me in one of the more mermaidy dresses I tried on: I also found that I liked a drop-waist and dresses that had an asymmetrical waist. I ended up with a slim A-line that is pretty fitted through the upper part of the hip. Good luck!
  10. What a cute idea! I haven't decided what to do for programs yet-- there are a lot of good ideas on this thread.
  11. Wow, she sounds seriously bitching and unstable! Be glad that you're out of that drama llama's wedding. If I were you, I'd start distancing from this friendship.
  12. Like my username says, I'm getting married in Islamorada! There is definitely a ton to do in the area and people can plan longer trips to visit Key West, the Everglades or Miami if they like.
  13. Ooh that is a neat look! My FI was similarly picky-- I swear we went to 10 different jewelry stores and he didn't like anything! This after searching online for ages. He finally went with a tungsten band etched with a Celtic knotwork pattern.
  14. I would check out a serious lingerie shop-- not Victoria's Secret or most department stores -- and get a professional fitting done. Here in Atlanta we have Intimacy but I'm sure there are other places that are similar. Then you can find something that fits you perfectly. Before I got a reduction, I had thought I was a 36DD but I was really a 32G!
