  1. Hi Stina! We absolutely loved Bob's Bunz-- used them for welcome party (key lime tarts to die for!), wedding cake (perfect, beautiful & tasty) & even the day after brunch (cinnamon buns, yay!). I didn't find them super pricey but they are not as cheap as Publix (grocery store chain), which is a good option if you're on a budget. Our DJ was Liquid DJs and they were fantastic-- very professional and just the eclectic mix we were looking for. I highly recommend them. I found out about them through WeddingWire. For flowers, we used Floral Fantasy. They had good service-- my mom mainly worked with them, since she was way more concerned about the flowers than I was. I loved my bouquet and everything else they provided turned out great. Let me know if you have questions about other vendors-- I have plenty of opinions!
  2. Nadine, if I'd had bridesmaids that is one of the dresses I would have considered! I wore it to a shower & also on our honeymoon cruise .
  3. Ok, now they are working and I think #1 definitely! But you look awesome in all of them.
  4. Bright rhubarb is more of a hot coral color-- I have a pic of me in it but on the computer it looks pinker than it is IRL.
  5. For some reason not all of the pictures are opening for me. I can only see the front of #2 and the back of #2 and #3. They both look flattering and pretty on you though!
  6. I love #1 on you! Sweet and sexy! The other too are a little too revealing IMO.
  7. Wow, you look amazing! I love the satin against your skin-- so flattering.
  8. Ooh, that was my fave! That color will look awesome on blondes. You really can't go wrong w/ J. Crew in my opinion. I've tried on the first two, and while they are very cute, they are super casual and not as bridesmaidy. And the bright rhubarb color (of the last dress) is really a hot coral-- v. different than the website. (I ordered the twist-front crinkle chiffon in bright rhubarb for a shower.)
  9. I saw this site on a blog today and immediately thought of BDW! There are some gorgeous dresses on here-- some for a more casual bride, some fancier and some that would be great for TTD. Tamara Catz — wedding
  10. I am glad to hear that you are feeling more confident about a move. I still think it is very important that you get counseling of some sort-- I can't stress that enough.
  11. I have to say that I have no respect for cheaters, no matter what the circumstances are. If Leann is separated, I guess that's one thing but Eddie was still in his marriage. Has anyone else heard the rumors that Leean's husband is gay?
  12. Oh sweetie, you have shouldered so much in the last five years. You are so strong! Though I haven't been through your exact situation, I have been in a similar place and I can't recommend counseling enough. You are coming off a string of tragedies that most don't see in a lifetime, much less two years. Whether you go to a grief support group, individual counseling or a weight loss support group, I think you could really benefit from taking time to process what's happened in your life. I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but it alarms me a little that your FI wants to rip you away from your family home. Especially after all you have been through. I don't know, it just seems like he should be supporting you, not forcing you to do something you don't want to do. Plus you seem to jump from relationship to relationship without really thinking things through (again, not judging, I have so been there) and I think you need to take a step back before you get married and move away.
  13. Ooh that dress is gorgeous! Personally, I think "beach-appropriate" means different things to different people-- anything from a simple sundress to a big gown. And the fact that you're not actually getting married in the sand gives you more leeway.
  14. I love #1 on you! #2 is nice but it doesn't have the oomph of #1. The rest are OK. You have an amazing figure-- be proud of it!
  15. I think you made the right choice-- dress #1 is so much prettier and more flattering on you! #2 doesn't hold a candle in my opinion.
  16. This whole thread is just reinforcing how glad I am that I never set foot in a David's Bridal. I got a fantastic dress of much better quality for about the same price ($900) as David's higher-priced gowns, and I had amazing customer service because it was a locally owned business that cares about their customers. (Sample gown that was in perfect condition.) My alterations were done by a highly recommended local seamstress-- this woman is seriously an amazing talent-- and they were at a good price. I say this because a lot of women think that DB is the only bargain option, and it's not.
  17. I bought mine from Tracey Asai as well and really liked them! The light ivory went perfectly w/ my dress and the pearl floral detail was really pretty. Stock photo
  18. It looks very similar to a lot of Claire Pettibone's designs. I've seen them in person and they are gorgeous but $$$. Good luck!
  19. It is beautiful on you-- and congrats on the awesome deal!
