  1. Congratulations and happy planning!
  2. I love that dress-- the lace is so pretty! And really, if you love it, go for it. I am wearing a more traditional gown than I expected and it's all good.
  3. After being out of town and sick through most of the holidays, I'm back in the game! Today is a rest day, but on Friday I ran/walked for about 30 minutes. Saturday I did a circuit workout at the gym with medicine balls and yesterday I ran for 30 minutes straight. FI and I are going to run a 5K and 10K together too.
  4. Wow they are gorgeous! I love the colors (those are my wedding colors too, along with lime) and the printed paper is adorable.
  5. I would keep an open mind when you go dress shopping. I really thought I wanted a more beachy dress, i.e. in chiffon or charmeuse with a simple silhouette and not much embellishment. Unfortunately all of those looked awful on me! It turned out that a more structured dress was much more flattering, and I ended up with a slim A-line in silk taffeta.
  6. Ooh that sounds great! Be sure to share it all with us-- I love seeing this kind of thing come together!
  7. Mine are raspberry, lime and orange. My dress is ivory, FI will wear a tan linen suit and the flowergirl will wear a fuschia dress. There will be some bamboo elements in the decor and invites as well.
  8. Georgia doesn't recognize common-law either, so we definitely have to make it legal. I've always wanted a big party anyhow!
  9. That is the sweetest story! I am so glad you had the chance to dance with your step-father. It reminds me of the Luther Vandross song.
  10. Sorry, Cristiano Ronaldo. You're too metro for me! 2. Matt Damon 13. Gerard Butler 15. Will Smith 18. Jake Gyllenhaal 24. Ryan Eggold 27. Roger Federer 43. Gavin Rossdale 48. Antonio Banderas 55. Pierce Brosnan 64. Christian Bale 65. Mark Wahlberg 66. David Beckham 74. Tyson Beckford 76. Josh Holloway 77. Scott Speedman 78. Josh Lucas 80. Blair Underwood 88. Tim Daly 101. Andre Balazs 103. Alex Ferrer 106. Cayetano Rivera Ordonez 107. Ryan Reynolds 108. Nathan Gunn 112. James Franco 113. Joshua Jackson 124. Rob Marciano 129. Lenny Kravitz 131. LL Cool J 133. Morris Chestnut
  11. Too fun! Where in CO are you? My brother and SIL used to live in Edwards, and they were always taking fun snow pics.
  12. Oh I love your veil/headpiece! I think birdcage veils are so fun and vintagey. You are going to be one chic bride!
  13. I would wait until you have the details nailed down-- it will save your guests some confusion and you from having to send out multiple mailings.
  14. I used the Target version of Crest Premium White Strips-- they are wax instead of plastic-- and they worked really well. My gums did get a little irritated but if I moved the strips a little to stay off the gums it was fine. It was kind of like wearing wax lips 2x a day. But worth the trouble in my opinion!
  15. I am finally back on the exercise wagon after having to take several months off due to surgery on my foot. Woo hoo! Thursday and yesterday I did a circuit routine with medicine balls and Sunday I took a long walk with FI. I am going to try running tonight (haven't been able to do that since the surgery) and see how that goes. FI and I are planning to sign up for a 5K soon and then a 10K. I would love to do a half (did one in '07 before the foot probs) but I don't think I'll be ready for that yet.
  16. Too funny! I remember when I bought some Always pads when that slogan came out and my response was, go fuck yourself Always! My periods are not happy times! I didn't write them a letter though.
  17. As a former reporter (now in PR) I have been following this investigation with delight! It is just too over the top-- I love it. I was not really familiar with the Gov. before this but it is just fascinating to me. Can you imagine covering this story?
  18. I've made a bunch on Polyvore. Here they are! The final one (I hope!) One with an aqua/soft coral palette One with a raspberry/lime palette
  19. My dress had a list price of $3,100 and I got it for $900. I personally would not pay more than 50 percent of the list price, unless it was a brand-new sample that had never been tried on. (And I'm not sure those exist, or would be for sale!)
  20. Oh the dress is just gorgeous on you! Glad you scooped it up!
