  1. I've been missing out on so much info here lately. CONGRATS ON THE LIL BUMP!!! But man o man does that suck. I hope you can get it all worked out, fingers crossed for ya!

They just don't get it. I would just make it clear to both of them that there is a big possibility that she may not be allowed on property. Plus, the BM should be around to have fun with the groom in the days before the wedding! IMHO If all else fails, just slap her!
  3. You might also read the thread on the Scared Heart Diet- if you stick to the soup recipe, eat fruit and skip the beef you will easily loose 5-10lbs.
  4. So since we are talking about name changes I have a question.. I'm not officially changing my name until October b/c I'm in a DW in Belize at the end of October and I just figured it would be easier to change everything at once and not worry about my passport, ID, credit cards, plane ticket, etc not all matching up. So, do I go by maiden name until I change it??

But it was a free service so I can't complain.

She also sent a really nice card and a sweet little starfish necklace, to remind me of BDW every day! Thank you so much, Courtney!!! I'm so glad you got it and you like it!! When you told me your fav color was pink I didn't think i would be able to find any stones in that color so when I saw these I just had to get them. I can't wait to see what you make with them!!!!!

Here is some stuff I just did
  8. Beautiful!! You were glowing in every pic! I can't wait to see more
  9. I tend to think that the people that make excuses would do that regardless of where the wedding was taking place or how much it would cost them so just do what you want- it's YOUR WEDDING!
  10. Right on Celina!! I think sometimes our friends and family forget that even though this is a vacation for them, it's our wedding day and we should be able to have it wherever and however we want and if it's not convenient for them then they don't have to be there. I'm sure this chick doesn't know about the 80/20 rule and once she understands she may ease up on her attitude.
  11. It's beautiful, I love the tiers on the skirt!!! I'm so glad you found a dress that you feel wonderful in.
  12. Congrats! I hope you are having a wonderful time in Cabo!!
  13. I'm out of town for work but my DH mailed my package out on Monday for me. I have no idea how long it takes for something to get from Atlanta to Canada, but hopefully you will get it soon!
  14. Do you have an Express store? I just saw some very pretty dresses there about 2 weeks ago.
  15. Jr Suite: Jacuzzi Suite: Also has a walk-in closet and huge shower I know some girls have posted pics of the suite with the jacuzzi on the roof but I can't think of who it was... if I find it I'll add it here
  16. There are 3 suite types- the cheapest one just comes with a little sitting area. The next upgrade has a jucuzzi in the middle of the room and a much bigger sitting area. Then the most expensive one has a 2 story balcony with the jacuzzi on the roof. Let me see if I stiill have pics in my photobucket account....
  17. It will work, we used a picture frame that was really narrow and it was fine. We got some sand on the table but who cares! Ours was after the vows and ring exchange. Then after the sand we signed the marriage certificate, pronounced husband and wife, kissed, then walked down aisle. It flowed well.
  18. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my jewelry business and can't wait until I can do that full-time!! Hopefully within the next 2 years that will be reality. Until then, I work for a non-profit where i run a high school peer leader program for teens practicing abstinence until marriage. I love the teens I work with and feeling like the work I do actually means something to someone. But it gets discouraging sometimes when I see how many kids we don't reach or reach too late and they have already gotten pregnant, gotten an STD, fallen into depression....
  19. I can't help with finding a photog, but I can tell you if you can get someone who will allow you to have the pics on a high res CD so that you can make your own photobook you will come out way cheaper. You can make them on sites like Shutterfly and Snapfish for like $30.
  20. Heck yea! I had plenty of bells and whistles and a fantastic photog for that amount. I just picked a resort (RIU Ocho Rios, Jamiaca) where there were lots of things for free- like a dinner reception at a simi-private restaurant, etc. By doing a lil research I found that we could afford to stay for 10 days if we went with the RIU over some of the other more branded places like Couples, Sandals, Beaches...
  21. I don't know why they even say 30 days anyway! When we had our sit down meeting with her she had our documents in the folder with all the other info she had about our wedding so it's not like she had sent them off to the county office or something.
  22. I don't see why not. Your guests shouldn't even have to know that the ceremony isn't "official" I gave our minister a word-for-word ceremony that I wanted and he read exactly what i gave him and then he added in a few things that they must say, like can anyone see why these two cannot legally marry speak now or forever hold your peace.... i didn't have that written down and he added it. And I included a few places for him to add his own prayers, which he kept short and sweet.
  23. Those are the same ones I used to make my hair flower and i used some pink ones for my BMs. They look real in all the pics. Your centerpieces will be really pretty, can't wait to see a pic!
  24. Very Nice!! I agree that chocolate or champaign would be very pretty and elegant.
