  7. The fake ones are pretty easy to make too. If you can find the flower that you want at a craft store you can just hot glue it to a hair comb or bobby pin. I made mine and all my BMs.

But I got back on the wagon Monday and even though I have added a little meat here and there and haven't hit the gym since last Wednesday I have kept off 3lbs which is pretty good for me.
  9. I used the free one as a toss bouquet. We requested that the sand ceremony be set-up inside the gazebo instead of off to the side. The minister had us sign the marriage license right after the sand ceremony since we were already at the table.
  10. I would suggest shoes for the reception if you are going to be at Mammee Bay or Plantation, even if its just some Old Navy flip flops. I'm not sure they will even let you in without shoes. They do enforce the dress code at the restaurants.
  11. I think you send them out as soon as possible to give people time to plan accordingly. I sent mine a year in advance with details on the resort including prices and the contact info for our TA.
  12. Welcome!! There are a ton of upcoming and past Jamaica brides on here so you should find the answers to all your questions. I loved the RIU resort where i got married but there are a ton of places to choose from. Happy planning!
  13. Those are great, I love your FI doing the karate kick- lol You guys look really happy together!
  14. I have only been on Royal Caribbean and Carnival but I thought Carnival was more fun. The entertainment on Royal seemed more geared to an older crowd. Everything else (food, rooms, service) seemed equal.
  15. Welcome!!! ROR brides are taking over the forum You will love the RIU, check out the wedding review section for lots of great detail and pics from all the girls that have come back in last few months. Happy Planning!
  16. More fabulosity!! It looks like you had a perfect day, congrats again!
  17. Morgan Congrats! Who knew you were such a sex kitten! Every picture is fabulous!
  18. So I thought yesterday was banana day, but its really today. I think I'm gonna hate bananas by the end of today. And I wasn't thinking when I decided to start this week, I have a trunk show at a local boutique this friday and saturday ALL DAY from 9am-9pm! I'm gonna take lots of fruit with me to munch on, but I may have to break down and have a sandwich or something b/c I can't really take bowls of soup with me. If I do that, i think i will skip the 20 oz of beef and just have subway or publix. Keep up the good work ladies!
  19. Yooowza! My 2nd batch of soup is way on the spicy side!!! I had to add some white beans to my bowl just so I could eat it. And now i'm drinking milk to cool off my mouth!
  20. Well this is the start of Day 3 and I'm down 4lbs! Man was that baked potato delicious last night, I even ate the skin which i never eat! My DH is sorta doing the diet with me. I caught him eating some turkey bacon the first night though-lol. And he keeps asking me if he can eat some other soup, like beef and barley or cream of chicken! I worked out the first day but didn't have time yesterday so I'll be back at the gym tonight. And I've got to make more soup b/c DH ate like 4 bowls yesterday and finished off the pot. All in all, I'm glad we are doing this b/c just in 2 days I have realized how crappy we normally eat.

  23. Ok, the soup is not so bad. I had to make some changes to the recipe b/c DH is a super picky eater. Instead of celery and tomatoes we have zucchini and squash. I think today will be pretty easy to get through, but tomorrow is gonna be bad. I don't think i can eat veggies without some kind of dip or sauce so looks like i'll be enjoying lots of soup! Wonder if salsa is ok... it's almost the same as rotel right?

They pretty much listen to the same music we listen to so I wouldn't worry about it too much. I was kinda worried that they just had a random person "pretending" to be a DJ, but he was legit.
