  1. This is such a lovely idea - I really like the idea of family donating brooches. What a great way to include family heirlooms - especially as they are not always the type of things you would wear any more!
  2. What a fantastic idea - everytime I look at this forum I find more and more things that I want to make and yet I have less and less time!
  3. I love reading these stories. We didn't meet on an online dating site - but a mutual friend thought we'd be perfect for each other and suggested us as friends on facebook. He took the plunge and after chatting for a bit asked me out. The rest is history!
  4. Aw so cute - bet you love telling people your story!
  5. I'm soooo going to miss my old name. I've grown quite attached to it. Looking forward to getting and being married but being a Mrs X sounds like my mum! Plus - I've had my email address which is just my first and last name for a gazillion years. There's no way I'll be able to get that for my new name now. Gonna have to be MrsX number 20000000 or something I think!
  6. You ladies are awesome - so much advice. Hope it's as straight forward as some of you have said.
  7. Ooops - just realised I was still clicked onto the wrong thread when I started this. Anyone know how I can move it? Apologies but we could turn it into a 'funny'!
  8. Ok - time for a bit of fun. Let's get a story going. The rules are simple - just add to the beginnings of the story below and try to keep it going by ending on a cliff hanger. You can make it as silly as you want: I was standing on the most beautiful beach in the world getting ready to marry the man I love. The sand was soft and white, the sea was a sparkling blue, the palm trees were swaying and everything was perfect. Suddenly ...
  9. That made me laugh out loud - and that dress. Guess she is really really proud of her ... um ... figure!
  10. Oh that just sucks. I really hope that you can try to think of the good memories of the day and just enjoy being married without letting thoughtless people ruin it. Try to remember that they are probably wrapped up in their own lives and as much as it is selfish and hurtful, I would hope that they don't mean to be. Congratulations x
  11. I also missed that post - thanks so much for re-directing us to it! Definitely another thing on my list to do
  12. I would always try to do an informal phone call or email if at all possible, I just think it's easier
  13. Having my e-ring re-dipped at the moment as it's white gold and was looking a bit dull. Feel naked without it, but I guess if I can live this long without it I can wait another couple of weeks until the wedding to wear it again.
  14. There is a thread on here somewhere about what material works best for TTD. Not sure I would be happy wearing my wedding dress for the TTD shoot - would be too worried it'd get totally ruined
  15. Those globes are so adorable - I want one! I think OOT bags will be enough for us though, and maybe favours at our AHR
  16. Thanks for sharing - that is such a great idea and looks like so much fun
  17. @jana297 - I love your colour scheme especially how the cocktail on the table seems to match as well!
  18. Still working my way there - the games are a fun way to get your posts up and also make a good break from all the wedding stress!
  19. Emilie de Ravin - Roswell Hight
  20. Sleeping With The Enemy - Patrick Bergen
  21. Pretty Woman: Richard Gere
