  1. that dress is stunning. i tried it on too and it's one of my top 3 contenders right now. if it's only $300 dollars over budget...save the money some place else. also...when i tried the dress on, they said it was going to need quite a bit of alterations done (i'm small busted). that right there is the one thing that is stopping me from getting the dress, i have no idea how much extra money it is going to cost. talk it over with the bridal shop before you buy so you know & understand what the real costs involved are.
  2. well originally i did not want to have bridesmaids, but my FI asked 4 of his friends to stand up for him before he even proposed to me. so i asked 4 friends as well. we have offered to pay for all of the bridal party wedding day clothes as a gift to them for being part of our day. i also told the girls to pick out a kneelength black dress that would suit their body type and that they think they would like to wear again. out of the 8 people only 1 person has said they want to pay for their own outfit. i think it's because that is the 1 friend who i have been in her wedding and i had to pay for my own outfit then. i told her if she can come on the trip then it's one less thing she has to pay for that day. in the long run it is all adding up but we also budgeted for the clothing costs too.
  3. thanks for posting that. i hadn't looked into that place yet. we are still deciding on our location too.
  4. oh, when i get enough points i'll have to download that. thanks for sharing.
  5. i haven't bought my dress yet either, but i have been to 4 different shops. 3 i went with my mom and the salesgirls all said they think it's better to go with one person instead of a big entourage like you see on 'say yes to the dress'. i did go to a store alone and it wasn't bad, it was kinda nice actually. i forgot the camera though so i couldn't get any pics of me in the dresses i tried on. good thing is that place is by my work so i might go again on my lunch break so i can show someone. if you do go alone just bring the camera, it really helps when you can keep track of the different dresses you liked to reference later on. good luck!

  15. Just wondering if someone could recommend a toronto photographer for engagement photos. We are open to suggestions. We had someone in mind but they are out of town and we are so busy that I don't know if driving 3 hours to do a photoshoot is going to work for us. Thanks so much, Wendy
