    OMG congrats to everyone, I'm so happy for you all I know it's been awhile and let me tell you the horror story I went through with Andrew. But to make it short, some of you know we broke up in January, just 3 months before our wedding. Things weren't right at the time BUT we reconciled and ELOPED in Las Vegas. I know, so cliche but the situation was just right. I had already switched my plane tix from Cancun to las vegas and Andrew came last minute and everything was just so perfect. I'm still not out of the water yet with the whole wedding planning. My parents a throwing me a vow renewal/ wedding reception in August to honor our families, that's so nice of them. And hubby and I still haven't had our official honeymoon yet lol (we're thinking Bora Bora). Everything is so backwards but I don't care... I married my bestfriend So congrats once again to all. I have to catch up to all I have missed these past few months.
  3. So my wedding was cancelled just 3 months prior to it happening. I am sucking up my pride and tears but I must sell these items quickly. I can no longer bear to look at them. I have two gorgeous dresses, one for the ceremony and the other meant for TTD. Maggie Sottero - Michelle I normally wear size 4 but when I looked at the size chart I purchased a size 8 in Diamond White (picture below featured in Light Gold) and it fits just fine. Never worn nor altered. Purchased for $680, asking for $500 Davids Bridal - SRL9499 Size 6 in ivory Never worn nor altered. Purchased for $100 asking for same. Interested buyers please PM me.
  4. For those having a civil ceremony, this is what I got as the script (well, one of many depending who the JOP is): IN CANCUN, MUNICIPALITY OF BENITO JUAREZ, STATE OF QUINTANA ROO, MEXICO, WE ARE GATHER TO CELEBRATE THE CIVIL MARRIAGE OF (GROOM´S FULL NAME) AND (BRIDE´S FULL NAME) YOU ARE BOTH (NACIONALITIES) CITIZENS, YOUR WITNESSES (FULL NAME OF THE 4 WITNESSES). YOU ARE BOTH ENTERING INTO A UNION THAT IS THE MOST CLOSE AND INTIMATE ONE, IT IS THE MOST PRECIOUS RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN TWO PEOPLE NOW IN ORDER TO LEGALIZE YOUR MARRIAGE, WE WILL SIGN THIS DOCUMENTS (SIGNING OF DOCUMENTS) TO CONTINUE WITH THIS CEREMONY I WILL SAY SOME VOWS TAKEN FROM A LETTER (READING OF A POEM) FOR ALL THIS REASONS AND IN THE PRESENCE OF YOUR WITNESSES I ASK YOU (GROOM) DO YOU TAKE THIS WOMAN TO BE YOUR LAWFUL WEDED WIFE, TO LIVE TOGETHER, IN THE ORDINANCES AND THE STATE OF MATRIMONY, TO HONOR AND LOVE HER, TROUGH SICKNESS AND IN HEALTH, AND KEEP YOU ONLY INTO HER FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE? (BRIDE) DO YOU TAKE THIS MAN TO BE YOUR LAWFUL WEDED HUSBAND, TO LIVE TOGETHER, IN THE ORDINANCES AND THE STATE OF MATRIMONY, TO HONOR AND LOVE HIM, TROUGH SICKNESS AND IN HEALTH, AND KEEP YOU ONLY INTO HIM FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE? NOW IN THIS SIGNIFICANT MOMENT YOU WILL INTERCHANGE YOUR WEDING RINGS. PLEASE NOTE HE WONT SAY VOWS. YOU’RE ALLLOW TO SAY YOUR OWN (RINGS INTERCHANGE AND IF THEY WANT, VOWS OF THEIR OWN) (GROOM AND BRIDE) IF THERE IS ANYTHING YOU REMEMBER FROM THIS MARRIAGE CEREMONY IS THAT IT WAS LOVE THAT BROUGHT YOU HERE TODAY, IT IS LOVE WHICH CAN MAKE IT A GLORIOUS UNION, AN IT IS BY LOVE THAT YOUR MARRIAGE SHALL ENDURE. SO ON BEHALF OF THE LAW AN THE SOCIETY, AND WITH THE AUTHORITY GRANTED ME BY THE MUNICIPALITY OF BENITO JUAREZ, IN THIS BEAUTIFUL PARADISE OF CANCUN, I PRONOUNCE YOU HUSBAND AND WIFE. CONGRATULATIONS, AND YOU MAY KISS YOUR BRIDE I didn't like this and was told to bring a copy of my script to my first meeting if I wanted something else read.. so ladies, you can fight to have your own script read don't think you can't. What other questions have been brought up when speaking to your assigned WC? I want to make a list.. so far my one question is if I can have a wedding rehearsal the day before, I remember reading a review on MP that it was done before when requested.

Continental has some direct flights out of Newark now, but not every day. Yeah I have looked at Continental several times as well as Mexicana Air. I want to leave out of Newark since it's closer to me than the other airports. I hear a lot of the time Philly is a lot better anyway.. I may have to reconsider. I should've done this months ago!

    for the US girls, what airline are you using?
  7. Was anyone contacted exactly 90 days before your wedding took place? I'm just wondering, I have 5 days until I tell myself to expect anything. I don't want to be disappointed on the 5th day so I'm mentally preparing myself if it's not exactly on the 90day mark (lol).

I bought two bandeus (spelling?) last year to wear in order to eliminate tan lines.. I may just have to buy more for the wedding week. Thanks for heads up! Oh yeah, my BD shoot was fun! You guys were right, within 5 mins I was like, "OK, I can do this". I felt comfortable and I had a great time. I guess it helped that I had a friend do them for me, but still..we were both a nervous wreck when we started. Once we had our lil pep talk it was on..we had good chemistry together. I can't wait for the teasers!!

    Meghan- Sorry to hear about the crazy work load. Things always pick up after the holidays. I have been feeling the wrath and work too lol. I'm so happy your dress is coming soon, be sure to take pics! I bought a small bottle of rumplemintz to take shots of for my bd shoot lol. I figured liquor will do the trick... let's hope I don't take too many shots and go overboard hah. I will keep you guys posted!!

    Tracy- Family members are always a tricky situation. If I were in your shoes I'd talk to FI sister..or make him talk to her.. and let her in on your situation. It is def. not fair for all your other BMs to have paid for their dresses and their own way and have her slip through the cracks. $60 does go a long way, esp. in this recession. Michele- I'm so happy your MIL booked! Any other key players that need to book but haven't yet? I'm having my BD shoot tomorrow after work I can't wait. I bought all these things (well..not that much) and two cute new pair of shoes I can't wait to sport lol. I'm kind of nervous though, but that's normal right? Any suggestions to relax ladies?
  13. Thanks for the review. This answers a lot of my questions. I was wondering the same thing with timing of songs for the processional during the ceremony... I'm glad the harpist worked out for you. Love the TTD pics, I may just have mine there too!

I have it under the "review" forum with a link to it in my siggy. Does anyone know how to change a link's name so that it says for example "Moon Palace Review" instead of listing out the path? Also, the pictures were larger when I was editing them but when I saved the thread, they became thumbnail size. Any suggestions? Once again, I just want to thank everyone on this forum for contributing and making my dream wedding possible. I couldn't have done it without you! Enjoy! Woo hoo! I'm heading over to read it now! Not sure about the thumbnail sized pictures but with the link, when you write a post and add a link you'll see {URL="http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/f77/mrseddys-long-moon-palace-review-11-27-09-heavy-pics-53639/"}http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/f77/mrseddys-long-moon-palace-review-11-27-09-heavy-pics-53639/{/URL} in your post (just substitute the { with [ to make the link active). What you do is replace the url in the middle without the quotes with Moon Palace Review and voila.. it works Hope this helps, this is how it'll look: {URL="http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/f77/mrseddys-long-moon-palace-review-11-27-09-heavy-pics-53639/"}Moon Palace Review{/URL}
