wow that is outrageous. it baffles me that people today in these hard economic times have the nerve to be rude like that to paying customers. first off, how would any destination look cheap with the beautiful scenery. the majority of people out there are not models so i don't know what bizarro world that guy is living in. it's good you shared this story, because i would never spend my hard earned money on a jerk like that.

you still have a lot of time before you go away. just tell your guests that if they want to come and they don't book by a certain date (say 1-2 months before) there may not be any space available on the flights. i just went to a destination wedding in punta cana and they wanted everyone to book 10 months in advance. majority of the people did so they could get free trips for people. the thing is most people ended paying a lot more money for their trip. i don't think that is fair for the guests. i ended up booking a month before the trip because my FI was in the middle of applying for a new job. he ended up getting it and had to start 4 days before the trip and couldn't go. we didn't buy cancellation insurance luckily i have a friend at the travel company. anyways, i'm rambling...but just remind your guests to get cancellation insurance no matter when they book. between companies going out of business, H1N1 virus who knows what will come up.

i thought i wanted something light & flowy like chiffon, empire waist. all the dresses i really like on me are strapless & corset back, which is something i didn't think i would like at all. i still haven't bought my dress yet either, cuz i can't make up my mind!
