  1. I feel your pain ladies. My photographer turned out to be a huge disappointment too. If I could do anything over again, it would be pick a reputable photographer with nothing but great reviews. I originally tried to hire Photosouvenir, but they were having issues with Dreams PC at the time, and by the time those issues were resolved, they had already booked my date with another couple. Looking back now, I should have simply changed my date! There were other dates available that week and the following week -- I don't know what I was thinking! But I digress ... keep on him until you get what you want, and don't forget to post reviews on this site (and other wedding sites if you can) so that other couples are forewarned! Good luck
  2. Very pretty. I love the braided/twisted straps.
  3. Welcome Hannah! Be sure to take the time to read the two stickies at the top of this forum as the information included will help you navigate the site. As well, the "what I would and wouldn't do again" thread in the General Info forum should be mandatory reading too! I subscribed to it while I was planning and it made life so much easier. Good luck!
  4. What an original idea! I don't know if I could warm up to it, but if my husband had been presented with that option, he probably would have been all over it!
  5. Personally, I think the windy hair adds to the charm of a DW, after all everyone knows that islands are usually very windy and you would expect your hair not to be on its best behaviour! I think it looks sexy too, but that's just my opinion! The timeline is another story. Have you searched out feedback from any other couples who have used him/her to share experiences?
  6. Congratulations and good for you and hubby for not letting a little rain get you down!
  7. It sounds like there's something going on that she, so far, has refused to reveal. It could be she's jealous or resentful that you're having an exotic DW, or perhaps she's too embarrassed to tell you she can't afford to attend (especially with baby #2 on the way now). It would be good if you could spend some one-on-one time with her to try and get to the bottom of it. If it turns out she just doesn't care enough to be there for you, then definitely move on without her. It's a tough call to make, but you have to live your life, with or without her support and involvement.
  8. Welcome Becky! THe Canadian gals are going to be very happy to hear you've joined the forum!
  9. The hardest part is done now. Have fun!!
  10. OMG Nikki! I don't think I would have been able to keep a straight face through the whole affair!! Step-Grandma needs a lesson in reality, ha ha ha!
  11. Funny! We've talked about having a wedding dress party so many times, but not all of us can fit into our dresses anymore, argghhhh
  12. Beautiful! Print that out and read it whenever you hit a rough patch. Life and relationships aren't always easy and sometimes we forget why fell in love with that person. Something as simple as this will bring everything back into perspective. Thank you for posting that, it's something we can all appreciate at any stage of our relationship.
  13. Actually, I thought you could delete your posts if you did it fairly quickly after you first post it. But now I'm not sure as I went into the edit feature thinking that's where the delete option was, but, not there. Now I'm confused too!
  14. Very nice Jackie! I never thought about what or who held the rings if you didn't have a ring bearer. Now I know!
