Carly, you look SO AMAZING! What a pretty bride! I love your GM's shirts! I love the pic of you guys pouring the sand. It is so neat to see the girls in their dreses and all of the things you have worked so hard on come together. It looks beautiful! Can't wait to see more. BTW - you were rockin' that red and white dress! That is a great pic of you and hubby! You guys look so happy!

We had quite the assembly line. I stamped the palm tree, FI poured the embossing powder, and FMIL worked the heat gun. I bought one of those xylon adhesive machines, but didn't buy a backup cartridge so we only got about 32 invitations done before I ran out. I'll need to go an pick up some more to assemble the rest. I printed our return address on clear labels so those have been put on the RSVP envelopes and the back of the main invitation envelope. I still need to print out the address labels for the guests and get stamps for the RSVP cards. I'm hoping to finish them during this week so we can get them in the mail. I will be so happy once they are out and we can start getting some replies. They sound awesome - do you have any pics? I forgot to add, we did get 30 songs on our playlist for reception music - now I need about 30 more!

You look so good in it and that dress fits you like a glove! Looks like it was meant to be! YAY on finding a dress!

As far as clothes go, I have been stocking up. If I see something I get it because here in Denver, get it while you can because you usually won't see it again! They start pulling out winter clothes in July! I usually do all of the shopping for me and the kids, so if I see something I get it. I have been holding out on a new swimsuit for my daughter - she saw one at Macys with board shorts and fell in love, so I 'm waiting for a good sale. $100 for a swimsuit - NOT!! I have been on my FI and his groomsmen to go get their linen pants but so far they are dragging their feet. They are custom ordering their shirts and are dragging their feet on that one too. I will see them all again in 2 weeks - I'll get on their butts again when I see them all together. The only wedding thing I got done this weekend was I worked on tanning my upper arms! Ha ha - my tans and tan lines last for 6 months. I got my FI to get a base tan - but it turned into a major sunburn on his neck! Ouch - I was up all night with him putting aloe vera on every 2 hours. It didn't blister, but he is a big baby anyway. I have been teasing him that I am officially marrying a red neck! Yee Haw! Lol!

Yeah, they are just the regular silk. The one for my hair for the wedding was one that was more life like where it feels real and you can see the veins in the petals. It was like $5 but with a half off coupon ...ya know the rest!

Hi Girlie! Did you try FLOWER CLIP :: Hand Picked Silk Flower Hair Clips and other Floral Accessories ? I was going to make mine, but I can not find any of the alligator clips to glue the flowers on! I have tried Michaels and Jo Ann Crafts and Walmart and nothing! I am keeping my eyes open. It seemed more cheaper. I think the rose I wanted for my hair at Davids was almost $30! That was nuts! Let me know if you find anything. I just don't want to pay an arm and a leg. One of my FSIL's said we should make a bunch of different clips and just wear a different one every day ~ I thought that was a good idea, so now I'm looking for different flowers. Good luck!

Happy Birthday Stephanie! I hope your day turns out to be as beautiful as you are! Have a great one!

Yikes...I am SO sorry that happened! I say go with the tag/logo. You'll get the same effect and won't have to worry about the iron and bags melting.

This is so funny Abbie - I work with this guy his name is "Sly Player" - I'm serious - his first name is Sylvester - but everyone calls him Sly. Everytime he answers the phone I just roll my eyes!

More "mature" 1st time brides
Celina replied to July09's topic in General Wedding Planning Information
Yep - FI and I fall into the age your are referring to. Both of us are 36. I have found that our life decisions and circumstances make our situation backwards from the traditional relationship you see with younger couples. We have the 2 kids, house, - we are not "just starting out". I think that as far as the planning goes, I find that I still am a stickler on a lot of the things I want in the wedding - practical or not. I think I have spent the least amount of money from anyone on this forum in that the dresses and shoes for me, MOH, 2 BM's and Flower girl cost less than $200. On the other hand, I would be willing to spend $200 on a cake to feed 30 people and $650 for a mariachi band for 45 minutes!. Go figure! I guess it just boils down to the fact that everyone has different priorities and wants. DW's are perfect choices for those that want something different. Heck, my life was non-traditional anyway - the DW is just our way to have something different and enjoy time with our families in an awesome location! -

I just sold it last week at our yardsale for $20 ~ I had a hard time seeing some of our babystuff go - but no more babies for me!....Anyway - I can't say I have any "best" purchase. I love our refrigerator with the ice maker and filtered water - I don't think I could go back to ice trays. Someone mentioned her Prada boots - I would say my black D&G handbag. I usually switch out purses sometime in the year, and I have actually used this bag for an entire year! It is so big and slouchy and roomy - I love it! And the leather feels like BUTTAH!

I'm off work today! YAAY! But - I'm at home on our slower than slow computer - anyhow I'm going to go by one of my BM's house and take her her dress and she is very crafty and is a scrapbooker so I am going to take some of my stuff that I need tags for so she can help me get some ideas for the tags on the OOT bags, First Aid kits, favors, etc. I am so excited to hear her ideas. I am taking all of my decorative papers and crap to her house. Once we get it figured out, it will be one less thing on my plate. Sometime this summer (maybe the end of July) I plan on having a huge DIY project day where we are all coming together and are getting this stuff done! I'm just working on getting all the supplies ready for them. OH...I got my bags in from cheap totes and my ribbon came in too, and the blumeboxes. It all came within 5 days which was totally cool.

As if this week couldnt get any worse...
Celina replied to LadyCheese's topic in Just venting or funnies
Oh Jesicca, I am so sorry this is going on. As for computer stuff - let us know if there's something you need as far as templates, etc. We can pull together and get you what you need. As for MOH -be glad she backed out. The fact that 6 weeks went by without a phone call would have pissed me off too! She was an added stress, and now I'm sure you can bump one of your serious BM's up to that spot. For that TA - she obviously forgot who she was working for...YOU!!! WTF She is so rude! Personally, I would talk to her manager - but if FI says wait...then wait...just not too much longer! I hope you have a better weekend. Go get your nails done and get some fresh air and sunshine! (that always makes me feel better) ~Celina -
I'm down with Ann and Abbie!

Yeah - I called my TA and he is out to lunch. I just spoke with the other agent. They hadn't even heard about the $15 on AA. Did I mention almost ALL of my guests are flying AA? I have everyone bringing stuff in their checked bags! This totally blows. I'm waiting to see what he says when he calls me back.
