My new mantra is One day at a time...one thing at a time. I went to the doctor to tell her how frazzled I felt all the time, she said make a list and make your goal to be one thing to get done at a time. It can get overwhelming!

My title is "Executive Assistant to Division Chief" - I am an EA for the Fire Chief who oversees the Division of the fire department at denver International Airport. We have 4 firehouses, one training academy and over 100 firefighters. My duties vary from day to day but my job is interesting and I will probably never leave because I have it too good and could never work in an office with a bunch of women (Who needs a bunch of clawing co workers when I have my gal pals at BDW?) I make $48K a year.

Wow - how awful. I am glad that you are okay and no one else was hurt. It's only a car - it can be replaced. Thank goodness you are safe.

We are getting married in PV November 8th. My guests from Phoenix have already booked. Rates are rising! I say do it now!

We are doing both as well. We are doing our OOT bags with first aid kits, margarita packets, travel candles, mini sewing kits, pens, a welcome letter and a personalized cup. We are doing the same bag for guests staying at timeshares but we are taking out a personalized cup and are adding sodas, water and beer. For our favors, I am going to have our WC put palm tree boxes filled with custom M&M's on the plates for dinner - at our reception we are having a cigar roller and have custom matches to hand out with cigars at the cigar table.

Today my date twin (Lucy106 aka Stephanie) has a medical procedure and I want to send her some good thoughts that all goes well and let her know that she is in our thoughts today! XOXOXO ~Celina

I would say some comfy shoes, which I'm sure you already have with all of the swelling. I suggest your own bath stuff, a robe, a couple of pairs of comfy pajamas, a lot of undies, make up, stuff to make you look pretty because you'll have lots of guests and you want to look good in your photos. Did you get a pedicure? Strongly suggest getting one if you haven't already. If you have long hair some ponytail holders and/or headbands. Also take some magazines or something to read in case you are laying in bed for a while. Also, take some breath mints! Good luck and congratulations on being a mommy! You'll soon find out what all the excitement of being a mom really is AND you'll meet your one true love. There is nothing in the world that can compare the bond between a mother and her son. It is truly amazing!

I will check out our Michaels maybe this weekend. Yeah,the cups are smooth and shiny. Ironically last night I was going through the ever increasing bins of wedding stuff and came across these rhinestone body tattoos I got in the dollar bin at Target, they are really sticky and say Bride and have hearts and so I stuck them on a cup and it came out pretty cute! That's just for me though - I don't know about the rest of the guests! I'll keep an eye out for Morgan & Monicas pens. Thanks!

Wow - I don't feel so alone now! Thanks for bringing this one up because lately FI thinks his only job is to mow the lawn and cook red meat and pork! I do the rest of the lawn work (i.e. pulling weeds, planting flowers, etc). He is SO gross! He leaves his socks all balled up and I told him that I was no longer going to un-ball them. It is disgusting. He does help out with the house cleaning, but he skims over. My 4 day weekend this weekend is going to be spent deep cleaning the house. I try to be appreciative and say at least he makes an effort. I couldn't imagine doing it ALL Alone. OMG - one thing he does that irks the hell out of me, is he doesn't take care of his things. He got a very expensive BBQ grill two years ago (I'm talking stainless steel and granite counters) - it's an outdoor kitchen - and the inside of the grill is dirty and gross. Also, he likes to cook, but doesn't believe in putting any of the meat he thaws out in the refrigerator on top of something to eliminate drippage. I cleaned out the refrigerator last night and got SO sick to my stomach because it was so nasty. That's probably why I can't stomach eating meat lately. Phew....that felt good to let out!

We just went through the same thing here where a student from a local college went to PV with his parents. while his mom was taking out a large sum of money from an ATM, some guys robbed her. Her son intervened and he ended up getting killed. The cops came, took the guy to jail and while he was in jail, exchanged clothes with another inmate and got out scott free. Eveyone here was scared about going to PV thinking there were gangs and thugs. We told them that in general you can't go around flashing large sums of money. Especially in a foreign country - (sorry for sounding so blunt), but you are asking to get robbed! People should be consciencous anyway. It is unfortunate that people get murdered and hurt, but it happens everywhere, not just where we live, but all over the world. They'll be fine. Good luck!

Lunchables - how funny is that! I love nachos! Esp the ones at Q-doba! How fun is it to have people you actually like to eat lunch with! The novelty of eating lunch with the guys here has totally worn off! All they eat is red meat - maybe they should make some nachos or chilli dogs! I'm on the same page as you Rach - I bought some Marg mix over the weekend - I am so ready!

Mmmmmmooooorrrrrrgggggaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnn!!! Help! Okay - so I go to walmart and buy some 4 for 97cent hot pink cups. I go over to the aisle where the crafts are and buy an Elmers brand paint pen. It says it works on plastic so I go for it. I already got my rub ons at Michaels with cute beach sayings. I go home with my stuff all ready to be your little DIY protogee. After I sit down to do the cups, the paint writes and I am totally pumped ! I'm thinking, the girls are going to love these! Then, I pick up the cups that I've written on and I noticed that the paint scratches off and rubs off very easy. I am SO bummed! Do you have a pic of the pen you used or the exact brand? I think the rub ons did okay - but the paint was a zero!
