    Bride to Be

to the forum! Negril is beautiful... where are you getting married?
  4. I think around 4 months out I got totally overwhelmed and took a month off. I was on here, talking about what I needed to do, but didn't really do anything - lol. I had bought materials for DIY's, but didn't put them together. I knew what I wanted to buy for OOT, but didn't order it. Eventually, I got my butt back in gear and got it all done. Definitely try to focus on 1 thing at a time, and then move on to the next. You'll get it all done!
  5. DH pre-ordered one, so we bought it, but he won't let me open it because he's hoping to sell it on Ebay! Argh!! I want to open it!!! Its sitting on our floor next to the TV so I have to look at it but can't play it! I think I'm going to work on him tonight after you ladies give it an A++! Maybe I'll finally get somewhere and get to play
  6. So damn true! When we were planning on doing an AHR, we didn't tell the vendors it was for a wedding until after we got prices... why do people think they can jack the prices because its for a friggen wedding??
  7. We didn't have a bridal party, and it worked out well for us. We toyed with a MOH and BM for a while, but the people we were going to ask didn't actually make it to our wedding, so I think it worked out well. We would've had a lot of anger and resentment towards them if we had actually asked, to be honest. I didn't feel like something was missing on my day, and my girlfriends helped me get ready, along with my mom. I think not having a bridal party saved us a LOT of stress and probably some money.
  8. Gorgeous dress! And congrats on getting it! If you think you can lose the weight in time, it might be worth just leaving it... but I think I would probably try to find an alterations person. It just sucks to have to lose weight, and the last thing you should have to stress about! Did they recommend someone? It may cost you more to get it done quickly, but I'm sure if you found someone this weekend, they could have it done in time! Good luck!
  9. That's a tough one... I understand your thinking she shouldn't invite herself, but she's his mom. My mother has an open invitation in my house, same with my DH's family. I don't love my in-laws, but they are part of my life. They actually annoy the hell out of me, but so be it. I think you really need to stop fighting with your husband and pick a weekend that works better for you. I totally agree that you should just find places to be that weekend, to the point where you don't have to deal with her for 72 hours straight, but she doesn't feel like you are avoiding her. Good luck!
  10. That sounds yummy! I'm going to have to try them Thanks!

Was the purchase for more than your balance in your account? It must have been, because it takes the paypal balance first, and then completes the purchase with your other funding.
  12. When my girl was a puppy she ate a whole bag of hershey kisses... she had the runs, but was also pooping silver foil for days! Be glad you can diaper your baby... chocolate poop is nasty!
  13. Any money in your account can be used for another purchase. If you don't plan on making any purchases soon, and want the money back in your bank account, you need to withdraw the money. I think it takes 5-7 days for it to go back into your bank. Hope that helps!
  14. Everything looks fantastic! I can't believe your day is almost here Its going to be beautiful!
  15. to the forum! I agree with what everybody has said... think about what you want in a location, set a tentative budget, and start emailing hotels. That should help you get an idea of what is available, how much stuff costs, and help to narrow down your location. Take your time and try to enjoy it It will all fall into place!
  16. We stayed at the Caves for a few nights during our honeymoon... its AI, beautiful, very romantic, extremely peaceful but it is a bit secluded (for us, that was a good thing). That being said, you can definitely leave the resort and easily find some action. The Rockhouse is definitely bigger, and its bar/restaurant is open to the public and gets a bit of a crowd, but not AI. If you are looking for something with a club, etc, the Negril cliffs just may not be your thing. We also stayed at Sunset at the Palms, which was beautiful, few kids, AI, but the bed was actually REALLY hard - to the point of being uncomfortable. I don't know if that was just our room, but I thought I'd put it out there. They do have crazy bathrooms with 2-person multijet showers, which was pretty cool The food at the beach and buffet were good, the restaurant wasn't. The staff was friendly, fun, and very helpful. We also stayed at Jakes in Treasure Beach, and got married at Coral Cove in Little Bay. They are both quiet, secluded locales. If you want more info on them, let me know.
  17. They look great! Our guests raved about our MIB invites... I'm sure your guests will too! They look very professional, and the charms are a great addition!
  18. OMG Mo!!!! That is such fantastic news! I love the t-shirts to make the announcement! Very fun!
  19. So glad to hear things went well Heidi! Those Lowe's trips will keep on coming, but they do settle down a bit. I'm so happy for you and Reggie that you are finally settling in! Enjoy!
  20. I wore two of the orchids... here's a pic from my hair trial of the orchids and gardenia.
