  1. I think the "politically correct" thing to do would be to either just ask your sister or ask all 4. My FSIL didn't invite me to be in her wedding and I did feel a little hurt. It's your wedding though so in the end do what makes you feel good

I don't know if I am willing to give up on all of my irishness. LOL I was thinking about taking my last name as a second middle, but I'm not sure how confusing that may be when asked or to fill out forms. I'm really proud of my middle and last names too. My middle name, Lynne, is my deceased mother's name. And my last name, Miller, I associate so much with my Dad's side of the family whom I adore. I had always planned on changing my last name but FI's last name is Lopez and my name is spelled J-A-I-M-E like "Hi-me". Living here in TX that would just be incredibly frustrating... Plus I'm white with freckles hahaha Even funnier is I speak Spanish and he doesn't. What would I go by socially though? I use my first and last name for business quite a bit and I think it would be quite a mouthful to constantly say "Hi, I'm Jaime Miller-Lopez" (I work at an art gallery and on big show nights I could introduce myself this way 200 times). Plus I work representing my father's art which is another reason I'd like to keep my maiden name in there.

  5. Welcome! Thanks so much for sharing the pics - I love looking at LC photos!

I'm with Sarah (Mod) - are you sure that's you that we're looking at?? LOL You are SMOKIN' HOTTT!!! I think you may need a little sense slapped into ya... hahahaha

It is only 110 calories pers drink and you will have a good buzz after a couple. Another good idea is Absolut Mandarian & Soda water. OMG...tastes like an orange soda, but with a kick WEIRD - I just started this on Friday night. Absolute Peach (or Mandarin) + Soda Water + Splash of O.J. It's my new drink out Absolute flavored vodkas are the only ones I've come across that still have 40% alcohol instead of 35%. They have so many yummy flavors too! And yes, BEWARE of those 500+ calorie margaritas! I allow myself to drink them every now and then but have definitely come a long way from 1-2 a week!

All through high school I was a size 16 or 18. In April 2003, I was 218 pounds and a size 18 moving to a size 20. At that time I broke up with my ex, lived on my own for the 1st time, and filled my time going to the gym By the time I met Jay in Oct. 2004, I was down to 167 and had lost 51 pounds. We started dating and ate out a lot!!! By Jan 2006, I was up to 178. I then joined Weight Watchers. On my wedding day, I weighed 158 and was wearing a size 10 to a size 8 and was 3 pounds away from making goal. I weighed in yesterday at 169. My leader had an intervention of sorts with me. Basicaly she was trying to get me to be positive and focus on my strengths. With me I think my biggest struggle is my thinking. For some reason, I get afraid of success and give up and lose my motivation. I'm just so tired of fighting and struggling with my weight. But I just have to focus on how I feel when I'm in shape and treat myself the way I deserve to be treated. Thanks for letting me vent girls. It's nice to know I'm not alone. BTW, Weight Watchers is awesome. The meetings really target mental blocks and help you problem solve. Lots of support too. I totally recommend it! Aww Karen that is a great story, thanks for sharing!
  11. OMG this thread is cracking me up - in a good way! MOOOOOOoooove on over ladies, I'm joining the club~! Weighing in at 5'5 160 I do have a lot of muscle but I could definitely stand to lose about 15 pounds. When I started dating Martin all we did was go out to eat (Mexican food) and drink margaritas. I gained almost 30 lbs w/in 1.5 years. I've lost about 10 of those so far (cut waaaay back on the margaritas!). I really need to get my butt to the gym. It is pathetic - we have a $50/mo. gym membership right around the corner that is literally open ALL hours and I've only been 3 times in the past 2 months! Way to go to everyone who's losing weight!!

It actually happened right near our home, near or on Houston Street. All the streets around us are blocked off. Still waiting to hear who the officer killed was. We have an amazing officer who works with us at our gallery during big events. He does motorcycle traffic work like this. I am praying it was not him. My thoughts go out to the family of this officer.
  14. The Royal in Playa del Carmen is definitely on my list of favorite hotels. Great romantic get away spot. AMAZING rooms and you literally walk out the front door and you're in downtown PDC. It is AI and I believe you get to use the facilities next door at their sister hotel. The Japanese restaurant at The Royal is fantastic! You can easily eat very yummy $100 meals on this AI plan. *Edit* only thing is it might be too expensive but definitely worth the extra splurge!
  15. Glad it went well!!! CONGRATULATIONS MRS. BECKERMANN!
  16. Great review Edna! I'm so happy that you got to see the Mayan all lit up at night - I can only imagine how beautiful it was!

I like it too, especially the ER by itself but paired with the WB it's just a little too blingy and I don't like it with a solid white gold band. The baguettes are a bit of a pain too - difficult to clean. Overall though it is really pretty... and sparkly!
  18. Good tips everyone - thanks! Quote: Originally Posted by jujigirl JaimeLynne - Have you guys been to Robbins Bros? I know there is one in Dallas...they have SO MANY SETTINGS. I ended up finding my dream ring there (actually FI found it while I was wandering around, completely overwhelmed). If you choose to buy there they will find diamonds within your price range with varying elements and let you pick your favorite. We looked at rings at the Houston location but FI bought the diamond at the Dallas location, overall our experience there was wonderful. Hi juji! Yes, we are definitely going to Robbins Bros! We were thinking of checking them as well as the Diamond Doctor out - do you happen to know anything about them? That huge Robbins Bros store looks like SO much fun - I can't wait to check it out!
