OK AHHHHH I've been dying to read this thread but we were 2 episodes behind with our DVR. OMG SO sad about the death I haven't cried about anyone else dying except this person. So is this the 6th member of Oceanic 6? Does this person die in the "real" world or on the island? Good call on the "you look just like her" comment to Juliette. I'm so glad to be caught up so that I don't have to stay away from this thread

I have been to several resorts in Mexico and this one is by far my favorite for many of the same reasons Rhonda listed - AMAZING rooms, good beach, amazing location, etc. I've been twice so far and definitely plan to go back! In fact this is what got me and my FI thinking about a DW. Unfortunately we want kids to come so it was out due to that. Good luck!

Happy Birthday Jessica (JessicalovesBrian)

Happy Birthday Jessica!!! -
Awwww Martha! I'm so happy for you - it sounds like you really deserve this!!! I wish you nothing but the BEST for you, Jay and the baby!!!! How exciting

If you're worried about the bridesmaids getting upset I would have the grandmothers go first, then the aunts, then the mothers, then the bridesmaids and finally you. If you can get a resort spa stylist or two as well I would have them do the grandmothers and aunts and Mom, and have the "pros" do FMIL (since she's paying), bridesmaids and you. That way your bridesmaids and you will have the same caliber of work done. Good luck!!! I'm interested to hear how everything holds up in the May weather since I'm getting married 1 day before you next year

As for me I'll be attending FBIL's wedding.

Where are you registered?

We haven't registered yet but will probably be doing something like this - with an option for guests to contribute to our honeymoon or purchase an actual item at one or two stores. -
Mine is so not a big deal but here it is (kind of comical, actually ) I am jacked up on caffeine!!!!!! AHHHH! I drank 2 cups of green tea today (very sensitive to caffeine). I've been starting to drink 1/day for health but today I had an extra one to "help me study" for a midterm tomorrow. Instead what am I doing?? Sitting here doing anything and everything except study, of course! I feel so bugged out. Probably the equivalent of drinking a red bull to someone else. Doh!

She is so talented and absolutely worth every penny and even more than she charges!!! You have to think that the only thing you have to look back on and the only thing you have to share with others is those photographs. You have your memories, but you can't show those to others and the day itself goes by so fast that you can't remember half of it! The photographs, in my opinion, are more important than the dress, the resort, the makeup, the hair, the jewerly, the food or anything else. Elizabeth Medina does the most artistic, gorgeous work I have ever seen and is absolutely immensely talented. If you are wavering at all on a decision, DON'T!! One word for her work (which everyone has said when seeing my photos): "WOW!" Becky - I LOVE your necklace and your dress!!!! Not to mention you got married at my favorite hotel in PDC! BEAUTIFUL pics

There are others out there in the same frame of mind as I am. I live in NYC, so to say the least I am the only one of my friends getting married.... Try doing a search (upper right hand corner of screen) for EM Vallarta. I remember just reading a post on them and from what I recall they didn't get very good feedback...

Puerto Vallarta Botanical Gardens - A New Destination Wedding Vendor
JaimeLynne replied to Cody's topic in Newbies!!
Looks beautiful!! -
Welcome! I'm also a May '09 PV Bride. I'd suggest checking out Las Caletas while you're there. We had originally planned on getting married at The Mayan Palace but changed our minds once we went to Las Caletas. It is absolutely beautiful! If for nothing else, it's a great site-seeing trip! Anyway, again welcome and best of luck with the planning!

UPDATE: must have been deleted...sorry! Yup, I started a post about this awhile back. I've suffered off and on my entire life with RLS. I can think back to childhood when I had those itchy, creepy feelings in my legs. I couldn't sleep and couldn't sit through movies at the movie theater. People told me it was growing pains. Little did I (or they) know it was actually something called Restless Leg Syndrome. I tried taking Requip but had side effects that I couldn't handle (very dizzy, nauseous, etc.). You might try yoga and see if this helps. It really depends on how severe your symptoms are. For me warm baths and mild exercise did not work. I finally got to a breaking point one day at school and broke down sobbing in the school doc's office. I had no idea at the time what was going on with me - only that I couldn't sleep, couldn't sit still in class or while driving. It was taking over my life. Try Restless Legs Syndrome Foundation. They have excellent resources and both homeopathic and drug related treatment options on there as well as links to support groups. Every once in awhile this will start to creep up on me again. I really notice a correlation with stress. I wish you the best and I definitely understand. I know it's so hard trying to explain what you're feeling to people. Good luck!!!! P.S. I tried the soap thing and it never worked for me. Probably works more for mild to moderate symptoms... -

Its kinda like a latin dance/hip-hop dance aerobics class. I just wear normal gym clothes. Usually they have new songs every few weeks so you don't have to worry about when you start or stop. It'll take you a class or two to get the basics down, so just start in the back until you feel comfortable. AWESOME! Thanks for the info! Quote: Originally Posted by Nrvsbride It sounds like fun! I wrote her today saying I wanted to order the DVDs first but she said she already has all of them and to come over to her house to try them out!! I am so pumped - I get to screw up first in her home with alcohol and then "officially" try them out in a real gym Then she wants to go to a Latin club and shake our booties - WOOHOO! I love dancing!

Has anyone tried this? Looks like so much fun! Zumba Fitness I met a girl out at a bar the other weekend who is way into this and today she actually followed up with me! It looks like a BLAST but I want to know honestly is it hard to get into? If I go into a class just starting out am I going to be way behind? Also, what do you wear to these classes?? Apparently it's GREAT for weight loss - on the site they "claim" that you will drop 1 pant/dress size in 10 days or your money back. That would mean needing a new wardrobe soon but hey, that's a problem I'd like to have!
