  1. Oh and for reference here's my current ring (except I have round stones instead of Princess) and the current WB... The band I was looking at today had small princess cut diamonds that matched up (in positioning) with my ER.

Good luck and have fun with this! Thanks for the advice! I know one thing - I won't be going back to Zales. Quote: Originally Posted by tvt those are both really beautiful! Ugh yes on the WB thing - when we saw a new one today and thought of getting it instead of the current one this would've been #3 *purchased*. The lady at the store was kind of looking at me like "Oh, come on lady...."

We ended up buying a new set and had the diamond put into the new ring. For my birthday he's going to put an aquamarine stone into the original ring. (At least that's what I asked for) Thanks for sharing - I don't feel so bad now And that aquamarine stone sounds pretty and unique - love that!
  5. Oh wow, what a day it has been. We stopped by the mall to do a little shopping and while we were there I suggested we stop into Zales to take my ring to be checked/cleaned. While we were there I looked at some wedding bands. I swear, I'm going through WBs like some of y'all have gone through dresses LOL Anyways, I'm having a hard time finding something that fits and Martin brought up the idea of just starting all over. At first I felt HORRIBLE about this (he's just now about to have this WB paid off) but he is genuinely intent on me being completely happy and honestly I just don't think the ring I have right now is quite what I want forever. Soooooo.... I get to start looking at new rings!!! Martin says if we do decide to go through with this he's going to "re-propose" to me. Hahaha. Our original one got kind of rained on due to his entire family finding out and yada-yada you know how that goes... kinda lost the "special-ness". Don't get me wrong, I really like the ring I currently have but it was the very first one either of us saw and he got so excited that he bought it on the spot - kinda cute but we never really got to shop around. I've been looking on Blue Nile today and the possibilities seem endless. I may even go with a solitaire - not sure yet. AHHHHHH I can't believe I am getting the chance to pick out my own ring!!! This is like going on a second site visit but way better! haha P.S. If we do decide to do this then I will put both of my rings (Engagement and Wedding Band) up for sale on here as well as CL, Ebay, etc.
  6. I am a Sales Manager at an art gallery here in Dallas - www.ReflectionFineArt.com It's a lot of fun - I've been selling art at various art galleries since I was 17. After 7+ years it feels like I'm just now really getting into the swing of things (hence the recent promotion to Sales Manager! YEAH!). Also I've been really lucky to work with some AMAZING artists (there are some really crazy/stuck up ones out there...lol). We recently had a show for Henri Matisse's grandson Pierre. He was so funny. At 80-something still very handsome. He spoke in a French accent and loved to curse. LOL We went out to dinner with him one night and he told us all these surreal stories about growing up with people like Picasso. Very interesting man. He's also a talented artist himself. Looks like I've gone on a bit of a rant here but yeah, I love what I do!
  7. Good for you for picking the place YOU want. Welcome to the forum - let the fun begin!
  8. It is gorgeous. I have one similar and I wear it often. I'm glad you've decided to keep it and wear it on your wedding day.
  9. We are doing ours over Memorial Day weekend. I chose a weekend like this specifically so that people would have to take off less time from school/work. I figured we'd have better attendance this way.
  10. These pics are amazing! I just love your orange flowers against the blue of the ocean - WOW.

  12. I'm also a Las Caletas bride! If you haven't already, do a "Search" (top of the page towards the right) for "Las Caletas" and you'll find a TON of info!
  13. Wow those are beautiful - LOVE the colors towards the end! I think my favs are #32, 33, 35 and 40.
  14. Heidi - that sounds like a blast! I'm so glad it went so well. Can't WAIT to see those pics!!! hahahah
  15. Ooooh Yari that was a great article, thanks! Maybe Michael is Ben's contact on the boat... I'm thinking Kate's "him" ("He'll be wondering where I am..." from the finale last season) is Sawyer. #5 of the Oceanic 6. Hmmmmm...

  17. HAHAHAHA Rachel that looks like so much fun!!! I've already got my Britney outfit from Halloween and Martin's got his KFed - maybe we could switch ours up like that. Great idea! Did you come up with this on your own? This is going to be hilarious in PV - you have to go to the sky bar. We ended up there on our last night. You ride an elevator up and walk out onto sound but it's still swanky. I've got pics somewhere...

  19. GAH! We DVR the episodes and the past 2 it has cut off. I don't know how much but yeah. We totally didn't know Sayid was working for Ben. Is that his Boss that had him kill the guy on the golf course?? I can't get ABC.com to work so I can't watch the full episode - what happened??
  20. Here's ours from our engagement session - I call it "Into the Ring" Happy Valentine's Day everyone!
