    New Girl!

Another Jaime! You're the first to spell your name exactly the same as me though. It might get confusing around here soon. lol Welcome!
  4. I love your dress exactly how it is now! I wouldn't change a thing - you look amazing in it!!!

Ditto! My sister does the SAME freaking thing - she just acts like nothing has happened and then tries to play the martyr. I guess that is how they make everything seem "ok" in their minds... Celina, I hope things go well with your Dad and his wife tomorrow and that they are understanding of your side/point of view.
  8. Celina, I just read all of this. First off, I am very sorry you are going through all this unfortunate BS. I have a similar situation with my older sister. We also both grew up dealing with very chaotic childhoods. Our Mom was abused in every way possible by her Grandparents and parents. My sister refuses to believe this and is still close with that side of the family. I have cut all ties with them. My sister just thinks my mom was "crazy". Well, awhile back we got into a horrible fight over the phone and all these crazy accusations came out of her against me. I have NO idea where it came from. I've been in counseling since I was 5 and used every bit of knowledge I had learned through that to try and reason with her but there was no reasoning to it. By the end of the conversation I had a panic attack and was dry heaving and couldn't talk - it was horrible. My FI picked up the phone and my sister told him "does she do this often...?" and heavily insinuated that I am crazy (just like my mom). My FI could not believe what she was saying to him. We have not spoken in almost a year since that phone call. I very much so fear that if I were to continue in a relationship with her that she could turn on me as severely as your sister has. She has never seeked counseling for what she went through as a child, which was more than any child should ever have to go through. My family is now at odds. My Grandma says I should smooth things over with her because she is my sister. However, in my heart as sad as it is I think I should cut ties with her. I always thought she would be at my wedding but now I don't know. Of course there is a lot more to this story but I will leave it at that. I just wanted you to know that you are not the only one out there dealing with this. I really hope you are able to cut ties with your sister, as painful as it may be... You sound like you are on the right track and I admire the way you are handling the situation.

Totally flipped out when we realized they had them in stock!!! The problem is that they are actually having difficulty manufacturing the systems. I forget exactly what the deal is but our neighbor works for them and explained that's why stores on only get 8 or so in a shipment. If you live in a big city, they can be really hard to find! I had been looking for one since November - 5 months and finally found one! YIPPEE!!!! Or should I say Wiiiiiii!!! It was funny, we actually saw one at Walmart in Mexico when we were there doing our site visit in December but it was really expensive so we had to pass on it. Anyways, back to games. We also only have the Sports Pack right now, although we do have Guitar Hero for Playstation. The Carnival Game sounds like fun - I love Skee Ball! Our neighbors have about 10 different games. We're supposed to go over and play Mario Smash sometime soon - it sounds like fun.
  14. She must be busy "celebrating" CONGRATS COURTNEYYYYY!!!!!!
  15. I've always heard a year out as well. Thank goodness we are almost at a year - people are already looking to book/set deposits!

LMAO it's so funny because I started this long thread awhile ago about what we should name him, and Conor was one of the names in the running but we ended up naming him "Westin". Anyways, flash forward a few months and he's totally not responding AT ALL to Westin so we decide to go back to Conor. In Irish Conor means "Lover of Hounds"... his doggie brother is a Dachshund (in the hound family). We totally cracked ourselves up with this one
  17. Thanks everyone for the well wishes! Conor should be sleeping soundly at the vet's right now... no updates but I assume no news is good news!
  18. He's right at the 6 month mark so he got shuffled off to the vet bright and early this morning. The vet does all the "fixes" between 12-3pm so he could be in surgery right now. Poor little guy. I miss him! He'll stay overnight so they can watch him and then we get to pick him up tomorrow. Sending out happy healthy little puppy wishes for you, Conor...
  19. How amazing! I think there may be a couple other overseas weddings but mostly tropical destinations and a handful in the States as well. Welcome to the forum
  20. That is cute. FI works with my Dad (we both do) so they see each other often and get along well. Glad they do
  21. My Grandparents are really worried about this. I'm going to try and make everyone who is concerned take Non-Drowsy Dramamine and just pray it works out in the end. Also, Ann is right - there is a lot of discussion on this in the main LC thread so you should check there for more info.
  22. Everyone here celebrates today (Saturday) so this is what we did: -Went to a wedding @ 11am (Martin's older bro) -Went to a friend's party around 3 ish. Still in our formal attire of course, which caused a bit of a scene. Everyone was tr-aaaaa-aaa-shed by the time we got there (they had already done the parade on Greenville). We were supposed to go to a family dinner afterwards but ended up staying there and having a great time instead. Yummy green jello shots... -Just got home, gonna play some Wii and then watch a movie
  23. We're thinking of doing the same as Jamy - wedding in PV, honeymoon in Jamaica. Ya mon!
