Happy VDay! I hope all of you have an amazing day - Love all you ladies!

My FSIL asked me to do some research for her on Tierras del Sol in Tulum. I just looked it up on Trip Advisor and it ranks #6/56 hotels in Tulum and apparently only has 8 rooms! They are really going for the secluded feel so I think this sounds great for their situation. Since there wasn't a thread started on this small "hotel" I thought I would start one. It sounds like a great honeymoon spot if you just really want to get away from things. I will let y'all know what they say about it when they return and see if they have any pics to add. If you've ever been there please post your thoughts!

You know your addicted to BDW when...

Great thread! -Something bad happens to you/you receive bad news and the first thing that comes to your mind is sharing it on BDW. -Your reading this thread sparks starting a thread about a local BDW meetup. -
It's what they don't say that irks me....

I'm sorry I kind of feel the same way in that my family does not seem very excited about my wedding. It makes me really sad. FI's family asks about it all the time but my Grandparents who I am sooo close to rarely do. It's just a sticky situation but try and keep your head up and focused on the people who are joining you in your celebration (like those ppl you met on your trip - how cool is that?!). -
Any1 know about or travel with ADDISONS DISEASE

I got sick everytime I thought about planning a traditional wedding. So I finally decided to go with the DW. I knew my dad wouldn't want to hold me back from something that meant so much to me. So I broke the news to him gently and he was THRILLED! He can't wait to go! he has lost 100 pounds in the 8 months I've been engaged. We got him travel insurance through access america. It would cover emergeny medical issues. I also learned about getting him 2 seats for the flight & a wheelchair to transport him around the airport. He still has 4 more months to lose weight. If he keeps up his progress he should be in good shape for traveling. I am so glad I didn't cancel the DW I've always wanted. That's such a great story!!! -

i don't have any responsible friends!!!
JaimeLynne replied to PrecisePlans's topic in Just venting or funnies
Ugh, that sounds so frustrating!!!! I am so worried that my "friends" are going to act like that too.... No one else is married. I had a mini-breakdown at first and a couple friends came to my rescue. But since then they've either slipped away or just gotten busy with "life". It's hard because I don't have a Mom (she died when I was 17) and my best friend is 30 and has been having relationship issues for the past 3-4 years (jealousy issues!). It definitely feels lonely. Anyways, I'm really hoping that my friends come through for me when it's time...AND I HOPE YOURS DO THE SAME FOR YOU!!! Sheesh girls, it's a wedding - don't we all love this kinda stuff?!? -
Undecided newbie! But loving Las Caletas in Puerto Vallarta!

Hi and Welcome!! I also started out looking in the RM, but switched to PV because of the GORGEOUS scenery - mountains, palm trees, ocean, etc. The jungle filled mountains are my absolute favorite part of PV. You will love it there. We recently went on a site visit to PV not expecting to decide on LC at all. However, after a day there with the Wedding Coordinator we were pretty much sold. It is truly spectacular and unique. Again, welcome to the forum and happy planning! -

I don't think that's creepy at all! Very sweet

I feel that both are excellent candidates, and am very torn between the two. For this reason I do not want to vote in the Primaries. However, you can be sure that I will be there on Election Day!!!!! P.S. I'm VERY surprised that so many Republicans are willing to go for Obama. If that's truly the case then I say go Obama!

I was really sick for about 4 semesters in a row and kept thinking I could do it. I was feeling terrible, my grades weren't that great - normally A or B down to C. I get really depressed which made it all even worse. I ended up failing that 5th semester and having to sit out. After all of the turmoil, I stayed out of school. I only have 5 classes left to get my BA and will return the semester after the wedding, but only part time. If I had it to do over again, I would have just sat out one more semester or not tried to go full steam ahead when my body wouldn't let me. Know that someone else knows what you're going through and I'll send happy thoughts and wishes for a speedy recovery! One one my semesters was when I took Women's Health Issues. How weird?!? And my instructor was the one who wrote the book. Talk about being screwed on the test... It is definitely nice to know someone out there knows first hand what I'm going through so thanks! Like I said before, taking off from school last semester got me really depressed so I'm going to try my best to complete these 3 classes. I can do it!!! I'm soooo lucky, I have really supportive and caring teachers this year. I'm taking Women's Health Issues, French 101 and Intro to Interdisciplinary Studies (requirement for my major). French is SOOOO much more difficult than I thought - I used to be a Senior Spanish major but it was way too stressful so with only 3 classes to go I switched to Interdisciplinary Studies (INTS). I thought French would be a challenge but that I would have somewhat of an edge having learned another foreign language. WRONG. LOL. The teacher goes soooo fast but she is really really sweet - always willing to work with you, give you extra credit, etc. Can't complain there! My INTS class is very different for me but the teacher is so understanding of my medical issues thus far - she's already let me make up 2 quizzes. As for Women's Health - I'm studying for the test right now and I hate to say it but it looks E-A-S-Y. Multiple choice with questions like "What is bulimia?" "What is sexism?", "What does an acupuncturist do?" "What are some concerns with herbs to cure illness/disease?". With all the medical research I've been doing it's helped a LOT. I can't believe this is an Upper Level class. I really, really feel thankful for this hand that's been dealt this semester. Yes, I had to drop American Lit. but I can make that up later with a better teacher. *Keeping my fingers crossed* for a great semester ahead!!!!

(btw he has a complaint in to the dean!) Maybe you discussed this elsewhere, but have you considered acupuncture/pressure? Massages will help too, you deserve some relief! What?? That is so rude of his teacher! Especially since he let him know in advance. You know, in the same Wellness Center that I was talking about w/Lymphatic draining there is also an Acupuncturist. I was actually about to search/start a thread about this. Have you done it? How did it work out for you? I don't have a ton of money to throw around but I would like to invest some in something like this. For right now the Lymphatic detox seems to hit the nail on the head, but after that I may seek out Acupuncture therapy... Have a great time Edna! (I know you will!) Oh, and will you be seeing Priscilla while you're there? If you think about it would you mind letting her know that I received her email and emailed her back but have not received a response. I don't know why she doesn't seem to be getting my emails... I just want to know prices of a WD @ Terra Noble. Again, HAVE A GREAT MINI-TRIP!!!!!!

Last night we had a break in at our Townhome complex. Someone hopped the fence or somehow got through the gates and broke into a truck. The owners had left their garage door opener inside their truck (which was parked in a guest parking spot), and the robbers proceeded to enter their house through the garage while they were sleeping. They found all 3 sets of keys and needless to say this morning our neighbors woke up to 3 missing cars. Since they were asleep on the 3rd floor they heard nothing.Luckily they were not hurt and it doesn't look like anything else was stolen. Just a warning. I know I received an email about this a few months back from my Grandma and ignored it thinking it was just needless worrying but the sad fact is things like this happen. Martin's parents were also broken into last week. They kicked in their bedroom door in broad daylight and took everything valuable in site. It's a good reminder to always keep on the lookout - lock doors that lead from the garage into the house, take your garage openers out of your cars and set your alarm system if you have one. Stay safe BDW!
