  1. I know your villa wedding will be very lovely and very special! Don't forget to enjoy it along with your guests!
  2. That is terrific! I love the pictures too. I wish I could get our Minnesota girls to get together. I think it would really be nice to meet one-another. Glad to hear you all had a good time!
  3. Ah, thanks you guys! My birthday was pretty low key. My best firiend's son was married that evening so we went to that. It was so nice, they asked for everyones attention and announced that "someone very special to our family is having a birthday tonight" and then everyone sang to me. I was flabergasted! Tomorrow we are having a family birthday dinner. Thank you all for your sweet remarks.
  4. OK Drea, Moms in! I will PM you right away. My list is: Something pretty for Maggie's wedding, a remembrance of all of you beautiful ladies A Christmas ornament Whatever SS chooses
  5. Heidi, what else can any of us say? The "woman" is using up the air we breathe. What a waste! Honey, if you and Regie can swing it, tell her and the horse she rode in on, to go screw themselves! Compassion is a gift we were given by God. OK, she missed the boat, therefore, she has to answer to someone other than us at another time. She is bad, mean and evil. Do what you have to do, but do not waste any more of your prescious energy on her or the company that she represents. You need to concentrate on Heidi, your, heart and your soul, and yes your womb. Her ugliness and darkness is interferring with your healing. If you can, please walk away and demand every cent that is owed to you! Then, concentrate on what it means to you to be a family with Reggie. You will find the answer, I know you will. All of your BDW sisters and mothers love you. Lizzy
  6. Sol, yoour excitement is contagious! You will have a wonderful celebration in December! I love hearing how each detail of your wedding unfolds. Congratulations from Maggie and from me, Lizzy
  7. Since Maggie has asked her guests and her maids to wear variations of white, I bought a long (middle of calf) cream colored, chiffonish skirt by Lauren, that has layered vertical ruffles. Sounds weird, but very lovely. It has a cami and a shear long sleeved jacket/blouse to wear over the cami. I will try to post a pic tomorrow.
  8. The rehersal dinner is done the nite or a couple of nites b4 the wedding. With a destination wedding, most of the girls call it a welcome dinner and invite all of their guests who have travelled to celebrate the wedding. It is often a wonderful way for all of the guests to meet and get to know one another. Traditionally it is hosted by the parents of the groom. BUT, DWs are not so much traditional. Sometimes the bride and groom are paying for everything themselves. The food has nothing to do with what you are serving at your reception, it is completely separate. If you do a search on this forum under "Welcome Dinner" or "Rehersal Dinner", you will find out a lot on how the brides are doing theirs. I hope this helped you somewhat. Lizzy
  9. Congratulations Christine and Will! I am so happy for you! How did the grandmas- to- be react to your news? I bet they are thrilled! Take care of you and the baby.
  10. They are great! I can see you put a lot of work and time into them...your guests are goona love them!
  11. Hi, Envelpments is an online stationary. Here is the link Envelopments® Mix and Match Design Line - parts for custom invitations and announcements Have fun! I wish Maggie had wanted to do this, but the bride had other ideas! When her invites are finished, I will post!
  12. Hi, most of the girls had their photos done professionally. Then I think some of them did their own books, but I think some mad their own. I would contact nurseSarah, Ann, Courtney, or Jessalyn. I'm sorry I don't remember all of their forum names. Also, do a search for BDR photos and you should be able to get more inf from that search. Good luck!! I'm sure someone else will answer better in the morning.
  13. I'm on 2nd day of spark. Having trouble eating breakfast...so then I don't get all of the calories in. I must say it really has me motivated tho! Took a long walk and now getting ready for work. I will try to get in as much water as possible, but it is a late in the day start. I will do it though!
  14. Have a marvelous and sunny wedding day!
  15. Hey Kristi, welcome to the forum. I think joining our group is a very smart business move for any photographer who wants to get into destination weddings. The ladies and gents on the forum are all committed to doing their wedding, their way. This includes finding that special photographer, whether it be a traditional or photojournalist. Your photos are stunning! I am so happy to say
  16. I know I am really going to sound like I'm cheap, but I cannot see having to pay for copies of my own, or my friend's photos. Isn't there a place where you can store, share, edit and download w/o cost of prints? Do some of the wedding pages offer free sharing and storage?
  17. I don't know if they do or not. We are staying at Dreams Tulum and are having our rehearsal dinner there, but Jackie is not planning that celebration...the WC from the hotel is. The wedding and reception are at the beach club, Jackie is planning all of that I do know that Jackie is married into the family that owns Anna y Jose Resort and Spa. If you go to tulumweddings.com and look at the info, I am sure you will find contact info.
  18. Leigh, remember, tomorrow is your day. Relax and soak up all of the love everyone will be showering on you and DH. Have a wonderful time and I hope your wedding is the stuff dreams are made of!
  19. We booked with Jackie at Anna y Jose Beach Club, tulumweddings.com She has been very helpful and pretty quick to respond to emails. If you want a more secluded and private wedding, this is a good candidate!
  20. They are wonderful photos Tammy. Jackson can see, when he is older, of course, what he looked like in mommie's tummy before he was born. Love the tatts and love the boobaliscious , headless Tammy!
  21. Another thought might be to contact Tammy, the host of our forum. She has her own business and specializes in DW's. She is a lovely person and would never ask anyone to "book it yourself"! You can PM her with the name "host". If nothing else, she can advise you of what to do!
  22. OK, can a MOB join? I want to lose about 20-25lbs by Maggie's wedding. Not very realistic I know but I am going to work towards it!
  23. Hi, I have gradeschool pictures of me with my dark cirles and bags! Got them from my daddy. Anyway, Lauder has a make-up called Double Wear. It is a stay in place foudation that won't rub off and stays at least 15 hours/or when you wash it off. This foundation also has a concealor that works really well. Unfortunately there isn't an eyecreme that will tackle both puffiness and circles. I have used Christian Dior creme for circles and Benefits Puffy something for puffiness. The Dior is pricey, but works really well along with a concealor after about 2 weeks daily use. The puffy one I like too, but I have only had samples, not purchased it (an advantage of being a beauty advisor). Another thing about circles, I just read an article that says to use an illuminating light color concealor only in the dark area of the circle and a shade darker on the puffy are of you also have that. One of the makeup artists did that on me and I must say, I was pleasantly surprised! Remember, when messing around with any undereye area, ALWAYS use the ring finger only! Do not smooth the cream or concealor in, pat it in. I hope this will be of some help to you.
