  2. Edyta those are amazing! I have seen them a million times and I never get tired of looking at their site. Are you using the same exact colors? Your guests are going to love them. -Glenda
  3. Def send out two cards. Poor girl that is awful. I would have died of embarassment. Gosh guys are such slime sometimes. He should have at least waited until they got back! He didn't need to humilate her like that in the middle of Mexico. Tammy if your peanut is a boy you better raise him to be nice to girls. LOL. -Glenda
  4. Welcome! The Hilton is a beautiful hotel. Kash (gkashmira) and Sarah (sassygirl) are having weddings there, as are other girls. You should def PM them if you have any specific questions. As far as your question about whether or not you should go the AI route I think that all depends on your guests. Do you think your guests would prefer to pay one whole fee and just stay at the resort and eat all their meals there or would they prefer to venture out of the resort and try different restaurants. Of course just b/c you stay at an AI doesn't mean you are obligated to eat all meals there, but it does make it easier for some guests. Other people like having the option. Hope this helps. Let us know if you have any other questions. -Glenda
  5. Melissa everything looked amazing!!! I loved the mini videos!!! I love that you posted tons of pics and then gave us video footage. Love you for doing that. You look so amazing and so happy. I loved the cake with the single flower on it. *Sigh* I'm in love b/c of you. LOL. Okay I'm a cornball but you really did make me feel all gooshy inside. -Glenda
  6. Karen I was going to throw in my 2 cents but Amy beat me to it. I 100% agree with everything she said. I don't think you should do flowers b/c the restaurant will already have festive decor and more flowers may just be overkill. I also don't think you should wear your wedding attire, however informal it may be. I would however buy a cute white dress that is inexpensive to wear. My friend recently had an engagement party and she wore a very cute white dress from BCBG that came a little below the knee. I think something like this would be perfect. And I agree with Amy that you should pick up some local crafts from Mexico and attach a cute note to it. I would go with Amy's advice. -Glenda
  7. Sherri I would say def go for the mango and white. White is my favorite color so of course I love the white. But your dress will already be white so you should get something with color. The mango is beautiful and will photograph so wonderful, but I think since you are getting married in Hawaii you should do a fun colorful parasol so I voted for the mango and white. -Glenda
  8. Honestly I don't think there is anything that gets rid of them short of getting some sort of new surgery that supposedly lasers them away. But I do know that Vitamin E diminishes their appearance. Also, usually if you tan it will make your skin look smoother and can reduce the appearance of stretchmarks. -Glenda
  9. Happy Birthday Jilly! Hope it is the best one yet!! -Glenda
  10. I think it was Rebecca who told me (and sent me her excel budget spreadsheet) that kids are $10. That is per set-up. So for the ceremony and the reception set up it is $20 total. You pay half for kids than what you do for adults. However, I don't know who is considered a child. Under 12 maybe? I'm sure you can set them up separately I don't see why that would be a problem. -Glenda
  11. Ok here are my suggestions: 1. Shop around and see if some place will do the alterations for you cheaper. I don't know how detailed the dress is, but if it doesn't have too much detailing you could always go to a regular dry cleaners and just have them take in the bust part for you. It could not possibly cost more than $50-$100. And even that is expensive. Trust me there are cheap places to get things alter and they do great jobs. 2. I would need to see a pic of the dress to see if this would work but you should def get the chicken cutlet inserts. Actually everyone sticks them inside their bra but my gay friends who are designers said that the stars like Eva Longoria tape the cutlets to the outside of the bra. Apparently it enhances things even better. You can easily do this with double sided tape or crazy glue. If you can wear a traditional bra (with straps I mean) then you can pull the straps in the back behind your neck and tie them with something. This automatically pushes your boobs up and gives the illusion of bigger boobs. I know some stars (Paris Hilton) wears two padded bras on top of each other to make herself look like she has boobs. Another trick is to put socks underneath your bust and it will automatically push your boobs up. This all sounds ridiculous but hey if it works that's all that matters right? -Glenda
  12. Jessica my friends spent their honeymoon in cabo and this was the one restaurant they kept ranting and raving at. They were always telling us that we should have our wedding here. When I first went on the website I was drooling, literally drooling b/c it is so pretty. Then when I saw Karla's pics I was so jealous. You are going to have a beautiful wedding here, it is absolutely gorgeous and I heard the food is amazing. -Glenda

Ummm I'm so pathetic that I am already on the pre-order list for Season 2 of the DVD. -Glenda
  14. Anny the wedding industry is a billion dollar industry. Trust me people would easily pay for those. -Glenda
  15. Okay Anny for those of us that are DIY challenged I have the following questions (sorry if the answers are obvious) 1. Where in the world do you get one of those embossing contraptions? I know they take time to make but is it hard to do or could someone like me emboss paterns onto cardstock? 2. Where did you get the template? 3. Can you tell me exactly what font style and size you used for each lettering? 4. Did the cardstock you used for the envelope come with that pattern? Yeah I think that's it for now. LOL. -Glenda
  16. Now that's more like it! I absolutely love the pics. Your boquet is so pretty. I love the make-up too. Very pretty and natural. And I love the Barcelo pick. So cute. -Glenda

  18. Melissa those are great!! I love them. You look so pretty. And I love the way your tatoo looks from the back of your dress. It is in a perfect spot. Can't wait to see more! -Glenda p.s love the pic of you pinching the hubby's butt.
  19. There are a tons of newbies, most of whom I haven't welcomed yet. Everyone needs help with their DIY projects and I can barely assemble a PB&J sandwhich. Everyone talks about exercising, drinking lots of water, sticking with their weight watchers points, and I sit on my fat arse watching Beverly Hills 90210 on DVD, while stuffing my face with cheeseburgers and greasy fries. I have never posted one pic or linked anyone to a threadback b/c let's face it if the POWER button wasn't so large on my computer screen I wouldn't know how to turn the damn thing on. I have never set foot in a bridal store so I know nothing about tulle or organaza or charmeuse or whatever the hell the dress styles are called. Everyone has pretty tickers and monograms and let's just be honest I'm lucky I can spell my own name. And yet knowing all this the moderators still nominated me. I am absolutely speechless b/c I think you have all made a big mistake. However, I will try my best to be a good moderator and help as much as I can. I may not know much but gosh darnit as long as there is google, I will find the answer!!! Thank you to everyone for their congrats, I really appreciate it. And thank you to the moderators for having faith in me. (I feel like that part in mean girls where Lindsay Lohan gives a speech when she wins homecoming queen and the principal is like "people don't normally give speeches during these things." Okay I've embarassed myself enough I will stop) -Glenda
