Kate I have to admit this is so cute! And you have to let him have his donkey! Your guests will think it is adorable, trust me. It will be a funny story to tell your kids.

I am a big fan of weddings reflecting the couple so I say you should 100% do it. Remember people are coming to your wedding to celebrate you as a couple and they wouldn't want you to do it any other way. It sounds like so much fun!

CONGRATULATIONS!!! That is so exciting have a special secret wedding. Are you going to tell anyone or will you just tell them after the wedding?

Natasha you are always so eloquent and give the best advice. I swear you should be a motivational speaker or a marriage counselor. Everything seems to make sense when you say it. Do you want to come argue my trials in court for me?

This sounds amazing! You need to post pics ASAP. If you don't I will be forced to tell Tammy M and I promise you that she will make you post pics! LOL

Thanks for the tips Sol. I noticed that you are getting married in RM. Have you picked a specific location yet? And a photographer? I am dying to know who you will choose to photograph your wedding.

I swear if there was anyway that I could lose 70 pounds by that date I would so fly out to Cali and do this. Not like I couldn't use the sunshine!!!! Why do I stuff my face with food all day long? LOL.

Welcome! Do not stress we will help you find the perfect place. I would recommend Mexico to you only b/c there are so many options. One thing you can look into doing is staying with your guests at an all-inclusive resort and then having your wedding in a different locale. A lot of girls are staying at all-inclusives in puerto vallarta and then having their wedding at las caletas which is very private and intimate. Another option as Tammy stated is the cabo surf hotel. It is a smaller resort and sounds like it fits what you are looking for. My last option is renting a private villa. There are some that are all-inclusive. I know someone posted (I can't remember who off the top of my head right now) some info about all-inclusive villas in costa rica. I know Belize also has private beaches but I am told that Belize is very expensive so you may not want to go that route. Let us know how we can help.

Tammy everytime you start these cake threads I end up very hungry. So I just went around the block to the bakery and bought myself a cupcake. mmmmm...yummy.

Welcome Julie! I don't know much about this hotel but it looks amazing! I think you will have a great wedding there. Plus Anny is going to have her honeymoon there in july so hopefully when she writes her review she will let you know about this hotel as well. Let us know how we can help you.

Tammy personally I would say do a grooms cake only b/c you don't have a lot of guests so you really don't need to waste all that money on a full wedding cake. However, I kind of get the impression that you want a real wedding cake and I think you are going to be sad if you don't get one. So I think you should either get a regular wedding cake or stick to the individual cakes even if ends up costing you. The individual cakes are such a beautiful, classy idea, I think you should just stick with it. Just yell at the baker and make her honor your original contract!!

You have the hair and make-up people say "Listen I'm here for Kate's wedding and if you mess with me there are going to be serious problems b/c Kate is a lawyer and you don't want to F@#$ with her. So get out of my way or I will hurt you." I think that should be enough.

Elizabeth thank you for all the info, so nice of you to send it my way. And let me tell you that not only are you so lucky to be having your wedding at Las Ventanas, but you are especially lucky to have Leigh as your photog. She is absolutely amazing and as I'm sure you've already discovered by all the different threads we are obsessed with her!!
Quick question: Does las ventanas let you use outside vendors or are you required to use the vendors they suggest?
-Glenda
Yay Sarah! It looks amazing you must be so excited to get it. Your really checking things off your list. It must feel good to just have another thing done even if you had to give your ring up for 2-3 weeks.

Oooh I love the invites they look so cute! And I luv, luv pink, it's just such a fun, girlie color. I'm sure your guests will love the invitation. The siggy pic is great btw, you guys look so good. And the black and white is very nice.

Oh okay that makes sense. Sorry if I sounded like debbie downer I was just worried b/c I know how guests can be about RSVPing on time! LOL. Well then you have nothing to worry about and again the invites look really pretty.

Thank you so much for your tips, they are absolutely wonderful. I'm so glad you are on this forum to impart your great advice! I am dying to know which locale you choose and who you will have as your photographer. Your work is absolutely amazing by the way. We are all in awe of your work, it is just flawless! Congratulations on planning your wedding.

Elizabeth somehow I missed your post. But I wanted to say WELCOME!!!! And I am so jealous I love Las Ventanas. That is where I always wanted to get married but I was scared of the cost. Do you mind my asking what pricing is like for that locale? I'm sure your wedding is going to be absolutely beautiful. Are your guests staying there as well or are you all staying at another resort?
