  1. YAY Lenita! Congratulations I am so happy for you! I don't even know where to start. Your flower girl is the cutest thing ever, I loved her dress. You could not have looked anymore beautiful than you did. You looked absolutely gorgeous. Everything looked impeccable. I loved the shoes and the matching flower in your hair. I also liked that Andre wore a white suit. You are such an attractive couple. It looked like all your guests were having fun which is the most important thing. And the carriage was so cute I got misty eyed while I was watching the slidshow. Congrats again and I wish you lots of love and happiness in your new marriage! ~Jill the pictures were amazing. Great job as always! -Glenda
  2. Angela my vote is for #2. It is beachy but still has the elegance of a longer train. I like both sash colors, they are very pretty but I think the rose one is nicer. Then again I don't know what your colors are (or maybe I do and I forgot it). Either way I love dress #2. However, I have a feeling that you like #1 the best. I don't know why I get that feeling but I do. I think you really want #1 but your scared it's going to be too much. It is never too much, it is your wedding you should wear what you want!!!! -Glenda
  3. Oooh I want to adopt too! Well I would like to have my own children as well but I think it would be nice to adopt. That is so nice that you would do that for your sister. You are such a good sister. Unlike some sisters I know which shall remain nameless. (That one's for you Tammy) -Glenda
  4. I can get any type of watch just let me know the model and make. This is 100% a registered dealer. If I was getting fakes I would tell you guys as I did with the pashs. LOL. Plus who wants to give their hubby a fake watch? That wouldn't be a very nice gift. LOL. My friend is a jeweler and he works in the diamond district in NYC and has a legit store and you will all get receipts and the warranties and so on and so on. If there is any problems they will exchange it for you. If anyone is ever wondering whether or not something is fake, you can purchase something and then take it to the store (of the brand that it is) and ask the sales people if the product is fake or not. They look it up based on the serial number and they will tell you. If a place does not let you exchange then they are probably fake. Or those online stores that tell you that you can't get the warranty or tags are usually selling fake stuff. That is why I was wary of the online store I posted. -Glenda
  5. Wow you guys all have such interesting lives! I am a big bore. I can't even think of anything. Tammy I am not shocked that you are a genius, I have always thought you were pretty damn smart. (As I think all you girls are). Christa that is awesome that you paid for college! You should never feel embarassed for being a hardworker and putting yourself through college. Plus if I had a body like yours and I could shake my bootie, trust me I would! LOL. Rachelle I think everyone is scared of getting old. It's just a natural part of life. Amy it's understandable that your scared by death in general b/c of all the deaths in your family. That's so terrible that you've had to go through all that. And Melissa there is nothing wrong with not wanting kids. At least you were upfront and told him that your not keen on the idea. And Drea hopefully you'll FI will change his mind. -Glenda
  6. Glenda, I think you would make a pretty Cinderella. I think this world needs a brunette as Cinderella and you are the perfect candidate. Aww Angie you are so cute! Thank you for the nice compliment. I wish I was cinderella. LOL. Although I look more like princess Jasmine with my dark hair and features. -Glenda
  7. Tammy that is so rude! Ugh I wish I had some great words of wisdom to impart but I don't. All I can tell you is that I am here for you whenever you need to vent. I can't believe her is she really that selfish? She is going to be really sad to learn that when scientists find the center of the universe she will not be it! -Glenda
  8. Happy Birthday Margaret! I hope you have a great day filled with lots of good wedding planning. -Glenda
  9. Oops I just realized that your post said friday before sundown. This may be a problem. Friday is not a good day to have a jewish wedding b/c of the sabbath. But if you find a really liberal reformed rabbi then you might be able to. -Glenda
  10. You do not need to convert to Judaism to be married by a rabbi. If you were getting married in a temple then it might be a problem b/c conservative temples won't let a reformed jew get married there, and orthodox temples don't allow conservative jews, etc. If you are not getting married in a temple then it's usually not a problem. However, I am going to go out on a limb here and say that only a reformed rabbi would probably marry you guys. I don't think a conservative rabbi and def not an orthodox rabbi would marry you if you are not converting. I know that there are rabbis in Mexico city but I'm not sure about other areas in Mexico, since Mexico is predominately a catholic country. Your best bet is to bring someone from home and fly them in. Or else you can go online and hire a rabbi. It really shouldn't be a problem. Then you will just have to get a chuppah (which looks a little bit like an arch) that is made from flowers and you will be all set for your jewish wedding. -Glenda
  11. I love it! I love disney, I don't care how cheesy it is. Cinderella is my absolute favorite! I keep secretly hoping someone I know will get married at Disney and I will get invited!!! The only thing that I don't like is wearing the actual costume. I love cinderella but I wouldn't want a blue dress with puffy sleeves either. But I think getting married there would be beautiful. Can you imagine getting married in a castle with fireworks? I mean it has got to be magical. My friend is getting married in June (she is obsessed with disney) and she is going to have 2 disney ice sculptures. I will post pics when I go. She said her wedding will be very disney inspired so it will be interesting to see what it is like. Also, for some reason I don't think they will make the brides gowns the same as the characters costumes. I mean it will probably just strongly resemble them or be inspired by them. Plus I think we are all thinking of their main costumes and not the ones they wear when they get married. If you remember princess Jasmine had a completely different outfit than the blue "harem" outfit she normally wears. And Cinderella also had a poofy white princess dress in the end remember? -Glenda
  12. Okay I promised I would ask my friend's husband "the jeweler" if he could get me a good price on luxury watches. I asked him about the Tag watch specifically b/c that is the one that a lot of girls mentioned. He doesn't directly sell watches b/c he does wholesale diamonds in the diamond district in NYC so he would have to get them through his friend. Basically he said that the more watches we purchase the better deal everyone will get. And if people pay cash (not sure how we would pull that one off) then there will be another discount and no tax. NYC has high sales tax. (sorry) Anyways so he said he recently got a tag watch for his friend with floating diamonds inside the watch (obviously one of the more upscale ones) for $1,200. I realize most of you may not want to spend that much but I just wanted to mention it so that you can get an idea of the pricing. He said if I get him specific watch models then he will be able to give me a better idea of how much he can get it for. So if anyone is interested PM the specific watch style and model number. Also, I found this site: Alan Furman & Co - Tag Heuer Watches which seems to have pretty reasonable prices on watches. But I figure if someone wants a nice one that isn't too ridiculously priced then he might be able to get it for like $500 or so. -Glenda
  13. Oh Melissa I love it! It looks so good. I saw this spanish actress wearing her hair the same exact way to a spanish award show and my sister and I were commenting on how good it looks. I can't believe she was able to make your hair look like it's really long. What a great job!! And the make up looks good too although I know you have a different make up artist doing your make up. I love it. Are you so excited? -Glenda
  14. Julie I don't even know where to start! First of all welcome to the forum. I'm sorry you didn't find us earlier but by the looks of your pics you def didn't need any of our help!! Your pics were spectacular and you can tell that everyone enjoyed themselves which is the most important thing. Secondly, your husband and you are such a good looking couple!! I loved your dress and I especially loved the necklace and the flower in your hair. It looked perfect! The pics honestly moved me to tears especially when I saw your husband getting choked up. The palapas looked amazing and it seems like everything worked out perfectly. Also, I really liked that your husband wore all white and the other groomsmen wore the tan pants. Very nice touch! Congratulations on your wedding and I wish you and your husband a happy marriage! -Glenda
  15. I think you should just ask them. I really don't think people get offended by this. They may decline b/c they feel embarassed and don't want to take your money but I don't think it would offended. If anything they will feel flattered and honored that you love them enough to offer to pay for them. When you ask your aunt make sure you preface it by telling her how much she means to you and how you can't imagine getting married without her there by your side. Tell her it would mean the world to you and your FI to have them there. -Glenda
  16. Oh yeah and 90% of the time at work is spent on this forum and not on work so that doesn't apply to me either. -Glenda
  17. ROFL! These all apply to me. Well except for the elevator music. I still love pop music. Thanks Christa this was great for a laugh. -Glenda
  18. Christine I love, love these invites! Your party sounds like so much fun. You have the best BM's! I hope my BM's give me my roller disco party that I want when I get married. LOL. Seriously you guys are going to have so much fun. I wish we were all rich and we could just have Leigh and Jill document every aspect of our weddings. This way there would be tons of pics to look at on the forum. -Glenda
  19. Thanks for sharing! Love them. You are so lucky you are honeymooning at Las palmillas. I am so jealous, please take lots of pics. -Glenda

YAY two great photogs Leigh & Jill who made another bride's special day magical. Good job ladies! -Glenda
