    Hello

Hi Kathleen! Welcome to the forum. Have you narrowed it down to Mexico? I figure any weather is better than New York weather so any of your locations would be a great place to have a wedding. Anny's pics are amazing. Cancun is a great place to get married and it will be pretty affordable and accesible for your guests. Good luck with your planning and let us know how we can help. -Glenda

  7. Welcome Deb! I know I had spoken to you on another thread about how great your website was but I wanted to properly welcome you. Good luck with your planning and let us know how we can help. -Glenda
  8. Welcome! I think you should also consider Dreams Cabo. That is pretty close to you and as Tammy already mentioned you can probably get a great deal on flights. Also, since I am getting married there I can tell you that your per person cost would be $44. This includes a $22 ceremony set up fee and a $22 reception set up fee. If you have 75 guests that would be $3,300. If you want to spend $20,000 max this will leave you a lot of leighweigh for other things. Good luck with your planning and let us know how we can help! -Glenda
  9. Welcome! I was also a forum virgin but you will catch on as you go along. Jilly, Andrea and Leigh are getting married at Dreams Cancun so I'm sure they will be able to answer any questions you have. Also, Dreams Cancun is opening up a special dolphin aquarium so that is something to look forward to. Let us know how we can help with your planning. -Glenda

  17. Welcome Krista! August 4th is my b-day so I think you picked a great day. LOL. An informal outdoor wedding sounds wonderful. Did you say you are doing a garden type of party? Have you thought about what type of decor you would like. Will you have tents or not? I have always love weddings in open spaces that have tents. You should be able to get lots of inspiration on this site. Good luck with the planning and let us know how we can help. -Glenda

  19. Welcome Lulu! Maui is gorgeous. My FI and I were just discussing last night how we really want to go to the Four Season Maui. Sheri is also getting married in Hawaii so you should def talk to her, and as Ann mentioned before she is honeymooning there so I'm sure they will be able to help you out. The plantation that Christine mentioned sounds amazing! I wish I was getting married there. But as you'll soon come to learn, I want to get married everywhere. LOL. Good luck with your planning and let us know how we can help! -Glenda
  20. Welcome! Maldives sounds so wonderful! I don't know much about the area so I'm hoping I will learn lots of new facts from you. I love the dresses you posted especially the Reem Acra and the Angel Sanchez. Isn't it so much fun to look at all the different types of wedding dresses? Let us know how we can help (although I admit I won't be much help with the Maldives region) and good luck with your planning! -Glenda
  21. Welcome Gladys! I am also getting married in Cabo at the Dreams. All your guests do not need to stay there but you will have to pay a day pass for each guest for the day of the wedding as well as for any other days they come to hang out at the resort with you. This is how the AI resorts work. All the places you listed are beautiful, it is just a matter of coming up with a list of things that are important to you. Will you have children traveling with you? Do you want a large resort or a smaller one? Do you want a party place or something quite? Once you decide what is important to you and your FI you should be able to narrow it down. Good luck with your planning (and your residency!) and let us know how we can help. -Glenda
  22. Welcome to the forum Liz! While I have never stayed at a RIU resort I hear nothing but good things about it. Let us know how we can help you and good luck with the planning! -Glenda

You will get lots of info on this site and even though I am a cabo bride feel free to ask any questions. Good luck with the planning! -Glenda
  24. Welcome Kelly! You have come to the right place for all your wedding planning needs. RM is a beautiful location and one that I know all your guests will enjoy. What exactly are you looking for in a locale? Do you want an all-inclusive or would you prefer a place that has more affordable rooms? Do you want to be close to nightlife? Will you have children joining you? Are you looking for a larger party resort or do you want something smaller and quite? Off the top of my head I am going to name the following: 1. Dreams Tulum 2. Barcelo Maya 3. El Dorado Royale 4. Iberostar Paraiso Maya 5. Bahia Principe 6. Grand Paladium 7. Excellence. Let us know what we can do to help you with your wedding planning. Good luck and have fun! -Glenda
  25. Welcome Christie! I'm so happy you have picked a location already that is the biggest headache in the beginning. With that out of the way you can begin planning on the fun details. There are a lot of DR brides here so I'm sure you'll get lots of info. Also, I know a few brides on this site were inquiring about the Paradisus so hopefully you can give them some insight to the locale as well. See that you just joined and your already a huge asset to the forum! Good luck with the planning and let us know how we can help and keep us posted on all the details of your wedding. -Glenda
