David's Bridal Sale
Nrvsbride replied to Nrvsbride's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
Ooh goodie Jules I hope this sale helps you. Christine do they really have sales all the time? There is a dress that I think I def want to get for my church ceremony and it is only $299 but I think it's on sale right now for $99. I didn't know if I should run out and get it now. LOL. But if they always have sales then I guess I can hold off. -Glenda -
Hi Girls! I don't know who is gown shopping but I thought I would let everyone know that David's Bridal is having a sale from March 3- March 19th. They have a $99 sale on select gowns and $50-$200 off on every bridal gown including David Bridal Exclusive, Oleg Cassini, and Monique Luo. Hope this helps someone! -Glenda

My Luggage Tags Are Done!
Nrvsbride replied to Sarah's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
Sarah I also will be requesting two for myself and one for my pooch Bentley. Seriously those look great! Aylee is so good at what she does, the monogram looks great. And I love the color. You did such a good job with this, you seriously do need to write a DW book with all DIY. -Glenda -
I absolutely love it! It is so different and the colors look great. I think hot pink flowers or even orange ones will be beautiful. I remember watching some wedding special and Heidi Klum's wedding planner (I believe it was Mindy Weiss) did hot pink and orange flowers and used those two colors for her decor. It was absolutely gorgeous and that's the vibe that I get from your monogram! Good job. -Glenda

a reception with NO DANCING????

I'm still looking for advise on CD's or song list that would be good during brunch. How about music from the Gypsy Kings. The music is fun and festive (and in spanish) but not so upbeat that people will feel obligated to have to get up and dance. I think it's just the right balance so that it's not boring, slow dinner type music, but more upbeat brunch music. If you aren't familiar with their songs you can go online and check them out. -Glenda -
Same ceremony site as your friend?
Nrvsbride replied to lulubelle's topic in General Wedding Planning Information
Personally I wouldn't care, I would feel happy for my friend. As I told you in your newbie thread my FI and I are dying to go to the Four Season Maui. We got engaged in the Four Seasons NYC so we kind of want to hit up all the Four Seasons around the world. I can certainly understand why you would want to do it there. But honestly, most girls are weird about these kinds of things. Even if you speak to her, she may not be honest with you about how she really feels. She may feel that her wedding was different and unique and now if you have your wedding there you may be taking a part of that away from her. Sorry if I sound mean but since you asked I am being honest. I would def talk to her and see how she feels before you proceed with your plans. Hopefully she won't care and you can have your fabulous Four Seasons Wedding!! -Glenda -
OMG! I am not going to lie but this is not good. Don't panick yet. If you don't have a TA I would PM Tammy ASAP and ask her what she thinks you should do. I don't get it, how could they allow you to book a wedding that day and also have a convention but expect 80% of your guests to stay there? This just doesn't make sense. I would speak to someone and tell them that they should have to honor your wedding even if 80% of guests can't stay there b/c you relied on it. I'm assuming you didn't book rooms which is why there are not rooms for your guests. Hopefully your guests can stay elsewhere. And I know this really sucks but I think you are going to have to pay the $100 day fee. I know it is not in your budget but you will have to put it on a credit card or something. I'm so sorry you are going through this. I hope everything works out for you. -Glenda

Yeah it's not bad. Not cheap but not bad. I honestly thought it was going to be like $5 each or something ridiculous like that. I'm convinced I am def going to do this. And I will probably dress up the stand with the lacy doily the way they did in the pic and I will also try to place some flowers in between the cupcakes here and there to make it look a little more festive. I just have to see if someone can make the frosting whipped like that. I guess this means I will have to use blue in my decor. LOL. Ahhh boys... -Glenda -

What the deuce? Sorry to be rude but is your BM crazy? Does she not know that part of the job description of being a BM is wearing a dress that could potentially be heinous, having to put your hair into some weird hairdo that the bride likes, and doing whatever the BRIDE wants for her bachelorette party. I mean she is just being rude and inconsiderate. She herself is getting married, how would she like it if you knocked down all her bachelorette party ideas. And I'm sorry I like to save money but $40 is not a lot of money, she is just being cheap!!! Why is she acting this way? Someone needs to put her in her place! -Glenda

Ok Tammy I posted this on your what would you do thread but I'm going to post it here again. This is what I am planning to do: Monogrammed Cupcake Tower My FI and I don't like cake and he really like blue icing so I said okay. I plan to do the tier thing so that it looks more weddingish. And I will aim for this shade blue so that it does not look kindergartenish. Also I think the importance is the way the frosting is applied. In your pic it is smeared. If you look in this pic it is delicately whipped on into layers which makes it look a little more elegant. And I am planning on getting the fondant hearts to place on top of each one with our monogram. -Glenda -
Welcome! I am not familiar with this area but hopefully someone can help you out. Let us know if you need help with any specific details of your romantic private renewal. Sounds wonderful... -Glenda
