  1. Do you have any friends/family in the States? It might be cheaper (and easier) to mail all of your invites to someone in the States and have them send them out USPS. Just a thought?
  2. I love them! The colors are so pretty. I especially love the orchid graphic. I used Prim and Pixie for my std's too. Aren't those girls great. Can't wait to see the pictures.
  3. Thanks girls for all of your support. I haven't been on the forum because it is just too depressing to think about the wedding. I just don't even want to deal with it. I know in the end it will all work out for the best. Thanks again!!
  4. Shelly, so sorry to hear. I can relate as we just found out that we too have to postpone too. As you can see the girls are all here for you. I know that I don't know you but I feel like I do based on all of your great advice and support that you give the board. You sound like you are doing well considering. I completely agree with all of these posts, its not about the wedding but rather the marriage. Which comes down to what you two mean to one another. The wedding will come and when it does it will be beautiful. In the meantime just treasure the fact that you still have each other. Hugs to you and hang in there. Lu Lu
  5. I am soooo upset, I just don't know what to do. I have to postpone my wedding! I can't believe I am even typing those words right now. It has not really sunk in yet. My FFIL just sat me and my FI down this to tell us that he wants us to change the date. He has business oversees that he HAS to attend to the same week as our date. Some huge meeting that was originally scheduled for earlier in the year but had to be changed and is now the exact same time as our wedding. We have already sent out save the dates and have ordered invites. Don't know quite what to do. We have deposits placed for several of our vendors. My FI does not want to have the wedding without his Dad, which I totally understand. I have gone through so many emotions, sadness, disbelief, anger. I feel selfish. Not sure what to do. I haven't even broken the news to my parents yet.

  7. Potato Cheese Soup - ok not the healthiest recipe so dieters beware. But it is sooo goood! 3-4 large baking potatoes peeled and cut into cubes boil them with 1/2 small chopped onion until fork tender, drain water and return to pot. Add 1 cup half and half then add enough whole milk to cover the potatoes. Add 1/2 stick of butter. Add one half velveeta cheese loaf cut into cubes. Salt and pepper to taste. Let simmer on low until cheese melts. I usually mash up a couple of the potatoes cubes in the pot to make it thicker. Enjoy!!

It is pretty expensive for my florist to do the tree, so I am wondering if this is something I could attempt on my own.
  9. Is anyone DIYing a wishing tree? If so, how do you plan on doing? I am not very crafty so as much info as possible would be greatly appreciated
  10. What a beautiful poem! Thanks for making me teary eyed

I think I will be using ribbon or string to secure the boarding passes along the left side and am thinking perhaps of using the charm there, similar to below. This invitation was my inspiration. Any help would be appreciated. I would prefer gold, rather then silver. Obviously, not REAL gold though! Yay! I am glad that you are looking to do this invitation! You have good taste Have you contacted Prim and Pixie? Maybe they could help you?
