  1. Hi Ladies (and Jason). Long time no BDW. I am SOOOOO late to this thread. I would love to join you all on the 20th but Brendan and I already have plans that day. Hopefully I can catch the next one.
  2. OMG - I FINALLY figured out Problem #1. I took a blank memory card and stuck it in my camera. Then hooked up the camera to the Mac. Downloaded the pics to the memory card and then downloaded the memory card to the picture frame. IT WORKED!!! Yippee. I feel like MacGyver.
  3. WOW, I'm not even a Dreams Tulum bride but that new thread is AWESOME!!! Great job Sunbride!!!!
  4. Yeah Glenda!!! I'm glad nothing was too painful for you. I'm going to the DMV tomorrow - wish me luck. Oh, and did I ever tell you about when I went to change my name with my bank. I still bank with Bank of America (even though I'm no longer an employee.) So the first thing I did was call them and ask what was needed. They told me I could go to any branch and all I needed was my marriage certificate (MC.) I even told the woman on the phone that my MC is in Spanish, would that be a problem? She said no. Ok great! So I go to a branch in my neighborhood and ask them to make the change. They tell me I need my SS card too (which I hadn't received yet.) And I was PISSED because I SPECIFICALLY called and asked so I wouldn't waste my time. <<Ok, shake it off Jen, shake it off.>> So, I wait for my SS card to come in the mail and I attempt to visit a different branch. When I get there, they tell me there is no one there to translate the MC. <<You have got to be f*cking kidding me!!>> So I go to a THIRD branch and basically tell the guy, "This is my third attempt to change my name - here's how it's going to work." He was very apologetic and said he would help me. I told him I was an ex-employee and that the freaking bank has my fingerprints on file for crying out loud. He thens asks me if I have any other documents with my new name (in addition to the MC and SS card.) I was like, "Buddy, I'm going to STAB you if you don't change my name today." He changed it. Needless to say, I'm looking for a new bank.
  5. #1. Yes, it did come with a UBS cord but for some reason I was under the impression that this frame wasn't Mac compatible. I just fiddled around with it and it is compatible. My problem now is that when I try to transfer the pics, I'm being told there isn't enough space on the frame - which is weird because this frame is suppose to hold 3000 pictures and I only want to upload 1400. Could the pictures be too big maybe? #2. I went to Staples and specifically asked about this. I was told to use a flash drive. Well, I don't want to use a flash drive. I want to send some of my friends some pictures without having to get the flash drive back. And I'm not buying a flash drive every time I want to send someone pictures. Staples also suggested emailing the pictures which I can't do because it's too many and it'll take forever. #3. I had gone into Apple before I bought the Mac and asked some questions. My biggest issue about getting the Mac was that I was afraid I was going to lose my iTunes account. Apparently anything you purchase from iTunes will always be yours and you can get them back if you get a new computer. I just don't know how. I'll have to call them. And yes, I did save all my music on disks, so I do have them backed up. So right now, I'm hating on my Mac. We have had a "love/hate" relationship since we first met. I hate it until I figure out something new and then I love it.

  8. This sounds like it's your thyroid. I had a similar issue YEARS ago. Every now and then I would get what I called "hot flashes." They would come on randomly (about once a month - although I never really paid attention to see if it was "that" time of the month) and would last about 5 minutes at a time. I would sweat profusely. In fact, it would happen when I was already on the subway in the morning and I remember praying to God to please don't let me die until I got to work. LOL!!! Well, then a few years later, I was diagnosed with a thyroid condition (I still don't know which I am - hypo or hyper. You would think I would pay more attention at the doctor.) Anyway, once I started taking Synthroid, the hot flashes stopped. Your sweating sounds the same, so I definitely think there could be some connection. Let us know what the doctor says.
  9. Help!!! My family convinced me to get a Mac since all I really use a computer for is internet, pics and music. Ok, well I'm having all kinds of issues and I'm getting really frustrated. Ok, Problem #1: I have a SmartParts digital picture frame that I am trying to download pics to. How do I get the pics from my Mac to the frame? I can't figure it out. Problem #2: I also want to save some pics to disks to give to friends (of my niece's 3rd birthday party.) I burned the pics to a DVD+R disk, but they don't show up when I try to open the disk on a PC (which is what my friends have.) Uuuggghhh - see why I'm frustrated. Problem #3: And this may be a question for Apple directly. How do I install my old iTunes account on the new Mac? Thanks for your help.
