  1. We invited everyone we would want to be there but understood if not all could make it. We invited I think about 75 and got 43 to go.
  2. You should. The day goes by soo fast that the photographer is going to miss moments. I was soo happy we did it.
  3. I got the sandlewood ones as well. The other ones seemed really cheap once I actually got them in so I returned them. I put them on each chair faned out with a clear barrel of bubbles I got from David Tutera. To this I tied a fuchsia ribbon.
  4. I actually took advantage of the wedding site I created to communicate everything and get everyone excited about the trip. In my opinion it worked out better because everyone got to talking ahead of time, groups got together for excursions and they were able to score better pricing.
  5. I purchased a clear acrylic tray and had the WC load it with sand. Then I made tent style cards preprinted that she "stuck" in there. Simple clean - loved it.
  6. Let me list pros and cons since I've been through it and REALLY wanted the wedding on the sand. Con's: * You have lookers that will stop. In the moment you won't realize they are even there until the man who has no business wearing speedos is in EVER SINGLE SHOT. * You can't wear fabulous shoes * You get sand on everything. When I say everything I mean EVERYTHING * The wind will mess up your hair * Did I mention SPEEDO? * Sun beating on your face - you will squint. It's unavoidable unless you do glasses Pro: It's different then a scene from a venue at home We went with a fountain setup that had a gazebo my FI and I were under - our bridal party was not. We were happy too it was the hottest day of the week. Our pictures came out beautifully and we had the area blocked off. As a compromise after the wedding we took pictures out on the sand.
  7. Me too. I went with an off white organza trumpet style gown. It actually seemed classier to me.
  8. So these can look really cheap and to find one that doesn't means they are too expensive in my opinion. I bought one that I fell in love with and when I put it on discovered that I wouldn't wear it as long as I would want. The details were actually too large around the toe area and seemed to rub my toes horribly.
  9. We went with DB although not thrilled. Their selections were limited but I had girls that lived all over the place, they were all plus sizes accept for my Jr Bridesmaid and ranged in height from tall to short. Their prices were also better then every one elses I found and I really didn't want the girls to spend a lot of money on them.
  10. I too tide a ribbon on a bible with the rings laced through a ribbon so they wouldn't fall. It worked out very well.
  11. yes they do, mostly in a silver finish with a silver stone, some pale shades but they are meant to be seen so they worked fine. My mom really wanted me to wear a veil so I wore one and was actually happy I did. It completed the look. I took it off mid way through pictures for a little bit of a different look. The weights really made a difference.
  12. My MIL picked her own dress. My colors were fuchsia, lime green and beige - she choose beige.

I shoved all of my cloths, my mom and dad, my nieces stuff and my maid of honor's in carryon's, carried on my wedding gown and put the rest in all of our checkin's. I could have gotten away with 3 check-in's but the weight capacity of 50 lbs made me spread things out. I left quit a bit at the resort. My maid was the best! I'm typically on top of putting things in the safe but this time was such a noodle head that I kept leaving things out. Nothing ever happened to anything so I ended up giving her quit a bit of stuff she was really excited about.

You said you wanted to walk to your own music for the ceremony. How did that work? Did you bring your own radio system, or did the resort take care of that and que the music for you? I have a fountain ceremony as well with a violinist, and would prefer to walk to my own music as well but I didn't know how that would work. I booked Pastor Mark Lykins as well and it's great to hear that you had a wonderful experience with him! What time did your ceremony begin? And what time did your reception begin? I'm trying to make sure we have enough time to take pics in between the ceremony and dinner. Do you have any pictures to share (ceremony and reception setup)? I'd love to see your menus, fans, bubble chairs and photo booth! Thanks! Hey girl! The saxophonist played while the guys and girls walked down the aisle and when it was time for me to walk they switched to their own system. You just give the song to your WC and she plays it when she needs to. I did not bring any radio system. That part actually worked pretty well. My ceremony started at 4:30, cocktails from 5-6 reception 6-10, I paid for an extra hour of ceremony and it was seriously the best decision we could have made! We were late because of pictures and to tell you to the truth I wish we had more time for more pictures. Let me figure out how to upload pictures and I'll post some
