  1. Love this forum. Is my FI the only one giving a hard time about his outfit?
  2. Try your local Dollar Tree store. I had to go to a few locations for the amount I needed but I found them!
  3. Sorry, I haven't been on in a while. We actually decided to do the ceremony by the fountain. We originally were going to do it on the beach but I read a bunch that the beach isn't private which made me uneasy. Are you doing it oceanside? I wish I wasn't such a control freak, I would have loved to do it!
  4. I am not even kidding you guys I'm going to go postal. I actually spoke to the new girl on Friday who said she would email me by end of day and still nothing. This after 4 weeks of unanswered emails, a phone call with the new girls name 2 weeks ago who at that point said they would send me an email and again last Friday. I'm seriously over it. I could kill everyone who told me this would be easier than something back home.
  5. Not yet. Perhaps they are making their way down the list? When is your wedding?
  6. Does anyone else have Sylvia as WC? She wasn't responding to my emails so I called over there and learned she's been gone for a week. Someone was supposed to get back to me but I haven't heard anything!
  7. Yes unfortunately it is. We booked before they changed the policy so our vendor fee is only 150. For me, pics are the most important part of everything so I felt it was well worth having an outside photographer. I looked at both HDC and Caribbean Emotions ended up with CE. I felt they had a variety of economical options to choose from and were very accommodating.
  8. Dollipop - I'm getting married 8/28!!!!!!! We'll see eachother there!
  9. DJ Mannia was actually cheaper on some things like the lit floor, sparklers, and on some of the packages even with the 150 vendor fee if you booked before 2/16. What are you doing decor wise?
  10. Your pictures look great!!! I'm so greatful for all the brides coming back to tell us how things go. I have to say the stress of the rooms would have done me over. I'm so afraid since everyone booked gardenview rooms to save money. Did you bring everything with you decor wise? What time did you have the reception start? They recommend 4 for the ceremony but for the sake of having things flow I was thinking 5 ceremony so we can have dinner at 7:30 (we like to eat a little later) Were your guests compensated at all for the inconvenience? Did you have any guests with children under 2? Do you know if there were nanny services available?
  11. Phrases we hope you never have to say..Hilarious!!! I think I'll have to steal that one!
  12. Thats ok! As you can tell I haven't been on here for a bit. I went the Divine package, mainly for the lobster and steack perk lol. Kinda my favorite So I thought about the fire dancers too but I think I'm going to see if they are booked during the week we are there. If so, I'll switch it for a cigar roller. What package are you thinking for the DJ? I heard great things about DJ Mannia but have read recently that the resort dj is good so I wonder if they are trying to get better with certain things.
  13. Hi Donna, Can you tell me who you were emailing to get the accomodations squared away?
  14. ok ChrisDeluca lol. I think I can put all my questions here now. Here goes: - Was your wedding at 4 if not what time? - At the bridal suite -- Did they charge you for the champaign and fruit plates? -- How many girls did you have there? -- How much did the ones who take advantage of the services pay? - what time did your reception start/end? - Did you guys do anything afterwards? - Did any of your guests have garden rooms? Did they have terrible views? - How far were they from the main area? - Who was your wedding coordinator? You mentioned there were a few hiccups, would you mind elaborating? I think thats it for now
