    Depends on your budget. I'm in the same boat as you. Trying to decide on a photographer for our wedding in Jamaica too. I know there is a lot of info on here about photographers. There is Marcia Roberts, Sungold, Brian Nejedly, TrueColors...all I can think of right now. Good luck.

    I had some friends constantly talking about how they are coming, can't wait to go, looking to book, etc....and then came up w/ weird excuses like Jamaica isn't safe. 1 week later...they are booking their own vacation to Jamaica! WTH. If you don't want to come, I don't care; just don't go rambling on and on about how you are and then quickly change your mind! On the other hand, we also have friends who said they would come when we mentioned it, but haven't mentioned the STD received or wedding at all. Oh well!

    We've decided to plan our wedding w/ 6 months notice. Been together forever and finally paid off some bills. Thought now would be a good time financially. So...we just put whatever extra we can to the side. No real method. Just trying to the extra in the savings before we waste it away!

    Now I have a new idea of where to look for dresses.

    If you have already chosen purple and that is whay you want...stick w/ it. You will find decor to match. You don't want to change colors and regret it later. However, any colors will be great and the decor will look great just because you are at the beach :-)

    I was worried we wouldn't have enough people either, so I didn't do a block or group rate. We have people contemplating different arrival/departures and different room classes. Good to know your guests should keep their rates.

    Congrats! At least you have Hawaii pinpointed as your destination, so you are well on your way. Took me weeks to pick an island...lol. Def contact a TA or two so they can help you narrow down the choices, give recommendations, and help w/ budget. Good luck!

    I've spent a ton of time looking at vistaprint. I'm just not creative and don't know what to get or what to use things for. I'll just have to dive in one day and do it. I got a groupon and ordered a wedding sample packet from them. Not a ton of info in the packet, but there was a card for a wedding specialist at Vistaprint.

    Make a wedding website and put that address on your STDs. And/or include your TA's contact info. Guests can figure it out from there.
