Walmart had their little photo books on sale for $1.50...we are using them as part of our welcome package.

I'm sorry to hear about some of the negative reactions. My mother is a wedding decorator and I was a wedding coordinator at a golf course through university so when it came to planning my own wedding I didn't want to do the normal at home wedding. My mom was actually really excited and I didn't want her to have to worry about decorating and everything which she would want to do if we were at home. His family loves to travel so they were also thrilled. It's been a wonderful experience so far and we've received lots of support from both of our families and friends and even more people then we expected have decided to join us.

I'm two months into doing P90X and have seen great results so far...it is a challenging schedule to get into but it has given me some structure in my workout routines and I can do it any time of day as it is done from the comfort of your own home.

They look amazing! How much do you think it cost you to make each invitation? Where did you get the palm tree stamp for your wax seal?

As a bride trying to decide on dress styles I wanted everyone to be comfortable and wear something that they would be interested in wearing again. I picked the colour and the materials and then they were able to pick out the styles. We all went dress shopping together and it was lots of fun seeing everyone in the various styles. They picked out completely different dresses and it worked out perfectly and they all have a dress that they are comfortable in and will hopefully wear again.

Thanks for all the great ideas...we are still nine months away so I'm sure I'll be back to this thread once we are working on the ceremony details.

We decided to book through a travel agent and she was able to get significantly lower prices then a looked at on travelocity/expedia. Sometimes if they can book it on a charter flight/package the price is reduced. We posted the information on the website so that guests knew upfront with no surprises.

Our wedding is still 9 months away but I've designed our welcome brochure, welcome bags and welcome booklets...plan on at least designing our programs but will have to wait to print them. We've also picked out our music, dinner selection, favors, etc.

We were just discussing this and plan on making reservations at one of the specialty resorts at the resort...its a great opportunity for everyone to meet eachother and get together.

Thanks for the link...I've been looking for a photographer as I wasn't impressed by the one the resort offered.

I've been working with Weddings in the Tropics. I've been very happy so far and all our initial bookings are done. It did take some time to get quotes for guests that were travelling on different dates but that apparently had to do with the resort itself and they kept us up-to-date on what was happening. I had a lot of guests trying to make changes to their travel dates so they were great! I have my first meeting with them next week to start planning the actual wedding. I'll let you know how that goes!
